Eight days after I moved to Berlin with my brompton, this store had its grand opening. I was really happy to find a bike shop that services and deals with bromptons exclusively. On my first visit, I bought a bag and some easy wheels and talked at length with the store mechanic, who speaks German and English, and maybe even more languages. The second and third time I went I dropped off my bike for a tune up and a phone bracket, and I spoke at length with the owner about new ebike kits and the urban challenge. He's very helpful and well-informed in current brompton everything. Some people scoff at the thought of paying as much as a brompton costs. But if you truly invest yourself in a bike, it really does change the way you view biking and riding. Good design becomes more important.
I'm the third owner of my bike, and after I got it back today from the tune up, it coasted longer than I was used to, and it didn't squeak the way I had become so used to hearing. Additionally, when its folded, I can roll it through the Ubahn station with one hand.
