After a couple of bad experiences here, today was the final straw. Whoever manages this place took a course in whatever the opposite of customer service is. Want surly treatment? Stop on in. Want to be berated loudly in front of other customers for the crime of not having any packing tape in your house? You've found the spot! I get that, being an "Amazon returns hotspot" this UPS Store is pretty much constantly busy. My presumption is, though, that they are most likely being PAID on a per package basis for providing this service. So, those of us coming in to return something to Amazon (or wherever) are technically paying customers. And should be treated as such. But no! My first two experiences here were during the ultra crazy holiday season. I was treated in a surly manner both times, even though I came prepared with my packages ready to go, Amazon-provided return QR code in hand, and waited very patiently in long lines until it was my turn. I chalked the bad service up to the busy season and overworked employees. In other words, hey, we all have a bad day. But today, in the middle of September, I had to stop by to return something to another company. It was a small cosmetics item, and I put it in its original box only to discover that I was out of packing tape. I even searched in a few places around my house to see if I happened to have any packing tape; nope. It was a pretty small box, though, so I figured they must have a little packing tape dispenser (or perhaps even a helpful self-serve packing tape area) at the store for customers like me who are generally responsible, upstanding, moral citizens who have only committed one crime in their lives: the crime of running out of packing tape! I knew I was probably in trouble when I first entered the store, and saw a basket of packing tape for sale at $3.99/tiny dispenser with a sign warning that you better have taped up your package at home, otherwise prepare to pay for a new roll right here and now. Having seen identical dispensers at Dollar Tree for $1.25, and my small cosmetics return box only requiring approximately an 8" strip of packing tape, I planned to ask nicely at the counter if they wouldn't mind just adding some packing tape from one of their own plainly visible, commercial-grade packing tape dispensers. Before I could even ask, the woman at the counter LOUDLY exclaimed, in a shocked tone, "You didn't have any packing tape at home?!" I meekly apologized, and asked if I could use some of hers. She warned me that "JUST THIS ONCE" she would apply packing tape (apparently an unreasonable request of someone who works in a packing/shipping store) but that next time I would not be so lucky. I quickly thanked her, tucked my tail between my legs, and shuffled out the door. I quickly checked my head and torso to make sure I wasn't accidentally sporting some sort of provocative politically-charged slogan on my person, or something else that might have set her off so quickly. Or, maybe I had forgotten to wear clothing at all? Is that why I was treated like a felon? One thing I do know: this UPS Store will NEVER have to worry about my showing up without packing tape again. Went in there on Saturday, March 30, 2024 add about 230 or 3 PM. There was a woman working that shift too had a nose ring, and a wedding ring. That's the best way I can describe her to the management team that needs to identify who this was. After a really long and awkward wait because she chose to wait on this lady that wasn't prepared before calling the next person in line to the counter, I handed over a manila envelope that was to be sent to Arizona, domestic. I told her I didn't need any tracking or anything like that. I just needed to send it regular mail USPS stamps after she weighed it for me. I told her I wanted to send it the cheapest way. She took out a ruler and started to measure my manila envelope. She's then quoted me $19-$20 and said US priority mail. I told her, nevermind, that's expensive. I left upset because I knew she had done something wrong, but I didn't want to argue the point with her because she was already confused and overwhelmed when a woman ahead of me wasn't prepared and turned around to get her stuff together on the nearby island, yet this clerk didn't even call the next person in line for what seemed like eons!!! She didn't even have the wherewithal to keep the line going for a full 5 minutes as me, and everyone else in line just waited for this one lady, who is not even at the counter anymore. So while visiting the store, it was already a long wait that I had endured unnecessarily. This clerk needs retrained because I was able to go to United States Postal Service today, and get that same manila envelope sent out for $1.87 (they calculated my postage, using those $.68 stamps). I asked this UPS clerk for standard cheap regular mail and somehow she ended up quoting me close to $20. So she apparently did something wrong and inconvenienced me where I didn't get to send my package out until two days later on April 1, just today. Because yesterday was Easter, and I couldn't send it then either. Nobody should have to get the runaround just because she doesn't know what she's doing. read more

