I entered the Northdale UPS Thurs 12/11with reservations. I seldom mail packages other than at Christmas. Last year was Omaha Steaks...easy. This year, situations changed. I would be buying, wrapping, packing, and shipping. I am disabled, so I panicked. I knew USPS would be more complicated and expensive. I talked myself into using this UPS as it was a few blocks away from the Bob Sierra Y after my morning warm-up. I would have them do the packing, especially with one item being liquid and the bigger box going to CA. I told myself that the stress relief alone made it worth it...a Christmas present to myself. At 8:30 when they opened, the door was opened for me by a smiling young man...later learned his name was Shelton. I followed him to the main counter and we discussed what I was working with. I let a few others ahead of me as I was not in a hurry. Shelton professionally packed my items to secure them...I watched him as he certainly knew what he was doing. While, yes, them packing using their materials is more costly, I still knew it was going to be cheaper than USPS and, oh by the way, AARP offers a disc on the materials. Also, when they do it with their materials, there is a higher level of insurance. Shelton finished up, I paid him, thanked him, and said I would be in Monday, today, with one more package. My confidence built by today, I had found a good box, packed my items, but left it open. When I went to the store, Shelton wasn't in yet, but I was greated with another welcoming smile...this time by Kristy. I told her about Thursday, she proceeded to check my work, made a few minor adjustments. Kristy closed out my package and rang me up. Yes, I have written a book, but I feel that having experienced the service by Shelton and Kristy, this UPS location in Northdale is now my go-to package center. Thank you!! read more

Black Woman at the front seemed polite and first then had a super huge attitude towards the end and kept giving me smart comments arguing back and forth with me when I had questions about how to return an item. She didn't finish my order helped another customer when she asked if I was ok I said "yes waiting to check out still" and she got rude and very smart with me. I feel there should be a level of professionalism held when working at an ups and that was not upheld and she was snarky and very rude . I understood they are short staffed but no reason to take it out on a customer. Will make sure management is notified. read more

I stopped in here yesterday to inquire about the cost of shipping a package from Tampa, FL to Waddy, KY. I requested the cheapest way possible, I was told that is "Ground' via UPS. I said sure. A young girl with glasses then proceeded to weigh and measure my package. It was in a typical cardboard box: 14 inches long, 6 inches high and 5 inches wide. The weight of the package was a mere 2 pounds 8.7 ounces, she then told me that the cost to ship this GROUND would be $25.98. Let me repeat that, she tried to charge me $25.98 to ship a 2 pound 8.7 ounce non fragile, cardboard box via GROUND. Luckily there is a full service United State Post Office very close to this UPS location. I went to that post office this morning and do you know what they charged me to ship the exact same box? $11.80 This UPS store tried to charge more than TWICE what the post office charges to ship the same exact box! Thank God Americans have the post office! Sure you may have to wait in line a little longer than you would a privately owned UPS store but at least you aren't being gouged to death to pay to ship your package! SHAME ON THEM FOR BEING SO GREEDY! Do not go here if you need to pay to ship something. The only thing this UPS location is good for is dropping off Amazon returns with pre-paid labels. read more

What a lovely location, nicely nestled within the confines of sheer convenience. And now let me highlight the utterly magnificently stellar service that awaits you within. Not only is one cheerfully greeted; the staff does take the time to go above and beyond to help each customer. I came in one afternoon with an overwhelming task, and a lovely young lady was able to assist me with the issue at hand. She took it upon herself to reach out to my service carrier and sort out the problem on my behalf. I couldn't have been more grateful and appreciative. Lastly she packaged and sealed my package with great care and attention to detail (even thought I ultimately realized I had to take it to FED EX). Yet, when I arrived for my appointment today, I was told it could not be honored because there wasn't a notary available. WTH? You sent me confirmations and a reminder. Unacceptable. It's the closest UPS Store to me ... so it is what it is. If I can go to another one I do but it's just more for the convenience factor. They are not friendly and love to upcharge and tell you they can't send anything that already has a label. read more

Love this store and it's owner! I have used this particular location specifically over the last year because of the customer service - they are consistently pleasant, quick and easy to talk too. I use the store for mostly Amazon returns but whenever I need something printed in color or need things laminated, I just send my project to their email address and it's a quick/easy process. All within a reasonable cost. I highly recommend this business and its convenient location! read more

