This is a review of The UPS Store #7052 at 7937 S. Harlem in Burbank, Illinois. First off, there are a LOT of UPS Stores in the greater Chicago area. I had traveled to Chicago the week of April 27th for a busy business week and ultimately needed to ship home some high value work items. Although I was able to supply my own heavy duty box, since I was traveling on business I obviously did not have a packaging tape gun or packing supplies. Enter The UPS Store employee Amina into the equation. Amina was congenial, kind, super helpful, and helped me procure the bubble wrap and packaging tape I needed to box up my supplies for a safe ride via UPS Ground. Amina even reminded me about my AAA discount to save a few bucks! If you are in the area, go find Amina and tell her "Thank you" for being an amazing human. They charge 5 dollars to print a piece of paper. Rip off. I don't really write reviews but this one needed it.

They charge u $5 to print out a label so be prepared and better bring your own, even though I paid $8 for shipping I end up spending another $5 just for a piece of paper, when USPS does it for free at their store and no need to send anything I guess it's an employee's side hustle read more

I must commend the employees. Every one I have had the pleasure of dealing with has been professional, kind, and patient. That being said, Carlos the manager is a cheap ass. When the UPS hub in Bedford Park 3 blocks away closed, this UPS store had a surge in business, many of these customers with large packages or numerous packages. (Bedford Park UPS served local businesses, especially.) BP UPS had multiple dollies & carts, this store does not have any. When asked about obtaining one, Carlos allegedly had a dolly for the store, but it was stolen. (My request was made over a year ago.) Basically, Carlos is going to stay butthurt over a stolen dolly when he could easily obtain another one (good ones can be found for around $100) and throw an airtag in it... but no, he's going to stay butthurt and piss off the customers. GREAT Service !!! I had sent this location an e-mail with a document I needed to have Notarized. They printed it, they notarized it, made me a couple copies and I was out of the store in no time at all. Very pleasant, professional and fast ! read more

I made a 9:30am appointment for notary services online only to drive 5 miles there to find out upon arrival that the notary would not be in until around "1 or 2pm" . Why let me make an appointment for 9:30 when you know no one would be there. Then they tell me I should have called first?? What?? I thought this was a professional resource for business needs. I used to dread going to this place. Carlos and his staff were just terrible. When I called him out for being terrible and offering terrible service - he didn't like it, It never dawned on him to just be better. The last four times I dropped in on that store the young dudes working there were professional and articulate and easy to work with. They have taken my packages and have always been polite and - honestly - they are about the best UPS employees I have ever encountered. I don't mean best UPS store. I mean the best UPS employees I have ever encountered. They have elevated that store. I wonder where Carlos is now. (Now I don't. I couldn't care less.) read more

Says online and in sore front signage that they offer notary, each time I have requested notary service, there isn't one. In addition, they will not print shipping labels either. And the tone and attitude use of informing of these inconveniences is completely unprofessional. Please do better. Customer service is challenging, but can be made easier with a bit of empathy. read more

Do NOT go here to print. They make you go on a computer that dor some strange reason charges a $20 hold on your card. Then &3.75 for literally like 90 seconds of on line time. When i asked why it was offline so fast some rude girl says because I didnt opt for extra time at the beginning of session. All I needed was to print a free return label but they got me. I couldnt print my label and was out $23.75!!!! Talk about ridiculous!!! I went to Oak Lawn ups store and they printed it for me for me. It was 3 $3.25 with no hold. So my free return cost me $27 to print the damn label for going to the burbank ups store. What a joke!!!!!!!! read more

The service was horrible, I was the only one in the store and nobody acknowledged me at all, even though I was carrying several boxes into the store. The tape came loose on one of my boxes and the man at the desk charged me $4 to use their tape to close it. If you want or need to go to the ups store, don't go to this location. Save your time and money and go to a different one. read more

Carlos (the owner) has to be one of the nicest people my boyfriend and I have ever met!! We are so glad he opened a location in our area - it is the best experience we have ever had! We went close to closing time and he was friendly and helpful. Likewise, we also forgot his backpack there that had important work items in it. We are SO lucky and grateful that he answered the phone after hours AND stayed so we could pick it up. We will continue to support and promote his locations. If I could give ZERO stars that is what I would do! Dropped off an Amazon return a month ago and it has been missing. Never made it out of the store and I can't get my refund. I was issued a DROP OF PACKAGE RECEIPT and the manager/owner Carlos told me there is nothing they could do for me. I spoke with 2 different employees and they told me that THE UPS STORE lost an entire box that was suppose to go to Amazon and that the owner would need to make a claim with UPS and get me a refund issued now that Carlos the manager/owner is finally taking my call he said that information I received is incorrect and there isn't anything they could do to help me out. this ups store on 7937 so harlem ave in bubank illinois is horrible. i brought in 2 boxes to be returned and the owner john was totally unprofessional and ignorant and rude just because i leaned a box on his trash can. unbelievable!!!! he refused to accept my returns . this guy needs to be out of business. do not bring your business to this location or the one in bridgeport area of chicago illinois because he owns both franchises. .im not done with this guy by far. im calling ups corporate and hopefully they will revoke his license to operate under the ups name. .....horrible read more

My father went to this location to ship a package to his brother in TN. Roughly 2 weeks later they let him know the package was back at the UPS store - it was returned saying the address was not valid. My dad double checked the address on the box - it was correct, so he asked for a refund and his package back. The manager, Carlos refused to give a refund. He said that UPS already got the money and he would lose money so no refund. My dad pointed out that he paid this store to deliver a package and it wasn't done - this store should refund his money! He spent at least 45 min in there trying to resolve this. Carlos said he would ship it out again. As there was no other choice since he still refused to give a refund, my dad left the package with him. A few weeks later my uncle told my dad that the package still hadn't been delivered. My dad went back to the UPS store and spoke to Carlos again. He looked around and found that the package - sitting on a shelf - it was never sent out the second time and apparently no one thought it odd that a box was sitting there for weeks. Again my dad asked for his package and a refund and again Carlos refused. This is absolutely ridiculous!!! Our family will certainly never use this store again and I suggest none of you use them either. HORRIBLE SERVICE. read more

Carlos the owner personally came to measure, quote, and wrap our furniture after my grandmother died. Carlos and his staff were professional, caring, and efficient. The work is excellent, the staff is diverse, and the prices are reasonable. I highly recommend this business to anyone in the Chicago and Burbank area. read more
