Dropped in to mail off a package while in the area. This location is smaller than my usual UPS but the staff were just as friendly and efficient. This UPS store has always been a great help to me, the man who helped me again this morning always takes the time to explain everything and also actually demonstrate what I need to do. Today it was instructions on how to return my Amazon purchase, which was a little complicated. Two years ago, when we were pinched for time, he also helped when we were looking to have something important notarized. I finally found my original review that had me feeling so guilty! I changed my original rating from one to five stars, (even though the manager and her team deserve 100 stars). Five stars can't even begin to reflect the awesomeness of these kind hearted people. I am so sorry I ever wrote that negative review in the first place. The whole experience has taught me alot. To the staff: You ladies and Lou are the kindest and most thoughtful people. I cried opening my house warming gift! People don't do that kinda thing anymore, so it means alot to me and my husband. Katie, Lou, and the entire team there have my respect. I appreciate them so much. They recently helped me and it meant the world to me. Katie notarized some legal documents for me during a very difficult time. She was so sweet and supportive. Also, the entire team works so hard to ensure every person gets their packages. My family and I were essentially homeless during the holidays and were forced to have all of our holiday purchases sent to the UPS store. I can't tell you how much I appreciate the way the entire team treated me. I know it was a lot. (I'm so glad to be in my home now.) I've always had great experience at this location An fast services even when long lines during Holiday's they worked straight threw like wasn't in line long? Also they do charge to printv labels but was only one dollar when I went over Holiday's? Never heard of five dollar charge unless you had five separate labels but you can print from comfort of your home to save money. read more

This place is insane, 1st I get charged 10 dollars to notarize 1 paper. Thinking that's the normal fee for florida state since I'm. New to the area and dont know better i paid it . I ended up going to a ups in punta gorda to notarize something because i in that area and they charge 5. So why does the port Charlotte location charge an additional 5 dollars.? 2nd I paid 67.20 to overnight something to Georgia and it arrived 3 days later WTF. I have been trying to get my money back I asked if they can apply it to my account they said yes I asked them to put it under my legal name they said no problem today 2 damn months later I walk in and get told they mailed put the check to the address on file which happens to be mine and that it was sent back Really Nikka. Then I'm told it's not going under my legal name so what good does it serve me to have a fucking check i cant even cash. This store gets 1 star because I xant give zero. read more

I called to inquire about renting a mailbox. The guy on the phone (presumably the manager) was very unprofessional. He was chewing on something while on the phone, and he was yelling to someone in the background while I asked questions. His answers were vague and brash, like he didn't want to be bothered. There is no way I would deal with this UPS location for anything. It's pathetic how each UPS is franchised, and customers may not have the professionalism that UPS wants to convey to their customers. read more

Sent a envelope to our Grandson in Denver, CO from the UPS Store in Promenades Mall in Port Charlotte, FL. Paid well over $10.....THREE WEEKS AGO! Tried to track it a week ago, was told it couldn't be tracked. Today, called the store to ask how to file a claim. Was told we couldn't file a claim by HELEN a miserable old woman! She refused to apologize for losing our package and insisted that her office (she owns it) did nothing wrong. How is that good business? I will not give up on this! I will avoid this location like the plague. I was tricked into paying more for my shipping than it should have costed. Got a quote online, but decided to take my package to this store to have it weighed and measured and shipped. If I had known they would rip me off by adding an extra inch to all my package dimensions, I would have done it myself online. I ended up paying over $7.00 more for the BAD service. If courteous and speedy service is what you are looking for...please only go on the days that Jennifer is working. She is efficient and very pleasant. The owner however is VERY rude, grumpy, never a pleasant greeting and never smiles let alone being able to work quickly. Today she left me waiting for 10 minutes while on a personal phone call and even told me if I didn't like waiting to take my package elsewhere. Which I will do in the future. read more

Two thumbs down. DON'T GO HERE! I had an issue with my boxes being returned and have never been treated so rudely in my life. The store manager actually said, "Do you want me to come to your house and tell you to breathe in the morning?" He was also very argumentative. I contacted the owners and all they did was respond with UPS policy and procedures. So basically I paid twice to have the same boxes shipped. I asked for a refund for one shipment but they denied my request. Also, they never apologized for how I was treated. Some companies and people do not care at all about customer service! read more

Yeah you should ship your belongings with another company, i sent out my computer with them and when it arrived the box was beat up and smashed in sides. when i opened it my computer inside was destroyed the blu ray drive was smashed into my computer tower and when i hooked it up see if it could even work, it wouldn't even start up. I filed my claim since i got insurance on it, but ups didn't tell me anything how to prep it for when they came to pick it up, and they said they wouldn't take it with out a box, (didn't say in original box i may add) so they said they'd come the next day. i got it ready and they didn't show up and i waited about a week and a half before finally calling UPS saying where are you guys to pick up my computer, they didn't know what happened and said they'd send somebody else to pick it up. another week goes by still nothing. (now i threw away original box because i thought it was irrelevant considering nowhere they told me to keep it in it's original box during any part of the claims process) about a month of dealing with this they say it has to be in original box and i'm like well it's gone but i took pictures of the box on how it arrived and the damage to the item and then sent those to the insurance company at which point they denied my claim saying i didn't have enough evidence for the claim. cause they wanted very specific pictures on the box which obviously is gone at that point in time. Horrible service, horrible follow threw of fixing something they broke, and i'm still with a broken computer cause of them. read more

I have waited awhile to write this review, as I did not want to act rashly immediately following my interactions with the owner of this particular location. I have never before, nor have I since, been treated in such a rude, brash and aggressive manner. On a 95 degree, extremely humid day, I entered the store with a package to return to a vendor. I had the original box and bubble wrap & my own packing tape. I walked into the store, asked the clerk to weigh the package to determine the shipping cost and then proceeded on a separate counter to finishing taping the package shut. I was having some difficulty with the bubble wrap fitting nicely, so was trying to re-arrange it. I was told by the clerk that because they do packaging that I was not allowed to tape my package shut in the store, but needed to bring it outside to the parking lot. The communication seemed so absurd that I thought she was kidding. I told her that I had literally one more piece of tape to put on the package and besides, "it's 95 degrees outside. You seriously aren't going to send me to the parking lot to finish this?" The store clerk demanded that I leave the store to finish taping my box. "Is this really happening?" In a rage the owner stormed out of a back room, pushed me aside, grabbed my package!! and walked outside with it. So I finished taping my package on a bench outside in the extreme heat and then walked back inside and sent the package because I didn't want this owner's terrible behavior to impact my convenience as I was traveling and didn't want to have to hunt for another UPS store. If I lived in this area, I would NEVER EVER give them my business. They showed a complete lack of understanding of basic acceptable behavior - forget customer service. IF UPS has any oversight of their franchises, they should do something about this location. read more
