The Huntley UPS Store is just okay. Every time I've stopped in, the service has been noticeably slow compared to other UPS locations I've used. The staff is friendly enough once you get to the counter, but the wait times feel unnecessarily long, even when the store isn't crowded. I've had much quicker and more efficient experiences at other UPS stores, so it's frustrating when something simple like dropping off a package takes much longer here. It works in a pinch since it's local, but if you're looking for fast service, you may want to try another location. read more

We had a package that was supposed to be delivered overnight and it was not this was over a month ago. We have asked repeatedly for a refund and keep getting Stonewald by the manager there. Okay I had an unreasonable request and I thought there was no way possible that there would be any way I could get what I wanted from a local auction. The shipping options from the auction house were inappropriate for this type of item. I tried everything and I found no way to get my auction win to me. But I remember having had a similar issue in California and the UPS Store managed to accommodate me. Well the management and staff of this particular UPS Store went above, Beyond, and whatever comes after that to help me out. I'm not going to go into all the issues that this particular shipment involved but just be aware they were Herculean. My auction win arrived on time and was packed amazingly, Beyond description! All the Parts arrived perfectly everything was protected cushioned double boxed and delivered directly to me for a fraction of the cost of what I was quoted by others. I mailed an oversized card the day before Thanksgiving with priority service to get to my friend prior to her surgery. The store was busy, but there was no wait time. After inadvertently providing the wrong address, the store manager--Mickey--too his time on the phone with me to get it corrected, called me back with an update and made sure my package got where it needed to be on time. Amazon returns! I've never encountered bad customer service here. Usually a younger group of employees who are quick and efficient at their job! Hours are great also- they are open Sunday! Parking lot can be a bit of a nightmare so beware of the bad drivers. This is right by 55+ community and an old folks home- beware lol read more

These team ups members are very quick and super efficient at their jobs, no matter the quantity of people weather it's 5 or 20 people (yes I've even 20 people in the store) they always get the job done, they are so quick wit amazons I'm in and out in less than 10 minutes depending on the amount of people in the store, the store manager Mickey who helped me with a shipment really went out of his way to make sure my package would be there safe and at a reasonable time, I will admit I've seen some people in the store get upset due to the wait or a lost package but none the less the team members there find out the best solution, I will continue to come here for any reason I can find that the ups store can do for me. Huge thanks to two amazing young guys that helped me on October 12th, really did a nice job with faxing and a print order, I done care what anyone says about this store, this team really does it all!! read more

I paid $138 for 2 day delivery of a 28 pound box (clothing my son left when he returned to college). My package was not delivered in 2 days. They told me 2 days isn't guaranteed. Then 4 days later the package shows up as delivered at my son's doors but it was never there--never found. My son has a camera on his house and there's no UPS delivery made on film. The guy at UPS told me it was probably stolen and there's nothing they can do. I didn't insure the package. But even if I did, I wouldn't get the over $1000 worth of clothing back. I use this store at least once a month with multiple returns in hand each time. If you return something using this store make sure the label is put on the box in front of you (better yet print and label and seal box yourself at home). I returned three formal gowns to Amazon using three separate QR codes. Clerk slapped labels on the packages quickly and I thought she mixed the labels up. I asked her to recheck and she said - "this is what I do - I know I am good." Well fast forward - there was a mixup with my returns that took a bit to sort out Other than the one snarky clerk - all my other experiences have been positive with helpful clerks. I visited to drop off a handful of Amazon returns from Christmas. The two girls working tonight 01/25/2024 were so helpful walking me through amazons policies to ensure i get my full return value back - with packaging most specifically- Both girls were patient with me as there were other customers in line behind me and it was the end of the night. They were sure to service the other customers, and when i was ready got me set up! In total it was a breeze to get my returns settled & i will definitely be back with any of my shipping needs in the future! read more

