UPS is better than USPS which is better than FedEx The staff are great. Usually there is only one person out front, but they are pretty nice. The staff is polite and helpful. I look up the optimal time to visit but there's pretty much always a line. The people here just seem much happier than the USPS. I try not to go into FedEx because they are just bad about delivering on time. I wish there was more delivery competition. Would I come here again? Sure. FedEx is across the street, but this place is closer to me. read more

Today I went to this store to return a item from Xfinity because they have a contract to accept their products for return. The customer service here is usually good but today it was not what I expected. I have a medical condition so I have medical equipment that I carry in either a waist fanny pack or a shoulder bag. When I walked in there were 2 customer service representatives and approximately 6 or 7 customers in the lobby and there was a line at each counter. Shortly after I walked in it appears as if 3 or 4 additional clerks came into the lobby as if they were organizing. I was confused because in my opinion they would have been more useful at the counter which they eventually returned to. In my opinion there was more emphasis on whether I was going to take something without paying for it than there was with respect to customer service. Additionally this older caucasian lady seems to share their concern as she moved to the opposite side of her counter and began whispering to the customer service representative as she was watching my medical equipment. Maybe I am being overly dramatic but I felt stereotyped and disrespected. I believe this is an isolated incident because I have been to this location several times before and everything went relatively well..... read more

The few times I have used its services at the Emory Commons location, including today, to get a government document notarized, the folks who have provided service have been extremely helpful and friendly. The hours are better than the Decatur Post Office: The UPS Store is open 8:30 am to 7 pm, Monday through Friday, and 9 am to 5 pm on Saturday. They are closed on Sunday. My printer broke and I need to make a few copies so I used the online service to place the order. That part was quick and simple. I placed my order on the 11th, the due date was the 12th. My status remained on user approved, so I assumed they didn't print it yet. Luckily the documents were not urgent. I went to the office on the 15th and the documents were still not ready. He looked through the cabinets and finally had to go into the back to print up the order. I think it's time for a new printer. read more

Staffing is usually polite and helpful but the low mark comes from persistently long lines in this severely understaffed location. No matter what day or what time, the lines are long and slow moving and no one ever comes from the back to relieve the line. Frequently only 1 person is out front. read more

I needed to schedule a last minute freight shipment overseas because I was moving and my original movers couldn't pick up my stuff on time. The store manager went above and beyond to make sure I would be able to ship my items. Not only that, they also packaged my items in such a way that they arrived perfectly. We had fragile items and they all arrived without a single scratch. I'm thoroughly impressed by the professionalism and amazing work done. My items also arrived a full week earlier than expected. I wasn't aware this location closed at 7 and I casually strolled in, wanting to get some laminating done. This was at 6:58. Upon realizing the business hours, I felt sooooo bad and almost considered leaving. As someone who works in the service industry, I'm all too familiar with looking forward to closing time after a long day's work and the terrible feeling of having that one last customer coming in at closing time. But Goran was more than accommodating and he was happy to help me, without rushing or with a negative attitude. This UPS store located in Emory Commons is great. They have super friendly service, though it may not be the fastest. But honestly, I don't mind waiting a few minutes for personal attention when I need a package shipped. Note: they have 2 entrances, you can even start the packaging process if it's a small item (such as if you need a padded envelope or something..). A-OK was born for The UPS Store. I pop in every few months or so to send off a free return, and I always have to wait. Thankfully never levels of DMV waiting, but I just want to get the heck outta there. And I wish they were open Sundays. Wont be coming back to this location. I came in on weekday morning around 9am. I had a pre-paid for return to drop off and there was no drop off station to be found. In the past, at every single other UPS location I have been to (in Los Angeles, CA; Fresno, CA; Austin, TX; Chicago, IL) there has always been an area to drop off packages with pre-paid labels. Not at this location. So, I got in line behind 2 other people. The person directly in front of me also had a package with a pre-paid label and seemed annoyed to be in line. The guy behind the counter never even looked up from whatever he was tending to with the customer at the counter. Not to acknowledge my entrance in the store or to tell the 2 of us in line that it would be a moment. Then the phone rang and he spent several minutes arguing with someone on the phone about a package that had been dropped off the day before. Again, he never even looked up at the customers waiting in line. I have never spent that long in a UPS store, ever. Especially with a package that all I needed to do was hand over! When he finally got off the phone I finally said "excuse me, is there somewhere we can drop off packages that have pre-paid labels?" and he seemed annoyed and said something along the lines of "it will be just a minute..." and then he finally said "you can bring it over there". I was finally able to drop the package off and leave; now running late to my appointment. I definitely wouldnt stop at this location if there are others you can go to. The customer service isnt up to par for a location that Im sure gets busy from time to time. I am also extremely surprised they dont have a drop off area on their counter for pre-paid packages/returns. read more

Really slllllllooooow, I waited over 40 minutes with 2 people at the counter and no one in front of me. I had to go outside for a few seconds to throw something away that couldn't be shipped and when I walked back to the counter was told to go to the back of the line so I waited over an hour to ship 1 item. If you drop off already labeled UPS packages you will be INTERROGATED (!) as to the *EXACT* CONTENT of said packages (like you are doing something wrong). Customer service was both slow and obnoxious. She typed with one finger then acted disgusted that I wa ted different prices for overnight, next day or 2nd day. What a satisfying experience! We had a package delivered two days ago - it contained a lithium battery that had OBVIOUSLY been damaged - and was leaking. After going to several ups stores we finally found the right one with a manager who was more than willing to help us with our dilemma. He went above and beyond to help us send the unopened package back. - which was, by the way already a hasmat issue. It should have never been delivered in the first place!
