Ben at this store saw me walk in and readily ran up to help me. I've been here before and never had such great service as I did with him. He didn't say I needed a USB card to print. I'm old school. I bring in the two sided paper and need 1000 copies. He said right away miss and even told me to wait in the car and he would bring it out to me. No one ever at this store offered that service! I was beyond pleased with his attitude and he is a blessing to this store. He made me feel welcome with his smile and eagerness to handle what I needed to get done. Received a shipping quote for a box by one employee on Sunday. Took piece back on Monday and received a quote 2x higher the next day. Second employee would not honor the first quote causing me to lose money on a deal after I quoted customer the first quote. The only reason I ever come to this UPS location is when I have an Amazon return that's not accepted at Kohl's. Other than that I have no reason to visit a UPS. This location is the closest to my home, tucked in a hidden corner of a strip mall behind Buffalo Wild Wings. If you've never been here before, it's likely you'll have one heck of a time finding it. Every time I've been here the employees are just so, well, robotic. They are neither welcoming or friendly, but nor are the rude. They are just there, like zombie. And for whatever reason, it's like they are in sloth mode, moving very slowly. When I went in yesterday, 3 employees where behind the counter and not one greeted me or approached me when I entered. I literally stood there for nearly 2 minutes before I was acknowledged- and I was the only customer in the store. The grossest part of my visit yesterday was the nasty overflowing garbage can right by the door. It was spilling out all over the side walk. I almost drive to another UPS location because I didn't want to walk past it, or have to smell it in the summer heat. Just gross. Next time, I will drive to another location. read more

I went into the store to have a passport photo taken. I waited for the person ahead of me to take care of their business. As I stepped up to the counter three customers came in the door behind me. The owner asked me if he could take care of the other customers first. I said, I am a customer too" I stepped aside and he proceeded to take the next person in line. I was annoyed and headed to the door, only to hear him say "are you ready Miss?" Why now that I'm leaving and you are loosing my business, you care? I've been to this location a number of times and always had a great experience shipping items - until today. An Indian woman at the counter saw me struggling to get through the door with my packages and all but rolled her eyes at me. I let that go since she was older and it is not her responsibility to help me. Then I put my items on the counter. They were in boxes but needed to be taped, which I planned to purchase and tape myself there. As I place my items on the counter she rudely goes "What am I supposed to do with these?" I replied "This is the UPS store and you have tape, right? I'll buy some and you'll mail the packages." Had her tone and demeanor not been so rude, I never would have responded with that. I actually surprised myself by snapping back (new baby and no sleep ‍). Once she scanned my packages in I tried to buy tape and she told me that they'd tape them but "never to bring untaped packages in again". I offered to help her tape and she told me no. I initially got on here to find the number to call and talk to a manager since I've never been treated so rudely in the store before. But it sounds like the woman I dealt with may be the owner. After reading the reviews and people saying stuff didn't make it to the final destination, Im crossing my fingers my stuff arrives in the box (since she wouldn't let me help tape). This is something I'd never normally worry about based on my previous experiences but the whole interaction was odd and off putting. I'll give 3 stars since this is my first bad experience, but will come back and update once my items arrive where they're supposed to. ***UPDATE BASED ON OWNERS RESPONSE: ***Moving my review from three stars to one.*** I was not "full pregnant" when I came in a few days ago (I have a four month old), came by myself, and was shipping two awkwardly shaped packages (a very heavy projector screen weighing 28+ pounds and a projector). I also did offer to buy tape. Twice. I WILL NOT be back to this location. EVER. I have been here multiple times and never treated like this by the staff while in the store. It shocks me that I was treated this way by the owner and given a complete lie as a response. Once my packages arrive to their destination I'll update again. The UPS Store - Shipping Centers Near Me - Washington Twp, Michigan

