Hence, it's a nice way to get to know a spa like this; had I not signed up for it, Heyday would have been unknown to me for the rest of my life (might be an exaggeration but hey, when you are excited about something sometimes you want to amplify what you want to say, right?) I was simply overdue for a facial. Counting months from the last visit I had, my anticipation towards today's experience was HIGH. I felt like skipping to show up with a big grin on my face! They were expecting me because as soon as I stepped in, a young lady at the reception said, "You are Rika, right?" It was so nice to be expected! Since the first timer intake form was completed prior to visiting, the check-in took only a minute. I was a bit early for my appointment time. While I was waiting, I checked out some of the products that were displayed. I even tested a few of them on my skin; I was immediately impressed with it. Right at the appointment time (of 5:30pm), my esthetician, Aunjanee, came out from the back and greeted me. The young lady upfront explained to me about their cabins/stalls/room (however you describe it.) You'll be one-on-one with your esthetician in one cabins/stalls/rooms but it's an open-air system so you'll hear other people's talking/voices from other cabins/stalls/rooms. Some appear to dislike this system, this didn't bother me AT ALL (I've been to a facial place where it was a barber shop/hair salon style where they'll put you in one big room.) People can be chatty and loud but even if that happens, I think I'd still be able to handle the "noises". Aunjanee was so considerate of my old/sensitive skin. Once she cleansed my face using two different cleansers, she analyzed my skin thoroughly. She pointed out some problem areas and explained what would need to be done to tackle them. Her clear explanation was easily understood. And all the ingredients she used on my face had AMAZING scents. And the extraction part came. Since she wanted to clear the "congestions" especially on my nose, she squeezed it pretty hard (lol). This didn't bother me though as it wasn't painful. Oh, by the way, this place does not use steamers on people's faces; they only use hot towels (this was also explained to me upfront by the receptionist (I think); I wonder why that is. I didn't bother to ask. Was this a problem to me? Nope! I was OK with that 100%! 50 minutes of facial was just the right length. Because the whole experience was so relaxing (Aunjanee's soft voice had a hypnotic power) I was (at one point) half asleep! At the end, Aunjanee let me see the end result. My face was glowing like a bright moon in the dark sky! My parched middle-aged skin was supersonic hydrated. This was by far the BEST facial experience in a while. I do think it's important to note that the value of the 50-minute facial was $135, and for me, I probably wouldn't normally treat myself to this service. So it was truly a gift! And much needed hour of relaxation in my postpartum days. Setting up the appointment was so convenient through Heyday's website and creating an account. I actually had to chance the time of my appointment and was able to do it all online without having to call, which helped save me a lot of time. My personalized facial was with Ananda, who began by asking me what I wanted to focus on. I had no idea so just said anti-aging...? She talked to me about the importance of wearing sunscreen and exfoliating (once a week). Since the facial was free, I added the guasha treatment (for $50) which was a massage using stone in a scraping motion across the face and neck. I actually have a guasha tool that I have no idea how to use, so the experience was helpful! I loved all the smells from the products and was really relaxed laying with a warm blanket on a rainy day. After the facial, I bought two Dr. Loretta products - sunscreen and exfoliating pads which Ananda had used during the facial and recommended for me. I left feeling rejuvenated and inspired to take better care of my skin.

The first time I called to book an appointment, the first thing they asked was if it was through Groupon. I said yes and then they said they could only give me 9am (any day I asked for) which does not work for me as a person that works night shift. Finally, I arranged my schedule to make it work and I go in on 9AM and the lady asked if I have a Groupon, not my name or time or anything else. I say yes, and then she tells me she can't see me. I don't know what the point was of booking the massage and rearranging my schedule, if she doesn't honor an appointment. It sounds like they have something against Groupon, which they are allowed to I guess, but in that case then don't sell on Groupon.

Luckily, they did match it and I was able to schedule an appointment. I didn't know what to expect and since cold is NOT my thing, I only bought 1 session in 1 area. I chose to do my abs. Communication was awesome leading up to my appointment and they were able to get me in earlier than my Saturday 5p appt. Mariana did my Cryo Lipo and after taking my initial photos for progress, Mariana went in depth about the procedure and what to expect. The Cryp Lipo was a crazy experience...you start with blasts of nitrogen and it is cold. Mariana moved back and forth and between the cold and the noise, I think I held my breath for nearly the entire 2 minutes. There are 3 total nitrogen blasts. The next part is replacing the nitrogen blast with a frozen globe. I definitely liked that less than the blasts because it felt like cold acupuncture all over my abs. The globes are done twice and after you're all dressed, you stand on a vibration plate for 12 minutes. I think even after 1 session, I noticed a difference but I know I would need more sessions to get what I think would be ideal to tighten things up in conjunction with eating right and exercising. However, I am definitely glad that I did it and happy with my results. If you are thinking about cryo lipo, I would highly recommend Simply Amazing Spa for it!

I was running late due to traffic and arrived right on time for my massage, but I was a bit rushed and not fully settled mentally to ask detailed questions. During the service, my massage therapist, Melanie, mentioned that she was giving us a complimentary upgrade and began listing additional add-ons. We agreed to the CBD oil. No price was mentioned, and based on the wording "complimentary upgrade," I genuinely believed it was being offered for free as a nice gesture for my sister's birthday. After the massage and sauna, I checked out and was not charged for the CBD oil, which further reinforced that it was complimentary. However, the next morning I received a call stating that I needed to pay for the CBD oil treatment. (Which I end of doing). I explained that I believed it was complimentary and that had I known it was a paid add-on, I would not have chosen it. It wasn't something I needed or planned to add unless it was free. This situation was frustrating because it came down to unclear communication. The add-on should have been clearly explained as an extra charge, with pricing stated upfront. Using the word "complimentary" was misleading, and different wording should have been used to avoid confusion. The spa experience itself was wonderful, but the aftermath and how this was handled left me irritated. My advice to anyone visiting Simply Amazing Spa is to make sure you are fully focused and ask very clear questions about add-ons and pricing so you don't end up with unexpected charges after your visit.  The unclear and misleading communication about add-on services. An upgrade was described as "complimentary," no price was mentioned, and I wasn't charged at checkout, but was later asked to pay. This caused confusion and frustration and ultimately overshadowed an otherwise enjoyable spa experience.
