Every six hours they update their website to delay the delivery. The current ETA is Friday at noon. My wife called and spent several hours suffering "death by menu" in their automated system. I called and after saying, "representative" 15 times was finally connected to a person who barely spoke English. I am taking a break to write this, before I try again. The death of my father is a once in a lifetime experience. I will never forget what is happening.

They have 6 huge washers that say they can handle 45 lbs. As much as we pack them we would not be able to load in 45 lbs. this week we used all 6 of these washers. They do a great job! The dryers are not so large so we end up so we used 18 of them. One quarter is all it takes to dry a load.

The only, and I mean only area I would recommend improvement is their booking application. Even if you book online, you must call to change the appointment. Each franchise, I'm sure, has zero control over how the website works and integrates to them locally - so this is really scraping for a criticism. I gave them 5 starts for good reason - great value, outstanding service, and great results. I booked a carpet cleaning for 4 bedrooms on the app; which is very easy to use and understand the cost - I chose "deodorize" for the room where there is a pet and standard cleaning for all 4 rooms. A great value at a little over $50/room on average - and the appointment took about an hour or so. ($169/4 rooms plus $25 for 1 room plus 7% sales tax) Great results and the technician did a great job communicating during the walk-through and performed exceptionally well. I highly recommend Stanley Steemer and will be booking them again. Tips: 1) select a service day when you have some flexibility. You will be given a "day of" appointment and booked for morning or afternoon the day prior. The team will call you when they are heading to your location (10-15 minutes notice in my case). You will not want to be hosting an event or party that same evening - if cleaning to prepare for a function at your home, book at least 3 days beforehand. I would suggest the week prior. 2) clear the path to the rooms you plan to have serviced. The technician will need to connect to your water line. There was zero mess from the hose extending from my front door, down 30' of hallway to the bedrooms. 3) in the rooms, clear as much of the floor area as possible - it's alright to let furniture remain, but I do not recommend moving the furniture for the cleaning during the application and also would suggest you not put furniture back in place or move any furniture onto treated areas for 1-2 days after the appointment. 3) immediately upon completion, your carpeting will still be a bit damp - walking on it is fine, but I'd suggest removing shoes and socks and allow cleaned areas to air dry and if you selected the "deodorize" treatment, plan to let the room air dry for 1-2 days without any fans or other air movement. The rooms which were only cleaned dried quickly - within 5-6 hours 80% dry, and nearly 100% dry by the next morning. 4) if you have pets - secure them during the appointment. Your access to the home will need to remain open a bit to allow the equipment to continue from your water source to the locations being cleaned. We put our cat in her tent when we got the "I'll be there in 10 minutes" phone call.

In fact the no-kill shelter gave me a paper and told me to contact a vet about killing the dog instead. The shelter is no longer on I will use or support. You are better off finding a private rescue if you have a problem animal. This facility is abysmal in service, quality, and ability to serve the community.

I estimate I saved at least $50....seriously! Plus, I am helping to build more homes for those in need! Be warned that it may take a bit to fish thru the stuff. What else? Previous trips, I've found wood blinds for $8 each (unheard of), new range hood for $15 (at least $75 at the store), wood pieces and trim super cheap, paint primer, cabinet doors...etc. Just wish they were closer...then again, I like to stop in here and on the way back stop in Menard's for those things I couldn't find at Habitat.
