Since the UPS stores closest to me didn't have notary services available that day since the staff who provide them weren't in, I ended up calling the Lancaster location to check whether they offered notary services and if someone was actually available. They confirmed there was, so I headed straight over. I was attended to almost immediately by Claudia, who prepared my documents and took payment (around $18, printing included), then handed me off to Rich, who took care of everything from there. Had to drop off something and didn't have time earlier at my usual drop off so after I finished my appointments here in Lancaster I stopped by around 130pm. Parking is plentiful and the store is spacious however there's a sign in front that says to make a line outside if the line is to the door, so i hesitantly opened the door. I see that the layout of the store is probably the reason for this sign, it is not laid out that well in my opinion because the registers are to the right of the store, the left of the store has items for sale and some scanners, I'm sure this causes quite a bit of congestion and it causes the store to look messy and haphazard. Probably it would be better for the registers to be straight back and the two walls on the right and left to instead have things hanging on and the scanning stuff at the front. Then the lines could go straight back. Anyways on this time I came there was no line and the staff assisted me quickly. I was in and out within 3 minutes probably. Amazon returns run this store! And since they know this they have actually set up kiosk to assist with drop offs. During busier times they have up to 4 other associates helping along with the 2 kiosks which helps to move the line right along. It's in a large shopping area that has a few buildings and all share the parking lot . Parking is generally tight in the parking area nearest their building, as they hold 2 spaces for their trucks at all times I believe. Plus they are the closest to at least 3 eateries that also need parking. So if you can park a bit further away and walk in you'd probably be in and out faster than trying to squeeze in near their front door. read more

The jury is still out on this. I purchased an item on a website and the seller dropped off the package at this location early enough in the day that the store should have and could have given the package to the driver either that day or the next day. However, the package has apparently not yet been handed over to a driver even though the store has had two days of pickups in which to give this package to the driver. So, I have to wonder what's going on with this store that they're not capable of giving a package to the UPS driver even after having the package for two days. When I tried calling the store to inquire about the whereabouts of this package, all I got was an answering machine message giving instructions on how to track or ship items. The fact that no one at the store is actually answering their phones only makes it appear as though they are deliberately avoiding having to take customer phone calls. So, if they haven't handed off this package by the end of today (it will then be 3 days that they have not given the package to the driver), I will launch a full scale social media campaign to let people know this store is not doing their job, and additionally, I'll file a formal complaint against them with UPS (not that it'll do any good since UPS doesn't really seem to genuinely care about customer satisfaction). But so far, after two days of failed pickups, I'm not impressed with this store's service. If they do something to redeem themselves, perhaps I'll edit my review. This is my 3rd time having something I've ordered shipped to this location. The first two times it was a quick and easy pickup. But this time. They wanted to charge me a $5 holding fee. For something that was delivered a couple of hours earlier to them and they had yet to put it in their system. There's always a long wait at this store. That's to be understood. What's not okay are the rude and dismissive staff. Had a terrible experience with this lady - Gabi. Cherry picked a guest out of line over guests who were patiently waiting. She didn't think to ask if the next person needed assistance. It's sad but I'd have to say she might be racist as she wouldn't help me (woman of color) but helped the guest in front and behind me. When I confronted her on it she dismissed me and her co-workers dismissed my concerns when I asked for a manager or supervisor. Who in the world is running this place? I've been going to this UPS for over a year now. I own a small business and my packages have been arriving to my customers destroyed. I've told the girls there and they just say to file a claim. Which I do and nothing gets done. The way the packages are delivered destroyed have no justification. I even put "fragile" stickers on them and it seems like they fuck it up on purpose! Make up has arrives broken, missing items, packages opened. The only things that they have good is that it arrives on time. But this has to stop it is ruining my reputation. Unfortunately my review is not a positive feedback. The only reason the store received a one star is because another employee recognized the situation and fixed it. I went in for a notary, which is very minor with only one page. The instructions I received were not cleared and I signed the document while waiting in line in the store. The employee (William) told me he could not notarize the document because he did not witness the signature even though i signed it inside the store. I asked if i could sign on a piece of paper so he could compare the signatures. This request was denied and I obtained another document via email. I showed the email to William and he took my phone to forward the document to the store. A few minutes later, William asked me to take a screen shot of the document from the email. I am not sure what was the purpose of the screen shot. I told William he was deliberately just trying to delay and make the situation difficult. Curse words exchanged and subsequently another employee (Claudia) handled the notary. A complaint was documented via email and sent to management. I would be concerned about William's interactions with customers if I was a part of the management team read more