I dropped off 5 different items going back to Amazon at the same time, I was given a receipt, the Indian man acted like he was taking each item and put my printed return codes I provided with each item. Over a month later those items never made it to Amazon. Amazon initially credited me for the items, a month later they are charging me for the 5 different items which were worth about $400. I told Amazon I did return them and I believe the UPS store either kept them or lost them. Amazon charged me, credited me and then charged me again, then credited me again for 4 of the items. I just got charged for the 5th item and now have to call again and explain the situation to Amazon customer service. So far Amazon CSR has been great to deal with. I went back to the same UPS store; again it's in Washington Twp. on 26 mile, behind BW3's. Initially I gave them to an Indian man who I believe is also an owner and relative or spouse of the Indian woman, I saw Indian girls there too, they looked like they could be his daughters, one helped take my items as the Indian man printed out receipts. He said to me, I noticed you come in here a lot and do a lot of shopping at Amazon. I just replied, yes I do. At one point it did not look like he scanned all my items either but he insisted he did. I did not see all the items I was returning itemized in any way. About a month later, when I went back to this store to explain to another worker, that was not Indian, what happened with the 5 items and how its been over a month and these items appear to be lost in limbo land, the Indian guy that worked with me when I returned the 5 items tried to hide in the back. I saw him slowly work his way out of my direct sight. I believe he knows what happened to those items and I believe this Indian family has a whole scam going on in that UPS location and I believe they have gotten away with some dishonest business. The worker told me I should talk with Amazon about it and they would help me. I told him the items I was returning were either lost or taken in their store or by the UPS driver, the worker looked at me like he had no answers. He did tell me items going back to Amazon are put in a big bin and could sometimes get lost in there and it could take a month to get back to Amazon. It was obvious this guy was trying to make up an answer that would be acceptable to me so I'd leave. I believe some of those workers may know what goes on there. I did not have this issue with closed and sealed boxes, only the ones that were not boxed up and that had the return code. I believe and sensed something dishonest has been and is still going on at this location. Please be careful if you go to this location and maybe just consider another one, there is another location in Washington Twp. on Van Dyke going into Romeo. So far I have not had any issues with them. I would consider being a part of a class action suit against this location and these people. I would also be willing to make a statement/complaint to UPS Corporate Head Quarters against the location and owners of this UPS on 26 Mile in Washington Twp. AVOID them unless you would like to deal with some of this same fun.. read more

Well, I called this UPS store today to get pricing on renting a mailbox. Don't believe their story about how they changed ownership because they are even ruder than they were before, if that's even possible! I was rushed through my question and taken around in circles with a answers that didn't have anything to due with my question of cost. Update: Went in today as I needed to scan some more items for work- asked for the pricing before I started scanning and today it was $1.00 per page. Inconsistent pricing and customer service. After going in one day to scan items and save them to a flash drive I am charged $2.00...two days later go in to scan the same items and am charged $10.00, be sure to ask before you start using their services-apparently pricing is based on who is working that day. Because I'm a frequent Amazon shopper, I often have returns, and this happens to be the closest UPS store to my house...which has turned out to be an extremely disappointing and terribly unfortunate happenstance. After my "last straw" experience today, I decided I'd check out the reviews this location was getting from other poor souls who are forced to patron this "business". The one star ratings were as surprising as a litter box full of cat poop when you have 6 cats. I had to make two trips today and deal with Amazon customer service in between (talk about fun times). But at least Amazon's customer service is friendly and eager to help you. The absence of customer service from the workers at this UPS location is shocking On my second there here were THREE workers there today, and they were actually acting as though I were BOTHERING them by coming into the store! I noted the hours before I left the first time, because I wanted to be sure to get there before they closed, and I saw it's 7:00 today. So I got there at 6:40...THEY WERE ALREADY STARTING TO PULL OUT THAT METAL CAGE THING WHEN THEY CLOSE!!! So I left my car running, and walked in. They look at their watches and say, "Just dropping off?" I was so they were REALLY happy about that, until we hit a MINOR glitch. This tiny issue was something that only cost them FIVE MINUTES AT MOST?? And I'm getting rushed comments, "That won't work. You should probably just take it with you and call Amazon." I told them that I knew the guy told me that they were supposed to reprint the label and they couldn't (or WOULDN'T), so I used the wrong label and had to call Amazon on my way home all anxious because this group of workers CANNOT WAIT to leave their jobs! And it's very apparent THEY HATE WHAT THEY DO, and they are terrible at interacting with people. When I went in for my first stop, I received no greeting and no direction. I knew what to do, but the young man there had this annoyed/pissed off look on his face like I was intruding on something. I even heard him sigh. When I couldn't find one of my items, he gruffly (and sounded pretty just usarcastic) that "it didn't even matter and I "could put this pair of batting gloves into this huge box I used to bring ALL of the packages. I write reviews so rarely but I felt that I had to do this one due to the blatant disregard for their jobs. I truly hope management will give these workers some much-needed training on personal social skills and customer interactions/satisfying OR realize these don't appear to be isolated incidents or a few bad days. If you want your business to grow and people to feel good when they go there instead of leaving feeling angry or sad, then you may have to "clean shop".. I am one of those people who my friends tell me I'm "too nice", so it takes a lot to get under my skin, especially to write a review like this. read more

