This is the 2nd time I have had to walk out of this place fuming. The first the owner was just as rude as can be. Almost like he was trying to be obnoxious. I was trying to mail a package and questioned the pricing when it was 3 times the expected amount. Went across the street to the US Post and it was almost 60% cheaper. This time we ordered a print job through USP.com. UPS confirmed the order and gave us a pick-up time and date at this store. We went in and the owner was rude and unhelpful. He said, We don't do print. When asked what to do about this, he gave no answer and did not try help in anyway. He was loud and rude again. I am very hesitant to post such a low score for any company but after being treated int the same poor manner on more than one occasion, I feel the need to share. This location is the only spot for me to drop off my prepaid UPS package and I've made 2 drop offs in the last 6 months. Both time I was "helped" by an older man who i believe to be the manger/owner of the establishment. Both times I simply requested a receipt or something to prove that it was dropped off and was scornfully advised that the tracking number is the receipt and that I'd have to write down the tracking number. I understand what he was saying to me but at other locations they gladly hit "print receipt" and hand me this same notice, so I don't understand why it can't be done here, laziness? At this point I'm gonna go with laziness because he did finally give me this receipt, but only after arguing with me and "making his point." I might have even been okay with the whole, copy the tracking number down thing had he just been a little more pleasant about it instead of taking every opportunity to make rude comments about my request. I don't appreciate being treated like this and would do almost anything to never have to go in there. read more

This store Rocks. There is this one employee that stands out to me only because when I go to the store he is the one that is professional, kind, helpful and caring. His name is Luis, quiet but he knows he info about UPS and with me he knows AMAZON returns like the back of his hand. I just came here to drop off a box and an envelope. The box was completely taped up but the envelope wasn't sealed. There were 2 guys working. I asked to use the tape. Guy #1 said $1. I said $1 for a piece of tape? I said I'm not asking you to tape up the whole thing. Guy #2 (Fred I'm assuming manager or maybe not considering his unprofessionalism) said yeah it's $1. I said well can I have some water or one of those sponges to seal it? Fred hands me someone's used water bottle and a dirty paper towel. I said to guy #1 can you do this because I'm not using this. He says no you can do it. Whoa ok. Then the Fred said in a nasty way give it to me I'll tape it. Taped it and tossed the package. He continued with this demeanor saying that's our policy. So I said your policy doesn't reflect a price. Did you come up with that off the top of your head? He said he can't put a price on everything. I said you're a business but no worries this is what Yelp is for. He kept talking after I was walking away and that's when I asked for his name. I too was happy to see that the store employees under the new management seem friendly, attentive, and accommodating. However, as stated by other reviewers on Google reviews, the attendants at this UPS store steal Amazon returns. You come in with your Amazon return code, they scan it, give you a receipt, but never put a return label on the package and never hand it over to UPS for pick-up. I had 3 separate packages for return to Amazon. The attendant put return labels on the first two, but did not on the third. I thought that was odd and asked "Are we done here?" He replied "yes" and handed me a receipt with 3 tracking numbers. I assumed he was going to label the last package after I left. Days passed and two of the three packages were picked up and sent to Amazon, but the third was not. I called UPS and they said that a tracking number was issued but the store never handed the package over to UPS. I then called the store and informed them of this. The person who picked up the phone was incredibly rude and defensive. He kept insisting that my package was handed over (though he never even asked for the tracking number!) and told me to call UPS (which I had already done and told him so numerous times). When I threatened to go to the police, he changed his tune a bit and said he will have the store manager call me. He never took my phone number or any information related to my package and I never did get that call. All and all, though the employees there seem friendly and polite, they steal Amazon returns. If you are going to drop off Amazon returns at this UPS store, insist on a receipt and stand by to see if the attendant places a return label on your package. Also, maybe mention that you have read that packages dropped off here never get to UPS so you will see if this one does - perhaps that will put a bit of fear into these dishonest employees. I hope the owner of this particular store is alerted to this issue. I have yet to find who that is. read more