Went in with four boxes to return to Amazon, but didn't have individual QR codes for each box. Anyways, some issue that needed several steps to complete that were new and unknown to me. Stepped to the side to try and resolve. I'm getting frustrated.. .Then Bee simply asked for my phone. Rapid fire tapping ensued and I was out the door in under 2 minutes. I had this UPS store pack, wrap & ship almost FORTY boxes to THREE different locations in the US. The store manager, Denon, & staff did an OUTSTANDING job. Employees lost my package! I just recently started an online business and decided to get a business mailbox at the UPS Store. And this also allows me to use the UPS store as my business address. Well, First time using it to have inventory sent here, I go to pick up my package after work to find out whoever signed for my package at the store. Put the wrong sticker on my package and now they can't find it. My tracking sticker they they put on to my matching mailbox number is on another package. This is so irresponsible, and also is hurting my business. They basically said they'll look at the camera to see what happen to my package. What a terrible experience, an older man helped me, not the usual customer service I have experienced before, he was an ass, would not listen to me, just kept repeating "put it on the scale". I was trying to ask a question! Then he told me I could not return some of my products with the Amazon code, that I had to have it already packaged and sealed. Which was incorrect, there was such a long line of people waiting I didn't want to wait and pull it up using my Amazon app. When I got back to my car I did check and of course it didn't have to be prepackaged. By now the line was 10 deep. What a mess. I wonder if these people are new owners? DO NOT RECOMMEND, EVER. I would give negative stars if I could. I had an agreement with this specific UPS store to exclusively pack and ship all our auction items from our local auction business. This consisted of anywhere from 10-100+ packages a week on average. They were slow and overpriced, but we worked with them. Denon the "new" manager walked in and told us to remove all our stuff from the store that they hadn't yet shipped with no notice or anything. After speaking with them we gave them another shot and they have FAILED miserably since then. They have lost packages, failed to mail items for several months at a time, then mailed them to the wrong addresses. We had customers around the US waiting for their packages for several months and kept getting the run around from Denon. The manager himself (Denon) even mailed high dollar signed comics without any sort of support and they all arrived damaged. I've been fighting with the store since June 2023 to get refunds for the multiple damaged items our customers have received after requests in writing to Denon, as well as in person conversations with him and phone calls with him and the owner. We've given them three chances additional chances because everyone can screw up now and again, but each time, they have managed to screw things up even worse. I'm pretty sure they are out of employees to blame and excuses to give. We support small businesses 100%, but we will no longer ship 1000's of packages a year through their store. You can only lie so long before it all catches up to you. Small Claims court is our next stop. read more

Went in to return an Amazon package. Hand the item over and they scan the code on your phone. So easy. 2 gals working there and people waiting in line. The girls were nice and friendly. The problem with the UPS stores in general is the length of time it takes to input all the package info and print a label. That really backs things up and takes patience on those of us waiting in line. Interesting how they have not been able to expedite this process. After using UPS for 6 years in Kirkland for my Amazon business we moved to Oak Harbor. Started shipping to Amazon from UPS here. Quite happy with service and employees are professional at UPS Oak Harbor. However today I was told that business owners must pay for a post box when using their store. That is because if a box is returned they will have to abandon the package rather than contact me. Guess that is reasonable. But, the Kirkland store never tried to force me to get an extra expense for shipping as a business. Kirkland managers went out of their way to partner with us Amazon sellers. Kind of disappointing, but if that is their policy I have no choice but to use Pony Mail Box from now on. Pony is actually closer to my house anyway and the people at Pony are really nice. read more

I went to this store this morning to drop off a parcel that was already labeled for return to Verizon. I arrived at the store and it was still closed (to open in 5 minutes) so I waited behind another gentleman and lady. A young man came and opened the door at 10am. We filed in. The 2 in front of me went to the counter. After the young kid helped the lady I walked up and set my box on the counter. Before I could even say anything the kid says VERY rudely "dropping off? Picking up? what are you doing?!" I looked at him and started to say dropping off and was pointing at the label when he then responds with "it helps to use your words".... I just looked at him and said " wow!" I asked for his name and he just stared at me. He then threw my tracking receipt at me and promptly THREW MY BOX across the room to a pile on the right! I will NEVER use this facility again AND will be complaining to Verizon about the service... I guess it's the times that employers are so desperate for employees that we as consumers can be treated disrespectfully and they still have a job.... sad.... read more

