My letter to this store manager "Exxx" and and to UPS in general after failing to provide a guaranteed service: "That is an excuse, Exxxx. Whether you are making the excuse personally or just passing along the company rep's reply to you as an answer, it is still just an excuse made to a customer who spent almost $100 on a service that the organization you represent failed to provide. And you not only failed to provide that service, you failed to live up to the spirit of your guarantee. You have no idea how important it was for me to get that letter to the recipient's desk first thing in the morning on Monday. If I could have just gotten into their mail room by Monday, I still would have had a chance. But now, all those possibilities are gone. Consider the fact that i spent $100 to mail a letter! Don't you think that must have been important? And all you guys had to say was, "maybe, it'll get there on time." I could have considered my options. That's what FEDEX did. They told me up front they couldn't get there by Monday, and they even suggested you guys. They gave me directions and everything AFTER I called your store and asked if you could deliver it on time; your system said you would come through. You could have just said, there's a chance. But to promise?? And then turn around and tell me that I am too late to ask for a refund??? Too late by how much - a day??? You mean like how late you guys were with my letter???!!! Exxxx, you, your store, and UPS itself have not only lost a customer. You have managed to make me an advocate against ever considering your services for anything at all, UPS related or otherwise. And I will actively encourage anyone or any group I come across who even thinks about using UPS and/or your store to do otherwise. I would not recommend shipping any glass (or anything) using UPS. My brother sent me a large piece that I made in 1980. He sent it from their store on Thursday, September 11th. First I was emailed on 9/13 that it would be delivered on Saturday 09/13/2025 between 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM. We changed our schedule to be here and waited all day. Nothing and no word from UPS. Then on Sunday, we get an email - Rescheduled Delivery Monday 09/15/2025, 2:45 PM - 2:45 PM. Again, nothing. I see on the tracking site that damage has been reported at the Buford, GA location. That is close to us. The Virtual Assistant on the tracking site is useless as is Tracking Support. They just go in circles back to the initial tracking chart. My brother, the shipper, actually talked to a human and she told him it was probably destroyed as when damaged it would be dangerous. We have not been able to learn anything else. Was there an accident with the truck? Was it dropped? Did a meteor strike it? Was it stolen or maliciously smashed? Why can't I get what is left of it? The whole situation is heartbreaking and UPS is more cold and callous than a machine. My brother sent this magnificent and beloved stained glass piece and it just disappeared into the maw of UPS indifference never to be seen again or even explained. This UPS store is a little small but business seems to move pretty fast when there is a line. I've never felt that I've waited long for any service which surprised me. When I come, it's almost always for an Amazon return. The majority of the time, that is a less than a minute service unless the QR code isn't scanning. They are very helpful and friendly. Sometimes, I don't have the proper paperwork because I'm used to the "just drop-off without a label" routine but they navigate me to find the proper papers to print and I could either print it there and pay (I don't ever do this) or come back. I choose to come back because it just doesn't seem to be worth the hassle (I pass near it almost daily) for the price compared to doing it for free at home or work. One cool thing that I found out which turned out to be a very decent price was their notary price. It was cheaper than the other places I looked up but happened to find out this store did. I don't ship items out of here often but I always enjoy tracking shipments for peace of mind. read more

Horrible experience with UPS starting here in Fredericksburg Va, we paid $130.00 on Monday 27 October to ship a dress and jewelry to my daughter in San Diego California for the upcoming Marine Corp Ball at Camp Pendleton. It was supposed to arrive on Friday 31 October, it is 6 November and it has not arrived nor can they find the shipment. The last know location is Richmond Va on the 28th of October. UPS has done little to nothing to assist us, we filed a claim but have gotten nothing back from their customer service nor the adjuster assigned to the case. I would never use ups again for anything important, one of their employees probably stole the shipment because it was valuable and insured. read more

Really smart and efficient employees who know all of the transaction processes and can do them quickly. Also, as a box renter for five years, they have done me the favor of putting small packages in the pick up box so that I could collect the item after hours, many times. There are usually four employees at the desk and they really keep the line moving during greatest demand. They are excellent at processing Amazon returns. If you need a "post box" rental, I highly recommend this place. You'll have a key that gets you into the lobby after hours. Also, they accept packages shipped by FedX, UPS, USPS, and more. And they hold your packages safely until you can get there. Again, I truly respect the quality of the employees there. They are courteous and they don't waste time. You are recognized immediately if you're a box renter picking up a package. They have been a lifeline for me. read more

