7-29-24 Monday Morning Came here like everyone else on this line to do an Amazon return. I had my QR code that they scanned and the item was in its inner carton that it was received in. Once it is your turn it takes about the 30 seconds the entire transaction. Nothing out of the ordinary or above and beyond for this visit. At least I am getting around finding out where these places are in my new neighborhood. There was no payment to be made as the return shipping is no cost. The quality of the item was not what was advertised so it went back. If everything was as presented Amazon would get less returns and UPS would only be delivering not taking unnecessary returns. read more

I came in to make a return and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. The manager (at the Okatie location on 9/26) gave me attitude right away and even told me that the UPS driver would "laugh in their faces" if I tried to send my return back in a clear plastic bag. This "manager" on duty wasn't in uniform, which made it confusing to even know who was in charge (she was wearing glasses with a teddy bear colorful T-shirt) and instead of helping, I was told to use the self-service station to repack my already packed return. I was also warned that if I did it incorrectly, I would "forfeit" my return entirely. I kindly explained I've returned many amazon packages in clear bags and per the Amazon return guidelines this is encouraged. As a customer, I expect to be treated respectfully and given clear guidance--especially when following return procedures. Instead, I felt dismissed and pressured. This experience left me very dissatisfied, and I hope the store improves both its professionalism and customer service going forward. A strong recommendation to look at the management at this store and correct immediately. She is unprofessional...went as far as to yell at me as I was walking out of the store. read more

UNBELIEVABLE! Don't go to this UPS any more. Since moving to Sun City 3 years ago, we have always gone to UPS for all our shipping needs from holiday gift shipping to an occasional Amazon return. The staff has always been fantastic. Today, I come in with a box and the man at the counter, without even a Hello, asks me why the box isn't taped? Then proceeded to lecture me on the many different way Amazon processes returns. Absurd. Then he wanted a dollar to tape the box, even though it was my first offense? Long story short, go to The UPS Store at 20 Towne Drive where they greet you with Hello, ask how they can help and don't charge money for a piece of tape. read more

I went in the UPS store this morning for a return to AMZN the man at the counter said the box needed to be taped and it would cost me $1, when I commented about the expense, he was indignant and said I could go home and tape it myself. Upon my return with the package taped, he claimed he didn't like my attitude, and ask me to leave. when I asked to discuss his decision, which he again brought up my attitude?I tried to apologize if he misinterpreted my comment and asked to speak to a manage/owner, he said he was the owner and would call the police and have me arrested for trespassing if I didn't leave immediately. I went here this morning with the intention to have them later ship a small package by UPS but first I needed it weighed to calculate the shipping charges, inform the buyer so they can pay me for shipping first, and then return with a printed pre-paid shipping label. (We are not professional sellers. This was a household item.) There was no wait. I was courteous. But the woman behind the counter REFUSED to weigh the small package, saying that if she weighs it I might take it someplace else to ship it! Even when I explained that I needed to first tell the seller the cost and have them pay me first before I return to ship it from her store, she refused to weigh it. She wouldn't even tell me what it would cost to ship it by UPS after I told her the destination! She was extremely rude and treated me as if I was trying to trick her by weighing a package! It was fully my intention to return to this store and ship the item after the buyer first pays me for shipping and I pre-print the shipping label. Now I will never do business with this store. I will take packages to USPS or FedEx even if it's more expensive. This UPS store has the quality of customer service you would expect in Siberia, not in the usually friendly Low Country of South Carolina. read more

The majority of items I shipped from UPS store 1500 in Bluffton arrived broken. I contacted the owner Matt Bautista and he said he would file a claim on my behalf, that was a month ago. I reached out to Matt on March, 20 asking for status of claim and he responded 'they were still waiting to hear' Then complete radio silence. Matt will not respond. I spoke with UPS corporate today and spread the word that this is by far the single most frustrating and unprofessional experience I have ever encountered. Seriously, how low can you go? You break an elderly woman's possessions and then you lie about filing a claim? And then you refuse to return calls or emails? Your reviews are horrible for a reason. You have no integrity. I have gone to this UPS store for years and the employees have always been efficient, friendly and helpful. The red headed gal has not been any of those things!! Today she was very rude to the fellow in front of me and then when I got up with 5-6 return packages, the first one I had the wrong Amazon code sheet and she had a fit telling me Ricky that "I had to have the right code with the right package. I fou d the right one right unext that sheet and apologized but to no avail. she again loudly and rudely said u have to have the right codes with ea k package and we dont want the bags! Terrible customer service. The blond gal is moody and you never know if you are going to get her on a good day or a bad day. She didn't even help me this last visit, but I watched her treat two customers poorly in the time that I was waiting there. She shakes her head at them as if they're stupid if they don't understand what she saying, she rolls her eyes, she makes comments to the rest of the people standing in line about the person she's helping. I think I'll stick to hand delivering my packages to the drivers rather than deal with her. read more