We shipped a few boxes of fine Polish china to CA. It took 2 trips to get the boxes to the UPS store. On the 2nd trip, Ben assisted, and advised that every piece had to be re-wrapped to ship. It was a significant sum to ship this 50 yr old china. Ben assured me that he would take care of it personally and he did. The surprising thing is that, the packages arrived a day early and Ben called to follow-up to assure it arrived in good condition! It did! I've Never received a follow up call from shipping! Additionally, during that 2nd visit, there was a medical emergency inside the store. Ben remained calm during the event, quietly tended the situation and then continued to assist me. (A customer, who was a nurse, stepped in until EMS arrived.) Ben is an amazing young man, who will truly add significant value to society in years to come! UPS, you trained him well but you cannot teach integrity and responsibility. Lucky are you! This is a great service location. Though my kudos here, is for Ben - it is apparent that the entire staff works in tandem with efficient and pleasant customer service. read more

She wouldn't let me use my UPS business account number due to "liability"...which is a complete lie as 4 other UPS locations as well as FedEx stores have happily done so. Do not do your business with this establishment. Mind you I have a large month PO Box with them as well as spending 100's of dollars a month in printing services. Today was a very different day I went in today waited in line got to the front door was told I want allowed in without a mask, I said okay went to my truck got a N95 mask went back in line got again to the door and and noticed one of the clerks was wearing his bask below his nose just barley covering his mouth. I said the clerk hey if I have to go back to my car and get a mask on then you should have to wear it properly covering your nose and mouth. The smart a#% clerk said he could do what ever he wanted I said fine then I will not be putting on mine. He said to me fine your not coming in this my store I can do what ever I want. I said should I call the police he then said in front of customers in the store call them they will laugh at you and call you an idiot. EXCUSE ME!!! So I called the police and they of course did not laugh he actually offered to go in for me to pay for my items and the officer said you know what I do I would write a review and boycott them. The Macomb county sheriff went in came back out said I see what your taking about he is a smart a#% and there is clearly no point in him wearing the mask if he is doing so by not covering his nose. What a compete jerk and am appalled that one would operate a business in this manner. You see what they don't understand is I'm a Business owner in the area and will be sure to use my name and reputation to ensure that this place is boycotted at all cost. I came on to Yelp to leave a review after my horrible experience in the store several days ago, only to see the owner has responded to a different review with MY experience. I had a larger, 78 lb box with a pre-paid label that said I could take it to any UPS store location. I went into the store and asked for either assistance or a dolly. The owner said she didn't have anyone to help me but had her employee give me a dolly. Two other customers in the store offered to help me, and we brought the package in the store. The owner then proceeded to rudely tell me it needed to be weighed. But here is where the store owner needs to accept responsibility...her floor scale that is designed to weigh heavy packages was "not connected to anything," so she forced two CUSTOMERS to lift the package onto the counter and balance it on a counter scale designed for small boxes. If you think it's my responsibility to get the package in the door, then it's YOUR responsibly to have the appropriate equipment for weighing the box. Asking customers to lift the box onto the counter on a scale not designed for such a large box was unacceptable, poor customer service, and a big liability for you in the event a customer got injured. After weighing the package, the owner then said it needed to be moved to the back of the shop. I responded that I would let her and her employee figure that out, to which she responded "It's not my responsibility, I'm just a woman, what do you want me to do." I did not walk out of the store, despite the owner's comments in the previous review. I stated the obvious, that I am a woman too, and she made a discriminatory comment that "Why didn't you bring your husband with you then?" Not sure what that had to do with her doing her job by moving the box to the back of the store. Once again, another customer took the dolly and package and walked behind the counter and put the package in the back as the owner watched. From the minute the package was in the door, this owner allowed CUSTOMERS to do her job, from weighing the package to moving it to the back of the shop. The owner wrongly claimed in the previous review that I didn't pay her. It was a pre-paid label that had already been paid by the vendor. It's obvious to me that if you're not actually pulling out your credit card to buy something in the store, the owner could care less about your current or future business. In conclusion, here is my advice to you Ms. Owner: Walk outside your shop and look up. See that logo on the front of your store? You own a franchise called UPS. That stands for the United PARCEL Service. You move and ship PARCELS for a living. Not servicing customers because you have a bad wrist is not an excuse. It's not your customers' problem that you can't staff your store appropriately with employees that know how to use a dolly. Your rude, combative, and nasty demeanor does nothing but hurt your business. You give UPS a bad name and reputation. You might want to consider a different line of work if you think handling packages is not your responsibility. Re-read all of the reviews here-have you considered maybe YOU are the problem and not your customers? Finally, a little Business 101 tip-the customer is ALWAYS right!! I went to leave my review for the Ups store on 26 mile in Washington Township and was shocked that they do not have five stars. I have lived in this area for six years and I pass to UPS stores to go to this location. I can only imagine there must be strife about the mask wearing or something to that nature because the service here is unbelievable and I can assure you I do a lot of shipping. not only Is the staff respected by the owner he personally handles things at the desk with such courtesy and makes my returns so easy. The only way the store can get bad reviews as if someone came in in a bad mood because this location is top notch and I'm not kidding! I was just there and asked the gentleman if he was the Manager as I had seen him so courteous to a new employee there and explaining to her just keep practicing and you'll get better and to my surprise he is actually the owner. Terrible. I sent a package on an early Friday afternoon at the 23 Mile and Romeo Plank location. Richard is the manager. It was to be sent 2nd day air (Tuesday). It was delayed until today (Wednesday). It's 3pm and my package is still not there. I called because there is a money back guarantee. They won't even give you the cash back. They claim they would have to mail me a check but the manager has to process it and will call me back. That was yesterday and I still have not received a call. Next time I'll use Fedex instead. read more

