Never needed assistance until today, as the box that I came with wouldn't be large enough to fulfill all contents & required a shipping label. I came in with an already packed box, along with other items I was hoping to purchase a mailer for. My mom came with me, as I'd need help carrying items in the store. We had a few questions regarding the shipment, including insurance for the package.. We never got an answer to any of the questions, just a blank stare. Instead of giving me the mailer as requested, this man began cutting my box open, I assume, to put both packages together in a larger box. He didn't say a word, ask for permission to open it, or even let me know what he would be doing with it. My mom asked that he be careful while slicing through the tape to avoid damaging any of the contents inside. This man immediately began making condescending comments towards my mom, and asking "is this your package or hers?" in a strange tone, as if she didn't have a right to ask questions. He did end up grabbing a bigger box from the back and started loading everything inside. We wanted to be sure that all of the contents were included in the box, as I had a bunch of small stickers inside that would keep falling out. Not only that, but we wanted to be sure that the package was secure, as the "new" box had previously been taped and cut open. Some more comments to my mom: "are you an overbearing parent?" & "please do not touch the package," after my mom tried making sure the box was secure, and mocking her whenever she laughed uncomfortably. The last straw for this man, I guess, was when my mom reached for my package (that was sitting on the counter in front of us - not in his hands) in attempt to add more tape from a roll that we brought with us. He picked up the box to slam it on the counter, told her to take it, then told us to leave. I wish I could've given this place a good review as it was a convenient solution to fulfilling my orders, but realistically, this place doesn't care about you or your shipments. Staff is not friendly or helpful, and in my opinion, is only in business to make a quick profit. This place is a bit unorganized & very time consuming if you are looking for any kind of assistance, or planning on using them as a label and/or mailer provider. Only good as a dropoff location in my experience, and a lot easier to get the job done without actually speaking to the employees. They don't want to help you.

I am shocked and do not believe that he should be unleashed and let loose to deal with the customers because he has no people skills at all. He should not be the interface between this Post office and the public, rather, place him behind the scenes where he won't be able to cause any trouble. I noticed several other complaints about him on the internet. Today, I went to this Post Office to mail a letter to my granddaughter in Ireland. There were three people in line when a woman passed us by and went directly to Grace who had just arrived at the counter. Grace did not ask her to wait her turn in line, but assisted her. Grace allowed this obnoxious woman to jump/crash the line! When finished, I told the woman, who is walking garbage, that she was supposed to wait in line as everyone else did. When I finally was called to the counter by Andrew, I tried to file a verbal complaint about this matter. He not only would not listen, he actually was nasty to ME for chastising the woman. If Andrew possessed a brain cell, he would be dangerous! DUHHH! I plan to submit this review to several other internet sites so that people are forewarned.

Yesterday, I had a wonderful experience at the Southampton UPS Store. I'm always happy with their…read moreservice and the friendly staff, but yesterday was especially exceptional. I called late in the afternoon to inquire about having dishes packed and shipped to Tennessee. The manager, Shahzad, was very kind and quickly scheduled me for 4:00 PM. When I arrived, the store was quite busy, and Shahzad was finishing packing another customer's items in the back. When it was my turn, he invited me to watch the packing process. It was unexpectedly fascinating -- I learned a lot about the care, attention to detail, and effort required to pack fragile items safely. While I was there, the UPS driver arrived around 4:30 to pick up several boxes. I didn't catch his name, but he was very positive and friendly, with a warm smile. He mentioned he had already made 200 stops and still had two more hours to go -- and yet his attitude never wavered. It was uplifting to be around such cheerful, hardworking people, especially with all the negativity we often see in the world. I didn't stay to watch the second box get packed because I completely trusted Shahzad to handle everything and ship it out by the end of the day -- and he did. His professionalism, patience, and kindness really stood out. I will definitely keep doing my business at Shahzad's UPS Store, and now that he explained the shredding process, I plan to use their shredding services too. Wishing Shahzad, the UPS driver, and everyone at the Southampton UPS Store a very happy, healthy, and safe holiday season. They definitely earned it!

He's rude, unhelpful, lazy, and completely disrespectful. When you ask him to scan your items, he tells you he will and then dismisses you, asking you to leave. But worse yet, he failed to scan three of my return packages--worth over $3,000. Now there's no tracking and no proof they were ever dropped off. There are plenty of better, more professional places nearby. I won't be back and strongly recommend others avoid this location