Services offered are great. Employees are friendly. I would recommend, however, the employee not be on their cell phone, doing things like TikTok, while customers are being waited upon at the counter. Also, when a customer is required to bring a particular item to be returned to, say Verizon, or one of the other cable companies, in the box that the company said to bring it to the UPS store, and, it would be wise to not give the customer a hard time about your store not being "able to" recycle the box. The customer is required to bring the item in the box to be returned to a UPS store. I don't believe that the customer should have to take the box back. That should be a UPS store problem. Maybe send the box back to Verizon, who sent it to the customer. read more

And now, because I don't run into town every time I have a package delivered, they are threatening to charge me excess fees. They can't even give me my own mail/packages. If I do anything it will be to end my relationship. I'm not paying another dime for pathetic customer service. There were 9 people standing in line OUTSIDE the building the last time I attempted to pick up my mail. My time is worth more than waiting in their line. And all of this in the middle of COVID, no less. They would rather demand that I pickk up my mail TODAY (even though they close in less than one hour and i live 30 minutes away...without traffic) and I get out in public and come into their store to get my mail than to find out if there us a reason that I haven'tpicked up my mail. And, by the way, 90% of the time when I go to pick up my mail (once per week) my mailbox is EMPTY! UPDATE: I went into town the next morning to get my "excess mail," which I had already planned to do. I got there at 8:58 am. The store was supposed to open at 9:00 am. The employees finally showed up at 9:12 am and then told us they needed 10 minutes to prepare to open. There were 9 of us waiting...one person had already given up and left...and it was 32 degrees outside. When I finally made it inside I opened my mailbox to find 4 envelopes and 2 pieces of paper. THAT was overflowing....no, THAT is a scam to get me to pay more for a bigger box. read more

They didn't look at the address on my package, used a prior address they had in their computer in our account. The recipient had moved so even with the updated address on my package, they shipped it to a previous address in another state! My antique radio survived intact for 92 years, and then these clowns got their hands on it. Used a box that was too small (less than 1" of clearance on 2 sides); arrows on the box directed people to position it on its side instead of its base. The radio chassis inside the cabinet was left empty, and this allowed the chassis to move around, breaking apart the cabinet. $125 got me a damaged radio , and these clowns take NO responsibility for it. Rude comments, attitude and all being made and the service with me was horrible!! They even called the owner of the store about my last name like I didn't provide government documentation. Then further to turn their backs at me and slam my items on the counter and snatch the paper from me because I was going I take my services somewhere else. I would recommend everybody to use this ups store. I had a fantastic experience at this store, specifically because of an employee named Nick. This young man went above and beyond in customer service. First, he helped me carry in a large box of items that i was shipping. I've never had anyone do that for me. I had to get the items to my child as soon as possible and i was very worried it wouldn't get there in time. Nick calmed me down by telling me how he can get it there the next day. Then, when i thought the news couldn't get better, he explained to me how he could pack the items and i would get the pack and ship guarantee. Every question i had, Nick had an answer for me. He was very knowledgeable and was very friendly to me. He always had a smile and gave me the ultimate customer experience. He told me he had only been working at the store for about 2 months and i was shocked. You would think he was the manager by how helpful he was. This young man has a fantastic future ahead of him. She was rude to me and one other person who came in. If you ask to print something they just tell you the price point at the computer and say print. I was sending a very small, light, package to a town in my same state, about 90 miles away. They wanted to charge me almost $20. The girl said the outrageous fee was because the policy was a minimum $10 and because, as she put it, "It's going to Virginia"! We live in Virginia!! We live in Fredericksburg; the package was going to the Charlottesville area--it's a little over an hour's drive; and about 70 miles away!!! How does a UPS employee that works helping mail packages NOT know what state she lives and works in? She also lied to me about mailing the same package through USPS. She told me it would be a minimum of $6 with NO tracking. At this point I couldn't trust her, so I left and went to the post office, about 1/2 mile away. The UPS store on plantation drive is horrible. It is under new management with two young guys possible owners or children of the owners but just poor service and mistakes they don't own up to. I had a death in my family so I flew out immediately with plans to return home and then return for the funeral. The funeral arrangements were made so fast that I decided to stay and have my funeral attire overnighted via UPS I paid the $238.28 to have it delivered the next day on Saturday and the funeral was Monday also a holiday. Saturday comes nothing, then Sunday nothing so I called and no answer mainly because the long holiday weekend. My tracking number showed that it hadn't even shipped. Monday morning I call and get an answer and they stated that it was scheduled for Monday by noon. I told them I paid for over night and they said that it wasn't put into the system for overnight By the UPpS store in Fredericksburg Virginia. I kick up a ruckus so they said they would call me back. I called the local UPS store in Illinois and they said they would bring it out by 10:00. I informed them that I need it by 9:00 since the funeral car was picking me up at 9:30. They delivered it by 9:15. I get back to Virginia and explain to them what happened so they said they would issue a refund check in the mail. I received my check today in the amount of $153.19. I called to inquire why I didn't receive the full amount and was told by the young man that I could call UPS and ask them. I reminded him that they were the ones who made the mistake. After him crunching numbers he told me if I hadn't declared a high amount for the items I would have gotten more money back. What?!! You didn't deliver a service that you agreed upon. They have lost my business. I've been going there for years but I get punished for your mistake? you never even apologized for getting it wrong. I'm contacting the BBB. It probably won't do anything either but buyer be warned. Unless your buying stamps don't go there. Incompetent to say the least. read more

