This UPS Store in Cherry Hill on Haddonfield Rd is a pleasure in every way. The owner, Jatin Patel, provided us with above and beyond customer service (and has the patience of a Saint). Due to poor planning on my part we were shipping Mom's birthday gift to the Palisades, CA with 2 days to go and were unable to afford the over $150 cost (note: via UPS or USPS) to get it there on time. I called several times for rates & clarification and Jatin helped us by explaining options between envelope or box packaging - with his assistance we were able to afford to get mom's gift to her ( not in two days but at least this week) . Also, this location is tidy and air conditioned (the closest USPS to me, Merchantville*is not!). Our visit to that USPS* store was a nightmare, after waiting over 20 minutes in 90 degree heat while the sole person behind the counter literally handled ONE, single transaction. When our turn finally came, we tried to communicate our plight- we sadly found that she was uninterested, unintelligible and of zero strategic help ( I don't know how well I'd do if I had to work solo in 90 degree heat either)... Note to self: 1) For future gifting by mail, get your package together with a little time to spare! 2) Simply go to the UPS Cherry Hill store and ask for Jatin! Absolutely atrocious! This place gives the entire UPS business a bad name. They happily advertise and accept appointments for notary services 7-days a week when the notary himself is apparently only in the building for a few hours M-F. Why do you even offer appointments on your website when you know the notary won't be at worK?!? Unbelievable- this is some third-world bullsh.. When I walked in staff was cursing, she did not know what we were asking for. She could not perform the tasks we were asking for because she wasn't trained to do them. Maybe it is not her fault entirely, however she should be trained to do what she needs to do it someone in store should be able to do them. read more

I gave it two stars only because it smells terrific in there and during the term I held a mailbox there I was happy with the store. However, it's important to know that upon closing your box THEY WILL NOT ALLOW YOU TO HAVE YOUR MAIL THAT WAS DELIVERED UP UNTIL THE DATE OF CLOSING. He literally stood there with my mail in his hands and said he could not allow me to go through the mail, and he disposed of it while I stood there. I'm going to contact UPS about this policy, be sure to get your mail a day before the box closes, otherwise they will withhold it from you even though you paid up until the date of closing. UPDATE: The owners response below speaks volumes as to their customer service. I had no problems with the key and no issues were noted in the review. However, I believe I should have had access to my mail that was delivered to the box prior to the rental expiration date. read more

Very poor customer service. The female working today, did not care to get up from her seat in the back to give me a hand with a question I had. Needed to get out a very critical shipment, and I needed to bill the account to my customers UPS account. While I later found out this location does not accept UPS accounts, she was nice to share I can go to another location, where they accept UPS accounts. I asked her for the address, and she while still sitting, gave me blank stare and proceeded to ask me "does your phone have google"? Very smartass-like. I am a business owner, and I would not tolerate this in my building. So yes, I went on google and found it. But extremely rude and not helpful at this location. read more

The attitude of the employee was not helpful on 7/11. I know those who aim to serve with a full heart as opposed to being lazy-spirited and fault-finding toward customers. My helpful advice is: train your employees on specifics and details on how to guide customers equally and kindly and to go over and above. A sweet benefit is that you won't have to charge for little things (like pieces of tape from what I've read of the reviews) because customers will flock to your shop and encourage others to do so, which will more than make up the difference. Customers are just trying to accomplish a task; the least you can do is train your employees to show customers what your pattern for a knowledgeable customer is, should they need to come in again. In addition, for employees to take out their "beefs" on color of skin, lack of knowledge, or appearance is to make business fail and not flourish. Have the latter as your goal - then you will see the importance of training and testing that training in real time, which will also guide employees in future jobs, remembering what UPS did for them. read more

It's a UPS store. And as far as they go, this one was fine, I was in and out in a matter of minutes, the lady at the counter was very sweet and helpful, and my package is on its way. All in all it was a pleasant enough experience. I'd much rather drive here than deal with the mayhem of Center City Philadelphia for my shipping needs. read more