You shouldn't offer notary services if you can't have someone at the location during normal hours. How hard is it to get your employees to fill out some forms and get their notary cert? 3 times in the past week I've stopped at this store. Once I was told the notary is conducting an interview and would be available in 20 minutes. The next time there was a sign posted saying no notary available. Now this time, the girl in the store just casually said there want one working now. I know this isn't a huge portion of the business model, but time is valuable. I never write reviews like this but feel it necessary to call out the EXCEPTIONAL service by Nakeita and her teammates at The UPS Store on 47 in Huntley. I had a very large, valuable, framed football jersey that needed to be packaged up and shipped to Michigan. I certainly did not have the expertise to package it up to ensure it's safe keeping in transit. This is where Nakeita saved the day! For a competitive fee in comparison to other shipping stores, Nakeita and the team at UPS came up huge and helped me get this packaged up and sent out without issue. In fact, the guy receiving the jersey said "this could have been dropped from a plane and still been okay" and "it was packaged like it was worth a million dollars!!!" I went in to the UPS Store in Huntley to have some two-sided color copies made today. I had been in the store yesterday to make sure I had orientation correctly even though I was doubting myself. I'm not sure if the "kids" that worked there understood me but they told me it would be fine and that they can work it out. So I went in today only to find out that I have to re-orient my project's backside (less work to just do the back as the backs are all the same but fronts are different). OK, I was fine with that although disappointed that I didn't listen to myself, first of all. Secondly, I asked to have one color copy on the 80# stock printed so I could make sure my photos will come out okay. After waiting, the one young lady that worked there said the printer was out of cyan color and that they wouldn't have it in for 3-4 days. So the store will be out of commission to print color copies for that long? How does this happen that they don't have the back stock of what's needed for their customers?? I was sorely disappointed. They told me they have two "sister stores" but they're both further away than I'd like so I'll take the project to another UPS store nearby. Good thing I didn't need these right away! UPDATE: Next day after this attempt at the UPS Store in Huntley, I called and they said they got the toner and could print now. So I got in only to find out that their computer (I had my files on a thumb drive) couldn't communicate with the printer and they had to call in the IT person. So, I ended up at the UPS Store in Algonquin and, as fate would have it, that's where I should have gone in the first place. I got so much misinformation on everything from costs to quantity of prints I'd need, etc. from the Huntley store. Jake in the Algonquin store was exceptionally nice, knowledgeable, and knew exactly what I needed and what I was after. He made me a test sample of how the prints would look and he was spot on with everything. Lesson learned! Not all UPS Stores are equal. Not that age has anything to do with it but the young people working in Huntley don't know enough to handle some things because either they don't have the experience needed or they weren't trained well. read more

I was under the impression that the UPS and United States Post office were pretty equal and were in competition. I will never ever go back to the UPS store in Huntley when something should have been $2 for a stupid cord being sent back and they charged me $11. That is absolutely ridiculous. I sent out "a college goody box" to my son in UWSP. When the package arrived it was the wrong box. It was a child's birthday present and not his box? The problem I believe was the sticker was placed on the box and then set aside, it must have gotten mixed up with another persons box. Its been almost two weeks now and boxes were tracked down and now waiting for mine to be returned to UPS. The biggest issue was my son's medication is in the box....and I am still waiting for my box to be return to UPS. I know this was an honest mix up...but come on!!! I often go to this store to return stuff from amazon or send mail with tracking or for notary services. Few times I noticed that the certain service suddenly bumps up but next time I go it's the same old price, or for amazon return usually they don't charge for packaging but few times they did (with return instruction from amazon saying no packaging needed). I made a comment about it once when that happened again and they fixed it with an excuse that was some kind of confusion. Of course it's not much money and I am fine paying as long as this is a required and consistent fee. However, I feel like this random pricing has to be taken care of by their management. read more

I planned a day at the water park and of course that morning my printer would not work to print the tickets. I was meeting my daughter to have breakfast before we went so I was desperate to find somewhere to get the tickets printed. I stopped at the Walgreens and was told the UPS store across the road had a copier. I ran in quite drustrated and Shane was there to help me out. I explained what I needed printed and that I was unfamiliar with how to do so. He walked me through the steps and I was out of there within 10 minutes with my tickets in hand. And it was only a .40 cent sale for him. He was friendly and knowledgeable and saved the day for us . Highly recommend !! read more

Had to return an item to the company I purchased it from. It has not been delivered to that company. UPS Huntley printed the label and put it on the package in my presence. I have the receipt they gave me. When I go online and look at my tracking it number it states the label was printed but has gone no further. Now the UPS store in Huntley won't even try to track this package for me and says it has to be started by the company I am shipping it back to. If that company doesn't want to bother doing that, I won't get my refund from them. I have UPS several times in the past with no issue. The store in Huntley is a joke!! Do not use!! read more

I was so amazed by the high quality and super speedy customer service I receive at this store, I actually created a Yelp account to be able to give the five star rating, that this store deserves! I have used the services of this store for both print and mailing services many times, over the past two years. I am not the best at planning ahead, so I sometimes need my printed materials not only the same day, but in a matter of a few hours. Despite the tight deadline I usually require, the manager and his employees always have a "can do" upbeat attitude and have always had my printed project beautifully done without a glitch BEFORE my actual deadline! Even more amazing, is the fact that I am a small business owner, and my print jobs are usually small in both quantity and subsequent profit for the store, yet they treat me like a VIP each and every time. I've used the Huntley UPS Store multiple times a year since they've been in Huntley. I have usually gotten very good service; the employees are busy and at times there is a bit of a wait (probably never more than 5 minutes). They almost always give me options on how to ship. One reviewer gave a one star rating for no greetings -- I'm not sure if they extend a greeting beyond "Can I help you?", but I'm there to get my packages shipped, and they accomplish that task very nicely. The store is well organized, neat and clean and I get great service from them. read more

Teacher here! And I love love love using UPS to print larger quantities of colored pages when I don't want to use my ink. Plus their paper/printing quality is amazing! They are so kind and helpful. I have stuff sent and ordered online and can stop by quickly just for pick up. I love it!
