I gave a glowing review on Monday because everyone was so nice. However, they said they could send it out via USPS so I left it with them. The post office doesn't have it, and UPS said it is out of their hands because they gave it to them. They promised to follow up but didn't because THEY WERE TOO BUSY. They said it's up to me to go to the post office. When you leave a package with someone, THEY ARE IN CHARGE, not who they send it to. I AM DISGUSTED WITH THEIR LACK OF FOLLOW-UP. This is a great UPS store as the staff is always very helpful and nice! I have used their services for faxing, notarizing documents, printing and shipping. I recently needed a photo enlarged for a funeral. The staff were incredibly helpful, thoughtful and considerate in making sure the photo turned out perfect. The staff at this location is consistent; the same guys have been there for quite some time. Cannot say enough good things about this UPS Store. read more

Bad experience. Went to get a document notarized and after waiting in line I was told they don't provide notary services in the 2-3 hours prior to closing. If this is your policy that's fine but have the courtesy to let your customers know - a sign on the door would do the trick. Otherwise you end up leaving a negative impression on folks such as myself and a desire to take our business elsewhere (which I did). read more

I usually go to the Summit, NJ UPS Store to ship, as they have always taken good care of me. But I was in New Providence for another matter, so I decided to give this store a try. BAD MOVE. I was first told that to get my package insured for $3,100, I'd have to ship it express - either overnight or 2-Day. For a cost of $815. "They really won't insure it if you send it ground," he told me. Really? That's not what every other UPS Store has ever told me. So I said, "Ok, how about ground shipping?" He quoted me $280, plus $70 to pack it. Roughly $350 to ship it. "Thanks, I'll try somewhere else." And I did. I went to the Summit, NJ UPS Store and they packed, shipped and insured it for.... $206. Not $800. Not $350. $200. When I told them what the New Providence UPS Store tried to charge me, the woman said, "Something's not right there." I agree wholeheartedly. This store is a rip off. Whenever I've needed to return something from Amazon or send a package to my son in college, they have made it super easy for me -great service and easy parking. Also, they are open on Sundays which has been a definite plus when my Saturdays are packed with other errands and events. read more

The only time I use The UPS Store is to return packages that I already have prepaid labels on (Amazon, Zappos). In 30 seconds I walk in, drop off the package, decline a receipt and walk out. The minimal interaction I have with staff was a pleasant one. I have been to this location before and never had an issue. I ship packages so rarely that every time I do, it is like the first time. The staff at this location is always friendly and helpful. Tonight I brought 5 big boxes in 15 minutes before closing. The 20 something guy who was working handled everything, answered all my questions, and was pleasant. I was in and out in 10 minutes. Wouldn't use the Post Office again after tonight experience. read more

Being a student and having a slight online shopping addiction, I find myself at UPS very often. Whenever I go there I am always treated like a priority customer. The store seems like it is always busy, but you would never feel like that. The men who work there are always professional and help me without a problem. Even though this store is about 20 minutes from my house I always choose this UPS location. When I first started college I was shopping books back and forth and was lost in the process. These people are extortionists! Through the UPS website, I arranged to pick up a package at this store rather than having it delivered during a snow storm. The website said there was no charge for this option. The guy at the store would give me the package unless I paid him $5.00. He told me that UPS did not charge for this service, but the local franchise did and the charge was $5.00. He told me the franchise was a local small business and did not have to abide by UPS policies. After an hour on the phone with customer relations for UPS and UPSstores (yes they are different numbers), they told me and him that indeed this was a service offered by UPS and the customer should not be charged. A very unpleasant experience. I will avoid this store and UPS for both personal and business shipping. read more

I don't think its weird that the UPS store wants you to pay for their SERVICES like packing, printing, faxing, etc. The above reviews are written by a bunch of fully grown, adult cry babies who need their hands held to cross the street. If you're SO unsatisfied with your experience at a UPS store that you all you can think about for weeks is going on google and writing them a bad review than you need to get a grip. I will only ship my packages from this UPS location. They provide great customer service and I am always helped right away. The staff is very professional which is much different than some other locations. One of the workers, Steve, always helps me box things up and ship them out so my package arrives to its location at the right time, even if I need something to get there the next day. Its rare to find staff members who work to make you their top priority and do it with a smile, and I always know I am walking into a professional, cohesive, and positive workplace each time I pick something up or send something out. The friendliness and professionalism of the staff along with their reliableness is why I highly recommend this location! read more

Twice I have attempted to use this store. Due to my busy schedule, both times I arrived 15 minutes before closing. Both times the store was already closed. I saw another customer reading the hours as well. If you have a business that is supposed to be open until 4pm, be open until 4pm. People depend on your hours for planning their errands.
