I've been a mailbox holder at this store for over 20 years and I would like the new owners of the Goldsboro UPS Store to be aware of some of their great employees.  I'd first like to recognize Julie for her exceptional customer service.  Instead of just treating me like any old customer, she treats me as a friend and makes me feel like I'm family.  Not only is she helpful, but for as long as she's been there, she also knows how to put a smile on my face.  I'd also like to recognize both Jacob and Allison for all of their help with my printing projects.  Computers and the internet are not in my wheelhouse and without their assistance, I would be up a creek without a paddle.  They both take the time and go the extra mile to help me out and I'd like for all three of them to know that their customer service is both noted and appreciated.  Thank you for all that you do! I'd like to preface my remarks by saying that if you can go to another location to handle your business, please do so! This past Saturday, I arrived at this particular UPS store at 2:56 local and when I attempted to enter the store, this older bald gentleman promptly opened the door and told me that they weren't taking any more customers. Needless to say I was not happy being that it wasn't quite closing time yet. Then again, what business closes at 3 on a Saturday anyway? So I asked him "what do you mean? It's not 3PM yet?" And he repeated that they weren't taking any more customers. My apologies for getting to the store "late" but I think he was a jerk to say the least. The reason I wasn't in place prior to the "2:55PM" closing time was because I was at Seymour Johnson AFB clothing sales getting last minute supplies for my Air Force service dress uniform that I intended to wear at my twin brother's funeral that took place this past Monday. I'm retired Air Force as well and was completely appalled at this guy's total lack of professionalism. We came all the way from Sacramento, California for my brother's funeral and spent the rest of the weekend torqued about this guy's poor attitude. I wanted to take a moment to say how amazing your employee, Julie, is! I frequent this store, and Julie is such an awesome asset to your team. She provides customer service that goes above and beyond, and always with a great attitude! Several times now I've had to ship something fragile, and Julie takes extra time to ensure it is packed to perfection so that it arrives safely. I now request her help when I go to your store, if she is available, because I know I won't have to worry about my package if Julie ships it. I drove in to Goldsboro on Saturday 1/2/2021 at 1:30 pm after checking the website to see hours of operation. The site said open, when I got there it was closed. Very disappointed and a waste of time and fuel, I wasn't the only one several cars pulled up and found the same problem. Nothing posted on the door, just left everyone hanging. I'd give zero stars but I can't. This store or one of the drivers I'm not sure but they lost our documents that we paid $70 to overnight. I can't get a refund until it's delivered but how does it get delivered if it's completely lost...and at that point I don't want it delivered. I just want it back. I don't even trust them to send it back to the store I'd rather drive wherever to pick it up. read more

I've now been waiting for other a month for a very simple printing order. When I went into the store last month, was told that management changes meant they were locked out of the printing system without the password. Not blaming the new folks, they were super nice, but come on UPS. To think a massive shipping company isn't using SSO for their applications is insane. I have no way to request a refund and I'm just sitting here waiting for nothing to happen. And the old management shouldn't keep dragging their heels on turning things over. read more

I needed some sensitive documents sent overnight at a guaranteed time. The UPS employee then proceeded to charge me roughly $70 for this. Absolutely understandable. I am flooded with phone calls from the location that was supposed to have received my documents that they did not receive said documents at 0830. I contact the Ups store to find out that they lost said documents about 6 hours post when they were supposed be received. When attempting to speak to customer service, the only thing that was available was an automated machine that does not allow for customers to speak with representatives. When, rightly so, asking for a refund, they reply that IF they are willing to do a refund, it will take about 10 business days. UPS is a horrible corporation to ship out from and I suggest going directly to another business. They will not help you, they will not speak with you, and they will absolutely ruin your arrangements no matter what they are charging you. Also, they will lose your sensitive information in the blink of an eye without any regards for it! read more

In November, my son dropped off at this UPS store a pre-packaged, pre-labeled guitar that he had sold on eBay. After about two weeks, the buyer of the guitar, notified my son that he had not received the guitar. Tracking kept showing the guitar was "on the way -delay". We went to the UPS store at this point. The associate abruptly told us since they did not create the mailing label they could not help us. We then went to the UPS Customer Center on Industry Court where the package would have been taken after being picked up at the UPS store. They checked and there was no record of the package being in their warehouse. Into January, same tracking status. My son refunded the buyer. Went back to the UPS store several times. Asked to speak to owner/manager each time at the UPS store but were told each time that they were not there. Went back to the UPS Customer Service center and the very helpful associate said that there was no record that it was ever on a UPS truck. So this indicated that the package, which would have been about 2 ft by 5 ft in size, was still at the UPS store. Went back to the UPS store and they said the package was not there. Asked to speak to the manager/owner - again not available! I left copies of all the paperwork we had showing tracking, value of guitar, etc. along with my phone number and asked that the owner/manager call me. Have yet to get a phone call. The only obvious conclusion is that someone who works at this store stole this package . There is no way a package this large could be lost. The storage room for this store is not very large to begin with. My son did not purchase the extra insurance and if the package had actually left the store, then we would accept that he was out the money he lost. But since the package apparently never left the store and the store has made no effort what so ever in trying to help or to take any responsibility for a package lost on their watch, we filed a police report. We did not expect this to lead to anything but did it as a matter of record. In looking at reviews, we noticed that another person had the exact same experience with a package they delivered to this store about 5 months ago. The Goldsboro UPS store is not the only UPS shipping location in Goldsboro. You can get the same UPS services at Staples without waiting in long lines and with friendly customer service and I feel certain they would willing to try in every way to help with a situation like this. read more