Parking at this plaza is usually horrendous. But I happen to pass by and saw a spot right in front of the UPS store. So I decided to stop by to drop off a package. When I walked in, the Indian guy who works there told me to leave the package. I asked for a receipt. He said to wait by the register. He was talking to another customer. When he was done about 2 minutes later, he came over and started scanning packages that were on the counter, supposedly the ones other people dropped off before me. Then after scanning my package, he tossed the receipt on the counter. Seriously?! He was so disrespectful and rude. I'm never going back there again. The specific website for this UPS Store offers online printing - where you submit your files online, pay online, then pick up your prints. Last night, I uploaded files to their site and included all required billing information (in preparation for an early morning meeting). I received a confirmation email from their store regarding my order. This morning, on my way to my meeting, I stopped at the store to pick up my prints. The girl at the counter notified me that (although the sign in the front window says "printing") this UPS Store does not offer printing services....I had to go to my meeting unprepared, and I am not sure whether I was charged or not-I will find out. He charged 3 times more than Nasgaser did to forward my mail and also charged me for the envelope and 3 lbs. of mail that didn't belong to me. Obviously I will NOT RENEW. I would give this business zero stars if possible. Where to begin? The owners (father and daughter) are downright nasty to customers (see other reviews). I rented a mailbox from them for about 4 years as I wanted a Shore Road address for my beach/surf themed business. First, it was severely overpriced compared to other similar service providers. Most importantly, they rarely contacted me when I received mail! The first few times I chalked it up to the fact that I didn't receive mail extremely often, but it got to the point where 80% of the time I had to guess or call to see if I received mail. When I complained, nicely at first, they said I had a problem with my email, yet they never could show proof that they had sent me an email in the first place. I was consistently unaware that I was receiving payments from my customers as well as other vital correspondences. When I took it up with the daughter, she became belligerent and even insulting. The man, I assume the father, was just as rude on multiple occasions, and this was to a business that I was paying about $1000 a year. I know these stores are franchise owned and not owned/run by UPS, but I have to imagine UPS has some kind of customer service standards. Other issues I had with them-when bringing in a package to send via UPS in the late afternoon, they refused to send it the same day even though the UPS man and his truck were in the store at the time. The UPS man actually felt sorry for me and took the package, much to the dismay of the store owner. Other times I visited the store and no one was there (door locked) during regular business hours. Finally, today I haphazardly went to see if I had any mail even though I hadn't received a notice. My box had payments from my customers that had been in the box for weeks (I was about to put those customers up for collection because I thought I hadn't received their payments) AND about 20 pieces of mail for another one of the UPS stores's customers. I wonder how much of my mail went into someone else's box and then was lost! I told the owner I wanted to close my account. He didn't want to forward my future mail even though its US Postal regulations required him to do so for 6 months after closing a box at an alternative postal service provider. He wanted me to pay $50 to have my mail forwarded for 2 months and wouldn't go any longer. Good luck! I am certainly going to report him to UPS and the USPS as well. N.B. I am certainly not one to leave such a scathing review and hurt someone's business, however, the experience that I had with the UPS Store on Shore Road in Port Washington (and the father/daughter duo who work there) was so horrific that I strongly dissuade anyone from doing business there. If you must use UPS, call them directly or go to Manhasset. These guys are the absolute worst. read more

While in a convenient location for me, this store is kind of a dud. My main issue (aside from some pretty blah staff people who don't return a "hello" or a "have a nice day") is that they are not consistently open during their own store hours. Several occasions I've stopped by a good hour or two before they were slated to close, and blammo, no one was in, no note or sign on the door etc. I've learned to go a few hours after they open as to avoid disappointment and a wasted trip. Not the worst place, but I'd definitely suggest checking out some place else if you are paying to ship something or have a ton of questions or a peculiar shipping issue. read more

I have seen them first hand deal with belligerent customers with the utmost patience and professionalism. The people who left the other comments might be the rude customers I witnessed. I went to ship an overnight package and asked for some blank envelopes. He got real nasty and asked if I had a UPS account. He said why don't you order them directly from UPS. I asked if the envelopes cost him anything and he got real nasty and said no but I don't have many. I told him he had a real bad attitude. When I was leaving the store he followed me out with the trash and started banged it on the sidewalk. He actually punched the plate glass window and started screaming obscenities. This owner should be stripped of his franchise. It is clear he has no training in how to communicate with customers or humans in general. Unbelievably rude and obnoxious. The store is in complete shambles and unorganized. No structure or flow to operate. The owner chastised, offended, & patronized me during my visit. Actually said "this is not your day today is it? Hope things work out better for you the rest of the day." Also - he does not ship with UPS numbers. "I'm a franchise, I don't do that - go to Uniondale if you're a UPS account customer. ". UNBELIEVABLE!!!! Said I should know better. I am writing this now hours after incident and still cant believe I had this experience. NEVER go to this place for shipping, NEVER consider working for this guy and spread the word. The power is in the consumer's hand to either change ownership or remove his charter completely. I for one, will advocate for his removal in my network. Port Washington deserves better. If I could give zero stars I would. The firm that sent the package back did not use my return prepaid slip. I asked the store to refund the return. They refused on two occasions ? I shoed the receipt as proof, at no avail. Unfortunately I had an extremely terrible experience at this location today. After trying to schedule a delivery of a package that required a signature at drop off, the company suggested I have the packed delivered to the local UPS store as I can not wait at home all day for a package to be delivered. I agreed to that arrangement and went to get the package at the UPS store. When I asked for the package the man at the front desk began yelling at me stating that he "should never have accepted the package from the driver and I can never do this again. ". He was assuming I was the one that purposely set this up. I had no idea what he was talking about and tried explaining to him that I was told by the company that this was what suggested to me as I cannot wait home all day for a delivery. He continued to yell at me that he should never have accepted the package. I was so embarrassed as this was happening in front of other customers and made me feel that I was at fault. I tried explaining to him that maybe he should call the company I ordered from and explain the issue with them as I am only the customer and he continued to yell at me stating he is a franchise and that is not his job. I left very upset and embarrassed I would highly recommend using a different location as no customer should be treated this way and I would not want anyone supporting this particular location. read more