I've been to this store several times to drop off packages and have never had any issues. Whenever there is a line, it goes by quickly because the people behind the counter will open their station once they see a person waiting. The package receipt is printed on good quality paper (this is not mandatory but it's just nice). They are friendly, helpful, and quick. Parking is sometimes full but they're so quick that you never have to wait too long until someone leaves. read more

Staff is nice. It's a busy store. My experience each time I go there, is that everything is way overpriced! Shipping supplies are super expensive. Services are super expensive. I faxed 6 pages. I asked the guy how much? He took my papers and walked away. I had to call him back so I could give him the fax number. Then he walked away (rushed) again and was having a hard time using the fax. I waited several minutes. I thought he forgot about me or he couldn't figure out the machine. Then he finally comes back to the counter and tells me it's $7.. and some change. I was pretty shocked that it cost $7 to fax 6 pages. Now I know why he didn't give me the price when I asked. I understand they are their own store/owner, but the gouging of prices is insane. As soon as I received the package I knew it was broken, she did not pack it correctly. I follow up on my claim they send me to headquarters. I call headquarters they say I have to contact the store. Service is fast, friendly, and attentive here. I am frequently tasked by the wife to drop off her RTR packages here. It is always a quick process: I walk in, they scan said package, I leave. Badaboom, badabing, and I'm on my way. The parking can be tight at times especially since the smoke shop next door thinks they can designate the parking right out front as only theirs. Oh well, walking an additional 20 seconds is probably not a bad thing. They also have P.O. boxes inside along with other UPS store usuals. I went to UPS Store 2531 on Thursday to process a return to Cole Haan for a pair of shoes I needed to return. I contacted Cole Hann and paid $1.50 so that all I needed to do was drop the return off and the UPS store would package and ship them. I got to the store, show them the code that had been sent to me from Cole Haan, and then the shenanigans began. The woman that was helping me was confused and rude when I explained to her that I had already paid the company (Cole Haan) to cover the packaging and shipping. She said, no, you have to pay us; that doesn't matter. I showed her the email that clearly stated, "Here's a mobile return code you can use to drop off your return at The UPS Store - no printing or packing necessary." She said that didn't mean anything, and I still needed to pack the item. She asked to see my phone, snatched it out of my hand, and said, they are wrong; you need to pay us for packaging. Another young woman came over a petite brunette with glasses and repeated the same thing. I explained what I was doing again, and she was completely confused. (If anyone has processed an Amazon return where you show a code and drop off the items to be returned, it's the same thing). Then the manager comes over a taller gentleman with black hair. I explained it all over again, and he told me that it doesn't matter what I've paid Cole Haan, I still need to pay them and that all I had paid for was the shipping label. They still needed to charge me for taping up the box. I show him the same message, and he says it doesn't matter. This seems to be going nowhere, so I ask if they are refusing to ship the item so I can call the company and share the experience with them. The young man says they will ship it but are not responsible for any damages since I didn't package it. I say thank you and walk out and call Cole Haan. I explain what happened, and they are as shocked as I am by the interaction. I'm not sure where the disconnect was, but clearly, there was one. Every other experience I have had at this location has been amazing, but this one....... was a horrible experience and something needs to be corrected. If I could give negative stars I would. Then when I got to the counter I had my Amazon package with code ready and Joshua told me that I had to print that out and he didn't tell me how much he was going to charge me until it was already too late he charge me $3.45. He said the charge was for the service. He should've asked me if it was OK for me to pay $3.45 for one print out.
