FedEx drop point in Office Depot on Carl D Silver: Just a FedEx drop-off point, but they do NOT accept electronics boxed up; even with the box already labeled to ship out. The attendant for the "FedEx" area was helpful, but he was quite terse, telling me they don't ship for FedEx. So I lifted up their small FedEx sign to show that they do in fact ship for FedEx. He remained terse, asking with a chip on his shoulder, "what's in the box?". At which point I then replied, " an electronic". So he then told me to "read the sign", without even looking at me. I said "excuse me?" because he initially mumbled it at first. But the second time, he made sure he was loud enough to understand. The FedEx sign states that this location does not accept electronics, such as phones and batteries. Overall, for FedEx drops, I recommend avoiding this location because it is not worth the hassle. The employee could have been more professional, pleasant, and polite, and the FedEx "rules" for this location, make it an inconvenient, less than ideal drop off location. read more

Since I moved to Fredericksburg last summer, I have been in this store twice. Both times were a bad experience. Store looks 100 years old, computers/cash registers are 1990's slow computers. Today the person in the printing area was just plain rude. I'm not going to go into all the details, but the other customer and I were at a loss for words with his actions. I spoke with the store manager and the expressionless conversation with him didn't add any faith in the store. The store manager ended up helping me out with what I needed done. After everything was done, the manager walked off to another area. He was standing right next to the rude employee, there were other customers, he didn't check in with him to see if he needed anything. I assume the whole rudeness to customers is going to be ignored. I don't expect him to correct him in front of customers, that would be wrong. But by walking off and not even checking in with him and seeing if he needs help tells me that the manager is not invested in the store and pretty much re-enforced bad behavior is acceptable. read more

What happened to Office Depot? They used to be a regular part of my office supply run, but not after the last few visits to the store. I appreciate a business and dont leave poor reviews, but the supply on the basics, price and a completely unprofessional staff has done it for me. I hope they focus on better hiring, restock the store and keep it clean in the future. read more

The staff is rude and there's never anyone to help with printing! This area is never staffed! They staff stand around talking to each other and you have to interrupt and say "excuse me can you help me!" read more

Sarah and Ben were both very exceptional! I called for assistance with finding my items and Sarah agreed to search the system and then hold them for me. Upon arrival both Ben and Sarah were very welcoming and maintained an electrifying energy that is so rare to encounter these days! Sarah and Ben are two employees obviously ennobled by their values with a natural passion aimed towards helping people! They are both very solution oriented and principled people, who take responsibility for their customers needs and deserve a raise! They made for a perfect experience and saved the day! read more

One guy! Waited 15 minutes asked the young lady working the register about sending a Fax. She tells me only one guy in the entire store can send a Fax! Wait 5 more minutes for the 'fax guy' to tell me you can fax over there.... ugh! read more

Poor customer service in the phone. I called to determine if there was an item in stock. The person clearly didn't know what I was talking about and there for said they didn't have the item. But didn't make any attempts to look and see if someone else knew or could answer the question. I guess I can't blame them...customer service everywhere seems to be unimportant to many workers. read more

Normally I only review restaurants and eateries, but the complete lack of customer service is forcing me to review an office supply store. I went in to pickup a couple of things and when I went to check out two cashiers were deep in conversation and didn't even acknowledge my existence. I eventually went to the postal section of the store and the kind lady helped me. First she said the cashiers would help, but I told here that they were in a conversation and refused to help. On the way out of the store I made it a point to sarcastically thank the two Chatty Cathy cashiers for their help. Where did the concept of customer service go? read more

The sales people were very helpful...almost to the point of being annoying. Maybe because there weren't many people in the store but I was asked if I needed help five times between the entrance and the back of the store. They had a lot of the supplies I needed but I would say they had a small selection of highlighters to choose from. I found the same problem with pens though they had a large selection of really expensive pens. I was happy to find a good selection of calendars that begin in July. I tens to buy July to Aug calendars to cover the school year. read more

Terrible. Don't go unless you have cash. Cards declined for several people from different banks. Simply stated their systems stink. Just guess if there own POS is this bad what does that say for the rest of their operations. Avoid. Go to staples nearby instead. read more

Do not rely on them to get your prints/poster boards made! I went in at 11:30 am this morning and the associate assured me my 4 poster board renderings would be completed by 6 pm that evening. I called at 6 pm to see if they were completed, and they informed me their printing machine was broken and failed to let me know for the past 6 hours. They barely apologized and didn't seem to care how important these poster boards were. I was having these made for my company for an important presentation, and they have certainly lost our business! read more

These folks were employed to print my daughter's wedding programs. I am appalled that they even charged us for such a poorly executed effort. The pages were not cut to the same size or even made to a common shape. Some were trapezoidal, some had curved sides, pages were out of order--or at least not consistant and none were the same dimensions. They had different size borders etc. It took 8 adults over 2 hours each to assemble them into what could at best be described as amateurish program, but given the c $@£ they were given to work with, it was a yeoman's effort. I have never experienced such poor workmanship from an alleged professional printing service. Anyone who is foolish enough to use them after thia warning deserves what they get--beware! read more