Tim and Madison were not only professional and friendly, they both provided excellent customer service in assisting me returning a rug. I was extremely with their service and the willingness to go above and beyond in helping with my return. Since my rug was pretty large, Tim did not hesitate one bit in helping me with getting the rug out of my car. He was even careful in ensuring the rug didn't scratch my car. It isn't every day that I walk into a tiny store and get entirely ignored by the employees for 15 minutes, but I guess that if you enter this UPS, you can check "ignored by store employees" off your bucket list. I walked in to deposit a USAA check. The front desk/cashier nook was empty. Actually, the entire store was empty, except for several employees. An older guy who looked like he was in charge yapped and paced around the store on the phone the entire time, ignoring me. There were several other employees that looked like they were trying to keep themselves busy strode around behind me. I turned and smiled at them, said hello, etc. etc. and smiled and patiently waited... and waited... and waited... finally one of the employees stopped whatever very grueling task she had at hand to silently deposit my check, and I walked out as quickly as possible. There was no greeting when I walked in and I was completely ignored for a LONG amount of time for a very simple task when there were NO other customers. Bad employees. Bad service. Thankfully, I found out that the UPS near England Run does the same service. read more

I use them instead of the local post office. The staff is very experienced and they provide a far better service the union employees at the Post Office. Going to the US Post office is similar to going to the DMV, the employees threat you like a nuisance and they do not value your time. I rent a mail box at the UPS store also. I receive an email alert when a package arrives, which is great. The store will also sign for the package and I can pick it up 24/7, unlike the post office. Also, I have used them several times for there ability to help package items, which the US Post office does not help you with. The only negative issue, is - they get busy and backed up, at rush periods (like many businesses) lunch and after 1630, so you can expect to wait a little longer. read more

this is the worest store ever! im not sure if its just the store or UPS all together! I shipped a package on Nov 9 2019, I was told no need for more then $100 insurance because no matter what it would get there even though it was a $200 item. Long store short they lost my item in 2 days and ever since Nov 9 2019 I have been fighting to get my package or my refund and have not got either an its Dec 29 2019. the first time after 10 days they said they found it but droped my claim because the store didnt answear the phone when they called to verify what it looked like, so I re open it and 15days later they closed it again for not enought detail of package. So reopen it again gave photos and description of what it looked like inside the box and what the box looked like even tho it was a white shipping tube from UPS store. I told them my address and what adress oit was getting shiped to. I gave them everything they needed. Then they drop it again with out a call from store or even a email. They didnt even show a claims update at all. ALL his after pay Almost $30 between shipping ang the materials from there store to ship my item. It went from point A -fredericksburg to point B-Richmond, from there i was suposse to be flown by plain to CA. and was lost from point A to point B in two days even tho it was supose to go alway to Redwood Valley ca. I have been fighting UPS since Nov 9 2019 and my claim has been dropped 4 times now and always wanting more info but will never call or ask you for it thru email or even thru store u sent it thru. its like they dont car they got there money already from you but your not getting your item back or your shipping fees even if you did have insurance on it. Just had an EXTREMELY upsetting experience at this store. I have already issued a complaint with UPS Corporate Relations regarding this matter. THEY were very helpful. To be brief, I was trying to send a package to a country in Europe via DHL because they are more experienced with delivery in Europe. As DHL does not have an office in Fredericksburg, the option was to send with DHL from the UPS store. The owner of the store (who refused to give me his name) insisted that my package could not be delivered the way in which it was addressed and suggested I send it U.S. mail (which, then, could not be tracked). He also insisted that DHL also could not deliver the package the way it was currently addressed, as "all express delivery companies work the same in Europe." I then called DHL who told me that, indeed, they could send the package it as it was addressed. I went back into the store to ask for the gentleman's name who was so rude (he had literally YELLED at me in the store) and the owner's name. The particular gentleman in question told me he was the owner and yelled, "send your package with DHL, then." I WILL NEVER UTILIZE THIS PARTICULAR STORE AGAIN - OBVIOUSLY! read more
