I told her I would think about it and would try to come get it myself on Friday. She waived the daily fee for non pick up since I was coming in two days. I called her the next day, Thursday, to let her know I would need the delivery service after all. She told me she was unable to offer the delivery service now because there would only be one person working delivery on Friday. I tried to ask her if my friend and I could help the deliverer as we really just needed the transportation. She refused and said if I didn't come pick it up tomorrow I would incur the daily fee. I'm really angry that it turned out this way. It's like the rug was yanked out from under me. A big part of my ability to purchase the couch was the fall-back of the delivery option. I have spent several hours of my day scrambling to rent a truck for a reasonable price. I am not pleased and would not recommend expecting this SA to follow through on their word. It wasn't right to offer delivery on Friday if it didn't work. If it is policy that a person cannot work alone, then the manager should have accommodated me, the paying customer, and delivered Monday without charging the daily fee. There were other options, but the manager hung me out to dry. I don't appreciate that.

Year. After year. After year. The same. Exact. Experience. And an apology? You would have better luck hitting the lottery than get anyone in this location to take any accountability for their mess. As a former Management Role/Post Office employee myself, I am well aware of what it takes to carry out the simple tasks that these people profoundly screw up routinely.