This is the worst UPS store I ever been to! The store was too busy for one of the employees to take a break and have just one gal with a line of 7 people with packages to mail. I ran in quickly to get a copy. We live in the San Juan's and standing in line because the copy machine was down (with no sign saying it was out of order) it killed a good 20 min. standing in line to let them know. I was only there to get a copy of an eye prescription to take into Costco. Next time, I will step up and let them know right away but really I didn't want to be rude....but next time maybe being a bit more assertive, might be necessary. I mean I am a customer too! Finally, I tell the gal the machine is down, she says, it's not and I say "yes" it is. There is a copy machine right behind the employee who could have taken my paper I needed a copy of and just took care of it. So, I ask to speak to the manager Rojpaa and she tells me the public copier is working. So, I walk over and say there is nothing lighting up, your copier is down. I need a copy, I am tight on time. I mean WHY make me go over this stuff for another 8 min. My husband is waiting outside and I need to be on my way. So finally the manager see's for herself that the copier is down and not working. I tell her why don't you have a sign on the copier and she could care less. She makes my copy and charges me. Does not have the change to give me back and I am like keep it, I need to go. Why even be open for business, get a new manager to clean this shop up! It's a busy store and shameful they can't get their act together. read more

I came into the store on Burlington Blvd today when there was a very long line in a sudden rush of customers. Both of your team members worked through each customer in a professional and friendly manner, never showing signs of the inevitable stress this situation would bring.  On top of this, I was "that lady" today; bringing in over 10 large Amazon returns plus other business. The employee who helped me (short wavy blond hair and glasses) powered through my items like a machine! She never made me feel like I was an inconvenience or trouble. The other employee (short dark hair and glasses) managed to help ALL of the other customers to give her coworker time for all my items. They took care of this rush in no time.  I have been in customer service a very long time and I was VERY impressed. My package never got delivered. When I called customer service, I was told to go back to this UPS store to pick up my package. When I got there, I was told to leave my name and number and when THEY had time they would call me back. I showed them the email from customer service indicating my package was there. I was given another number I was supposed to call. It was very clear they did not want to look for my package. Finally, the owner went back and found it. My family sent me a piece of art work and entrusted this store to pack it correctly and ship it to me. That was a fatal mistake ! The packing was inadequate the the picture was ruined. The current owners of the store refused to pay for the picture's attempted restoration. They are just focused on their profit and not focused on the customer who ultimately makes them money... This place is always a mess and extremely unorganized when I come in here to pick up my mail and packages. They can never find my packages and they say " I need to come back later after they organize the floor " . WHAT AM I PAYING YOU GUYS FOR? DO your job! I always get someone else's mail ! When I pick up my packages, they say I don't need to sign anything, but when I come back a few days later they say I have packages but I really don't because I NEVER SIGNED ANYTHING SO ITS STILL IN THE SYSTEM SAYING I HAVE PACKAGES FOR PICKUP! I find it abhorrent that you feel you have the right to walk into a business that you do not own or work at and make demands. Your recent post on yelp dated June 11, 2020 about the UPS store in Burlington Washington complaining that customers visiting the UPS store are not wearing masks nor are some of the employees. You made a very big mistake making such a libelous statement when you gave that horrible review on yelp that had NOTHING to do with the service that the UPS store provides. Meanwhile your action of shaming the employees at the UPS store is extremely selfish. Why do your wife's medical rights trump any other persons medical rights. The Americans with Disabilities Act protects all disabilities those that can be seen as well as those that can not be seen. The "P" in the HIPAA act protects the privacy of those individuals with medical conditions. I find it unconscionable that you are demanding a person working at a shipping store hand out medical advice per your discretion or Jay Inslee's advice for that matter. Neither of you have Medical degrees and neither of you can override the Federal Governments laws that have been in place for over 20 years! Would you deny services to a person in a wheel chair or a blind person? In your complaint you thought it was a wise idea to take on the federal government and a fortune one hundred company. (Bad Move) In case you don't know the Department of Justice has an Americans with Disabilities hot line just begging for tips about people like you. UPS a company that is very specific about their brand, I am fairly confident, does not want to be siding with you advising that UPS should discriminate against Americans who are disabled or that their employees have the medical credentials to determine peoples medical circumstances before shipping services are rendered! I am not giving legal advice, but I would strongly suggest removing that post and writing a formal letter of apology to the business owners.
