Easy process for Amazon returns and UPS package shipping!…read moreThe desk is to the right as you enter. The couple of times I was here, there wasn't a line. The interaction was purely transactional. They only needed to scan the bar codes on the pre-paid packages I was sending. The person at the counter was polite, said very few years and smiled for the "greeting" but not much else to the interaction. Parking is easy which is a plus. I can't rate the service or knowledge of the staff, but overhearing other conversations with customers...I would say, this is a good drop point for packages.

I forgot how conveniently located the Falmouth location is, so I stopped by here midday weekday and it was BUSY. It didn't really seem like people were shopping, but the two lines for printing and returns was long-ish. It seems like this business is clean and organized; there were clear signs as to where to go for the Amazon returns; and, while it's a little chaotic, there's a parking lot available. I would be fine coming here again for future Amazon returns! NOTE: Okay, so I actually have ended up coming here quite a few more times than when I first drafted this review... to make multiple returns for Old Navy [apparently Staples is now THE "Happy Returns" place?] and to have some printing work done. Which was perfect; they had me go through everything while they patiently waited to make sure it all looked correct. This will be my GO TO for all returning and printing jobs moving forward!

It could be a piece of art, a limited edition comic book, a quilt or a special piece of clothing from a passed loved one, a bunch of pressed flowers...whatever. Whatever that something is, you're going to want it framed a little better than what you can buy off the shelf at Target or Michael's. Maybe a lot better. Whatever. There's only one place to take it. Period. Grapheteria is a small shop with a small team. And they are hands-down the best framers you're going to find. Not in Portland. Not in Southern Maine. Not in New England. The best framers, period. Now, full disclosure, the folks at Grapheteria used to be a client of mine (lots of years ago). And they're definitely friends. And for all that, I write with full confidence that their work is worth every single penny, half penny, sickle, copper, coin, and/or cent you invest in a job with them. Because that's what it is - an investment. Every piece of custom-framed art we have in our home has been handled by the folks at Grapheteria and our home is better for it. Their process is conversational and intuitive while bearing in mind cost sensitivities and design preferences. They will guide young artists to lower cost options to make their work POP for a first show and still stay affordable and can help serious collectors with archival and museum-quality glass to preserve high-end artwork. I cannot recommend Lisa and Jim and their team highly enough. And the fact that Nat Geo photographers, nationally renowned painters and emerging artists all trust work to them should say volumes.

Well, they could not have been more helpful, instructive and courteous! They said my piece would be ready in 2 weeks, and they were exactly right. When I saw it, I realized that they are very thorough and experts at what they do as the piece came out beautifully. My thanks to everyone for their help in getting my piece framed. It now hangs proudly in my dining room!

First time experiences always determine a second visit do they?…read moreSuperb service and a quality product is what I received from Xpress Copy. From my initial phone call inquiry, through the customer service assistance, online estimate, and product delivery, Xpress Copy was the finest experience I've ever had in forty years of conducting administrative support purchasing. And after being in the Army, I know paperwork! Here are the highlights in order of importance: 1) Kelsey Berry. Outstanding Customer Service. She handled my entire process. You know how it is when a business answers your call and you immediately recognize you'll be well taken care of? That's Kelsey. Sharp, intelligent, and motivated, it's always reassuring when you know the first person you're speaking with is going to make it right, and take care of you. So many businesses ignore or fail at this basic fact. The owner obviously knows this and has carefully selected & trained this exceptional young professional in Kelsey. 2) Finished Product. My order was an unusually large file, requiring single side copy and binding. The options available to choose were great, and again, Kelsey helped me make an informed choice for the best results. 3) Speed. My order was complete and ready for pick up days before I had specified. This allowed me to not waste time and expanded my response turn around to the agency I was sending it to. Amazing! 4) Price. No other business came near the quote I received from Xpress Copy Service. Not even close. I realize some consumers base everything on cost, but I base it on customer service. That said, cost here was a winner. 5) Local Business. I love to support worthy local business when I can, not just because they are local. Local and EARNED gets my patronage and positive reviews. It's worthy to note that Xpress Copy Service is easily accessed in a congestion free area in Libbytown, Portland. No hassle drive up. 6) Last but not least, and I'm putting it here to make a point about Xpress Copy Service. Leadership. Supporting everything in my experience was the Leadership behind the organization. That is owner, Mr. Todd Kent. I know because I was late to pick up and it was after closing time. A man was there at the outdoor pick-up in front of the business in accordance with Wuhan Virus state law. He personally went back in and brought out my order. Xpress Copy Service could have done what most businesses would & have done: Taken the easy road, "Sorry, we're closed at three, come back tomorrow." The man who took care and stayed late was Mr. Kent. I didn't know it until I went to write this review and had to check their website first. In Army Special Forces, every leader is "First In, Last Out" and sets the personal example. Todd Kent is that kind of leader and business owner. I'm glad to have been able to business with his organization, and will be happy to do it again. THANKS XPRESS COPY SERVICE

The nice employee packed up the box, gave me the shipping info and the receipt for $15.29. Then on 8/8 (long after I had left Maine), another invoice for $69.29 was generated, supposedly for the actual shipping. I was told nothing about this on 7/24, and the amount seems ridiculous given that I asked for it to be shipped via fedex ground. Calling the store today was a total waste of time; the staff just tells you they have nothing to do with billing, and transfer you to the living hell that is Fedex "customer service". Good luck with that - total nightmare, just more transfers and no substantive answers.

I get that sucks having to do deliveries when you have to park far away and I understand that sucks but guess what Portland just has bad parking and instead of putting everyone else's safety at risk so that you don't have to inconvenience yourself it's a pretty messed up move.