"Lost" two pairs of Nikes and then UPS gave me the runaround. I opened an investigation, which UPS closed without finding the shoes. Then I called two more times only to see that my claim was not approved because there was "not enough information". All I know is that my shoes were never scanned out of this store. Finally got in touch with them later in the day. Aggressive on the phone, but agreed to hold the package another 2 days. When I got there there they more aggressively asked why I had written them a bad review - that he had agreed to hold the package and was doing me a favor he didn't have to do. I pointed out that I had been calling for 5 days, no one ever answered the phone, left voicemails, and no one called back. He was still angry. I didn't bother pointing out that the "favor" he did wouldn't have been necessary if anyone had answered the phone or returned calls in the first place. I just walked out shaking my head. read more

Stressful - late - done wrong. I can see by the reviews I am not alone - this store gave me a price over the phone for color copies. I shopped around and they were the closest so called again to confirm price - then when I went to check out the price was double. The clerk called the owner - and he asked if I knew him - when I said I didn't, he refused to honor the price I was quoted. When I asked for a price list the clerk said they don't have the prices written down anywhere - hmmmn. And - my collated copies were not collated - "the machine did it wrong" . Uhhhh . Really? The machine? The owner of the store would not redo them so this poor high school girl collated them all by hand and was late to her next job. The copies ended up wrinkled and messed up from all the handling. The owner does not look out for his employees - or his customers !! So much for locally owned ! read more

This UPS Store turned this situation around!!! The owner, Jamie, took time to call me and express his condolences. He said this was a HUGE misunderstanding that should have never happened. He purchased new flowers for me. This means the world...especially now that my second kitty (Salvaje) might need to be put to sleep. This is 3 deaths in 45 days for me. Jamie took steps to make sure that this never happens again. I will be staying at this store. They DO understand that the customers are the reason they are in business and soooooo busy. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER ! I spent 108 bucks to mail LIVE fish to be delivered 2nd day. The STORE let the fish sit for 25 hours and then gave the package to the POSTAL SERVICE. If I wanted the package to be sent via USPS I would have went to the post office. When I called the store they gave me the number for UPS tracking which didn't work since it was sent USPS. The kid was clueless when I went to the store and asked him what he could do about the issue. He told me nothing and told me to call USPS. Im certain the rare fish will be dead by the time it is delivered on Friday. ZERO STARS and will never use them again and will tell all my friends to NEVER USE UPS STORE FOR ANYTHING ... I put in a request for a return with Amazon with a UPS pick up (no label needed). The carrier never showed up. I decided to go to UPS to drop off the package. They took the package but charged me $1.09 to print the label but it was not needed. You would say $1 it is not a big deal- and the man at this store did say that. Correct! But for me it means a lot about their care for their customers. There are 2 girl clerks there always trying to do their best to help their customers but the guys are just here to take your money. They don't care about you as a person or customer. They lost my business as an individual and the business of my company. read more

6/15/2021 - This location was next to the closest to me. The customer service is not good. I asked if they have a bag to put the box in he said no bag for the ground only Air. I can put it in a box. He put it in the box then tape it up. took it, weighed it, and told me the total was 9.30$ I said for a box? That I can go and get from Walmart for 0.88 cents or $1.00 at Home Depot. I said wow, I can go home and get a box, the young man answer and said' you can do that." Talk about customer service. That location will not be getting any business from me. I was returning a package to amazon. I had the bar code on my phone to allow the ups store to print the label. The device they used to scan would not work so they had me email it to them print it on paper and then scan it . The young man did not try to scan it off his phone. He then charged me $1.07 to print it. i rarely have cash on me and gave him my card and he wanted to charge me $3.+ to use my card for $1.07. Luckily I had 2 dollars in my wallet that i did not realize i had. I have used this store for years but this will be my last visit. I am a clerk in a large chain store when and item does not ring up and i have to go out to get the price and a good bar code i do not charge my customers extra. Your stupid selfishness just cost you a customer for a piece of paper. This store has offered nothing but fantastic service. Gabby has helped me with my mailbox and my packages numerous times. The staff are always very friendly. This store also offers so many different services from mailboxes to shipments to any print job you could possibly think of.