I have been to this ups store at least 50 times to drop off packages and they are always always friendly and helpful. They will tape it for me if I need it and sometimes I leave my post office ones there too because I hate making an extra trip. When the clerk (Joe) originally entered the shipment form, the "ship from" address (mine) was the same as the "ship to" address (where the package was going). After repeating the "ship to" address many times, somehow it was still lost in translation, and the city on the package was incorrect (even though I had repeated, many times, "No, New York, NY"). I would urge you not to use this business if you can all avoid it, but if you still find yourself here, be prepared to repeat the address many times and triple check the form. While there, I emphasized how important it was that my package arrive the next day- in fact, I paid for the guaranteed shipment by 10:30am. The clerk still couldn't manage to focus on the task at hand to listen to the destination address. Indeed, he answered the phone multiple times and interrupted our service- I was the only customer there, and it took a long time to get the package out. My package is still somewhere in limbo, cannot be found, and the organization that needed its contents is now considering the goods "late." UPS not only won't take any responsibility, but they will not refund my shipment costs. I would recommend, instead, http://printcopyship.com/ . I could not believe that the UPS Store's spokeswoman had the audacity to admonish me for being upset after UPS mishandled and destroyed my $560 heater. Her statements demonstrate the store's disregard for customer service ... an apology would seem far more appropriate. If the package was truly sub-standard, why would UPS not only ship it once, but twice? The box and packaging materials were inspected by the store employee. I relied on his expertise to insure that the package was ready for shipment. Though properly packaged, the shipment was opened in transit, presumably after damage, and repacked by UPS. If this seems inconceivable, review the litany of UPS complaints on the following sites: UPS Consumer Complaints & Reviews (http://www.consumeraffairs.com/delivery/united_parcel_service.htm); UPS Complaints and Reviews (http://www.pissedconsumer.com/reviews-by-company/ups.html) UPS uses "packaging" to shift the focus from their mishandling to the customer. As revealed in the UPS Complaints and Reviews, UPS has a very poor track record paying claims, both customer packaged and UPS Store packaged. Went in to ship an envelope using the recipient's account which I repeatedly mentioned. Package was weighed, shipping slip printed and when I was asked for the payment, I offered again the account info to charge. Didn't mind finding out that they didn't 3rd party bill, what I did mind was how rude the employee that was not helping me told me. Another bad review for this lousy business. They sell US postage stamps and apply a $1.50 service charge to each book without mentioning the service charge. I tried to return the stamps and was told they can't be returned. There are several reviews that describe this business up charging and being dishonest in their dealings with customers. Stay away. CVS sells stamps at face value and there's always the post office. Enjoy my $1.50. read more

Even the owner's response is not truthful. I was charged $33.45 for USPS Express Mail which would have only be $14.10 at the post office. I went to the post office 2 days later with another Express Mail envelope (exactly like the one I mailed at this horrible store) and was charged $14.10 and assured that the price would have been the same even if I had come in on Friday for a Saturday delivery. The additional $19.35 charge by this store was not a "slight" service upcharge as stated by Diane C. but quite a hefty greedy service up-charge. It was actually MORE THAN DOUBLE the cost. I wish I could post a photo of my receipt to prove the blatant inaccuracy in Diane's statement. Any one who does business with this store is foolish because they are wasting their money!!! Find another location! Walked into an EMPTY store to mail a package. Asked for a piece of tape from dispenser on the counter to seal a small corner. The clerk said "that will be $2.50." I went in to the store to get my shoe boxed packaged. The total seemed a bit too much, so I said I would just purchase the box (he said it would cost the same to buy it and do it myself) so I gave him my card to do the transaction. When I left the store he I looked at my receipt and he charged me for cushioning materials which I had not asked for and another material. I was shipping a box of shoes going in another box, I did not need cushioning, I would have bought the box and packaged in myself for half the cost! (so it would have not been the same $ as he said) Very rude customer service and I definitely will won't be going back! read more

The greed of this owner and condescending attitude are deplorable. I had been a loyal customer for over 3 years but this owner constantly comes up with new ways to charge customers more money. Now he has started charging me additional "daily storage fees" if I do not pick up my delivered package in 5 days. The reason I even have my packages delivered here is because my job requires me to travel usually two weeks at a time. Never in my 3 years there has this been an issue before. I get only a handful of packages per month at most and most months none at all. There are plenty of other UPS stores in the area. I suggest you use any of the other ones rather than this one. This owner may have succeeded in charging me the storage fee for one package but he has lost all of my shipping, receiving and printing business forever. Classic case of not knowing how to treat a loyal customer and being penny wise but pound foolish. I'll find someone who knows how to treat their customer with respect and wants repeat business. read more

I used to come to this UPS Store to ship back returns and never had a problem until the owner insisted that I buy packaging to ship back my item although it was already in a box. His reasoning was that something could puncture the box when it was really just a way to make $2.99 on packing. He refused to ship the item (a pair of jeans) unless I bought the packing materials. Before this visit, he never charged me for packing or insisted that I buy items. The store gets a percentage from the vendor that give a complimentary UPS return label. So he already makes money from me just stepping in his door. I had in the past witnessed this person, who happens to be the owner be rude to other customers. Now I will simply ship my packages through a regular UPS drop and this desperate store owner has lost my business completely. Since the shopping center always has stores closing, I am sure his business won't last much longer, especially with his poor attitude and GREEDY business practices. read more