Good: clean Bad : Customer Service When dropping off a package. Don't try to ask for information, even it is only you and the person behind the desk in the store. I asked for tape to secure the packing slip and she offered to sell me some. I was told I couldn't put the items for drop off up on the counter that it was for paying customers. When asking for a transaction receipt she mumbled that I should have printed it out at home. Ugh, I have seen better treatment at a Black Friday sale. These negative reviews are all spot-on to my own experiences here. The woman that runs this place makes very clear that she would gladly push any of her customers off a cliff if it meant saving her from having to do any work or be inconvenienced. At one point they even closed for several days and didn't bother to have anyone else fill in or try to make any amends to their repeat customers. I came into the store today about noon. I had to have some documents printed out for my mom. Under the governors orders of mask mandate I am medically exempt. I have not had a problem ANYWHERE else about this until today. I was in the store for about ten minutes and they printed my documents and I have them my money. All of a sudden this Indian Pakistani man told me to put on my mask right now. I explained I am medically exempt. Mind you I was in the store 10 minutes and no one said anything. Some other customer was whispering something to the Indian Pakistani guy, that's when him and some other guy out into me. I politely explained I was exempt and have medical reasons for not wearing a mask and being i just gave them my money documents in hand that I would be leaving shortly. They then said they would not service me. I said that goes against the Americans with Disabilities Act, the 1964 Civil rights act and even under the ridiculous mandate I wouldn't have to wear a mask being I have a medical exemption. The Indian man was rude and said I don't care about your medical problems YOU WEAR YOUR MASK" this is unacceptable how I was treated and I was so shaken up after I left I almost got in an accident. Now I'm on phone with corporate office and I've been waiting for 15 minutes. I would not recommend UPS for anything, shipping, printing or whatever. The lasting impression made on me and their inconsiderate manner in which I was treated because I have a disability is unacceptable and I will be making a call to Department of Justice regarding Americans With disabilities act, The Americans With disabilities advocates and Fair Trade Commission. So if you have a disability which prevents you from wearing a mask just know UPS cares nothing about you or your illness they care about their money. read more

Beware! Store overcharges for shipping!!! Use any other ups then them. We went to them and shipped a package, cost $91 and calculator said $74. When pointed out to them they said sometimes the calculator is wrong. Gave the same weight and size-address to another store and it was still $74. Shady business! read more
