I visited this UPS store today to have my driver's license and SSAN sent into the government for…read moreverification. This is the second visit to this UPS and one of the photo IDs did not take and I was informed to return to resubmit. There was only one person working and people lined out the front door plus a sign on the machine that it was out of order. I tried to ask a question if there was another UPS close by that could take care of me. The employee was so rude, and she snapped no, can't you read the sign it is out of order. She was rude to almost all she assisted while we were waiting. UPS does not need someone like this working for them, and this store appears to have employees like this all over. I don't recommend this UPS for any type of service a person may need. Now because she was alone was maybe the reason for the frustration and if that is so the manager should make sure there are enough employees to take care of customers.

A backup address was also not accepted. I went home very discouraged. About an hour later, MBA called me at home and said they had made some changes to the delivery information and it was accepted by the shipper. I went back and it took all of about 2 minutes to drop off the documents and get the documents entered for shipping. I will definitely utilize them for shipping in the future. When I asked if this shadow shift was paid and if I was guaranteed the job, I was told it is "unpaid, but we will provide a gift card for your time" and that I was not guaranteed the job, that would be determined after the shadow shift. Per Florida labor laws, it is not legal to provide compensation via a gift card and anyone doing a shadow shift must be compensated at least minimum wages in legal tender (cash, check, or direct deposit). This was a $14/hr minimum wage job. These are very sketchy business practices. I wish the company the best of luck in finding reliable help in this economy at minimum wage and extremely high expectations! Save yourself the trouble and your own sanity...don't waste your time interviewing for this company unless you want to work for 2 hours, unpaid, and not guarantee yourself a job!