Absolutely horrible UPS Store. Avoid at all cost. Charged me $404 to package and ship four wheels to Ohio. Totally improperly packaged and nearly perfect wheels arrived damaged and banging together in the $30 ups store branded boxes. Forget trying to get them on the phone or reply to emails. It won't work. Got a number for UPS corporate and reported this pathetic excuse of a UPS store to initiate the nightmarish claim process because the store will not reply. Just returned two items ordered online in an original box that contained 5 items. The clerk pointed out to me I could save money by merely purchasing a plastic mailing envelope. I paid a premium price to get a mailbox at this location for my business so I could safely receive checks & contracts. That didn't happen. This week I grabbed 4 letters of my box, walked out and drove with my husband down the street to the drug store. While he was in the store, I started going through the mail and realized these all had postmark dates from months ago - all the way back to May, July & August of this year. Two checks, a contract, and a tax bill from another state. I went back to the store and asked what this was all about and the owner actually told me I must not have seen them in the box. That's right - I hadn't seen the letters in my tiny mailbox for 6 months on any of my bi-weekly visits. The sad truth is, it's not the first time this has happened. It happened a lot over the last year and every time they played the blame game - I didn't see it. It must have fallen out. It's the mail delivery's fault. I have to deal with all the repercussions of all this misdirected mail and as a small business that relies on credibility and word-of-mouth referrals, this makes me look bad because I can't even figure out how to get my mail delivered. It's damaging to me. Not sure how hard it is to match up a number on an envelope to a number on a box, but clearly that job can't get done in this store. Stay Away. read more

We were vacationing in Bluffton/Hilton Head area and ended up buying some furniture and art pieces. Everything was expertly packed and taken care of. The staff there was so helpful about finding the best/affordable way to ship things back home. Let me just say, respect to be respected! How are you going to have the nerve to talk to customers with an attitude the way the lady (blonde lady) at the counters did today. Walked in like MANY other days, put my package on the counter space they have with my PRE LABELED package. Why buy a pre label if not to avoid lines and waiting, right? I have no issues with usps and never had an issue with UPS till today. The lady's at the counter telling me I HAVE to wait for a receipt. After I said I didn't need one (hello, saves you the ink and the paper). Then being told ups REQUIRES you to get one. Really? I asked if it was something new because I never have been told that before. In fact I AM ASKED if I want a receipt! This is such an inconvenience if you're in a hurry. Please don't waste customers time and your ink or paper. Also, DON'T BE RUDE and say YOU DON'T CARE what I do with my receipt I still need one AND DEFINITELY DO NOT tell your coworkers "not my fault if it gets lost" when I dispose of the receipt I did not request. I can't believe this is customer service to y'all. Disappointed. Cat believe you have people like that "working" for you and putting such bad rep to UPS. Sad. read more

Were NOT wearing masks, did NOT sanitize the credit card pad and pen, the gray haired guy was RUDE, wanted to charge $1 for putting 6 inches of tape on a box. So I left, went to the UPS in Bluffton by Steinmart: they wore masks, wiped services after each customer, and were happy to add a little tape for free! This location seems to have little problem taking advantage of older folks by over charging them. My parents don't often send packages, so they trusted the name UPS in order to return a Christmas gift I had sent to them. Some how they were charged a whopping $91.00 for a package that cost less than $28.00 to mail to them. Of course when I called, they gave me every excuse they could without helping me understand why they couldn't help my parents send this package for a reasonable price, nothing, except a lame analogy comparing car buying to package sending??? The truth is, sure they'll get your package where it needs to go, but you may have to take out another mortgage on your home to get it there! read more

I have been a box holder for 3 years and love the personal service I receive. I have NEVER had any problems either sending, getting a discount due to my mailbox subscription, or receiving any packages. I receive a email and a notice on my cellphone when i receive any package. They are a great group, very busy during Holiday time, but who isn't? Highly recommend! read more

The worst customer service I've encountered in the easy shipping age. A local auction house delivered a painting to this UPS store to be sent to me. Both parties had all of my phone numbers, addresses, email addresses, everything they would need to contact me. No one did. Six months went by. I was busy and forgot about the purchase until someone contacted me in February. I called and gave my credit card number, even though I did not feel like I owed more shipping charges. I just wanted to be done with these guys. Three weeks later, no painting. I e-mail asking for a tracking number. No answer. Finally the auction house guy emails to say I need to give the UPS guy my credit card number, which of course I already did. Use this store only if you can wait seven full months for your shipment to be shipped. read more
