I went into this UPS store frantic and needing help. The owner and staff of this store bent over backwards to help me get everything printed, notarized, and mailed out (in under 30 minutes!). I've never met a more helpful and pleasant group of people in my life. I paid for a package to be professionally boxed and they did a horrible job. they didn't double box it. didn't have it wrapped correctly. gave me a price just using the weight of the item, not packed up with shipping materials. the box got damaged--the machine was broken. a $5000 sewing machine!!!!! It is a company that manages online reputations that automatically post responses to give readers the false impression that the company cares. This is for both positive and negative reviews. She was a lady stared me down from the beginning and told me my package was unfit for shipping, and rather than offering me solutions or repackaging services. she basically told me I had to go somewhere else Would not recommend taking your business here. I visit this store inconsistently because I think UPS overcharges and under delivers - I am FEDEX or Post Office supporter. However, I had an Amazon return today that required a UPS return. My UPS Store experience continues to be so under-whelming I just felt compelled to write a review. I was returning tennis shoes. Amazon's instructions were to return the shoes in the original box with the prepaid shipping label. I followed all instructions. There were 5 staff members behind the counter. Not one employee demonstrated job satisfaction or happy customer service. First I was told they couldn't ship my shoes in that box. Then I was told they could but it would cost me $14. I asked what the $14 was for. They told me it was for a shipping box. I asked why do I need a shipping box when Amazon instructed me to ship in the original package. They told me because they cannot ship a shoe box. Annoyed, I paid the $14 - what else is there to do? I understand that UPS store employees are merely following their rules. I get it. But there was ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE. ZERO SMILES. ZERO HAVE A NICE DAY. ZERO SORRY FOR THE MIS-UNDERSTANDING. I went there to get a title notarized and the employee was extremely rude when I was asking questions on why she was unable to do it. She told me the way I was doing it was "floating a title" and when I asked what that meant her response to me was giving me the title back and saying "have a nice day" and "now your document is invalid." Wow - BEWARE I looked up a price on the UPS website and put in the exact weight and dimensions of my package and was quoted a price just under $22 for UPS Ground. Now at this UPS Store they wanted $115 for 2 day. $75 for delivery in a week. I did my home work and looked up the price at the post office which it was $30.60 for 3 day delivery. When I said no thanks to the UPS Store cashier she acted like I was making up the USPS price. Ummm no the USPS actually honor their estimates. Oh and one other thing - the package had the To and From address on it in 28 point font. So kind of big. But yet I had to tell the cashier where it was coming from and where it was going to. Franchise owner/manager is unhinged. I've returned many items to Amazon at this location. Employees have always been nice, until today. Today, entirely different experience. The owner/manager refused to accept my Amazon return, tried to charge me despite having authorization from Amazon. He then turned red faced and started yelling at me that the item was not packed correctly. I told him I brought it in exactly as it had been mishandled and delivered to me. He wanted me to repackage. I have only been in the store twice, but the employees definitely have great attitudes and are very helpful/knowledgeable about their job. Both times I have been, I haven't been in the store for maybe longer than three minutes. Some people might take that as they are just trying to get customers to go away, but I don't want to be standing in line for a long time. The last time I was in there I did an Amazon return and I think the guy was laughing on the inside when I asked "wait, I don't have to pay to send it back?" He just looked at me and said "nope, it's already paid for" as I had my credit card out waiting to pay. Even if you call they have great attitudes and know what they are talking about. read more

Alright, I needed a fax, 30 min later it was done... they said that's normal, maybe it is maybe not. I don't know but I got work that needs to be done. So instead of telling me i don't know how much this is going to cost you but if it's under ten $10 you have to pay cash, they should have said you this will cost you 30 min of time. But I wait, then I get rung up. I already told the girl I'm not paying in cash nor am I going to waste more time to go to a bank I don't have pay and extra 3$ service fee to take money out for an establishment that everywhere else can take my debit card. I've been to at least 15 ups stores in 5 states and never had this issue. They ring it up, $4.50... but I now am getting aggravated because they are forcing me to buy more stuff to use the only method of payment I have. I buy pens, $9.50, that's not enough, so I get a marker and asks who owns the store. The man pointed at the older gentleman and said he does, he walks over and aggressively asks what's the problem I told him the problem is I don't want pens and a marker and I have to pay them for your arbitrary rule. So I said I was going to get my team to leave bad comments. Had he just apologized or rang me up for my original cost I probably wouldn't have done nothing because I have more important things to do and went on my way. But then he had to get rude... I'm not big in being disrespected when I'm the customer after waiting 30 min to send a fax. He ordered me to put the pens back and marker, then said pick up your fax and have a nice life or whatever you need, and to never come back to his store again, in front of about three other customers... gas lighting to a whole new level. I could see this might embarrass some people but really its just embarrassing for him. So yeah after all that your damn right I'm leaving a bad review. The money is stupid, just pay the damn fee for a debit card usage the margins are huge for small items like a fax or printed copy. How huge... I'll explain in a second. Two sheets of paper to print my email for the fax cost a whopping 1.8 cents. 45$ for 10 teams of 500 sheets= 45/5000=.009 * 2 sheets= 1.8 cents A fax line roughly costs $50 a month, for the 15 min my fax was going through {$50/ [(60 min an hour * 24 hours a day (potential usage) * 30 days)]}= 1.7 cents Now for the ink, for the large nice printers according to the internet it says on average it costs 3.5cents per sheet of black and white times that by 2 sheets, plus the 3rd cover sheet= 10.5 cents Total price= 14 cents is my total... I have to pay $4.50. Whatever that's business... but then to make me pay an extra 5.50$ that's stupid... but I'm leaving the review because not some kid, or the employee but the older man, the owner orders me around, tells me to pick my stuff up and leave and never come back. So congratulations. You have managed to waste another 15 minutes of my time to write a review. Change the store policy to have debit card purchases under 10$ and I'll take down the review. Literally will rip you off. I mailed almost an identical package at a UPS store in Springboro, OH charges me $12. This location refused to mail my package for no less than $23. Complete rip-off. You can go to another UPS Store and get a much better deal. Avoid this one at all costs. They are just elevating prices because they can. Worst service I've ever had at a UPS store. There were two folks working and a handful of customers. The lady in front of me was mailing a sentimental drawing her late mother made and the sales guy guilted her into the most expensive shipping by telling her that any other method simply was sure to have it damaged. Shameful. She left incredibly upset. I was there to make a couple simple amazon returns and when I reached his register he scanned everything then told me I'd have to pay for a box (my item was already boxed). I said no, I'd just figure it out later if that was the case and took it off the scale. He rudely asked, "are you done yet?" And was annoyed when I requested a receipt. I asked for his name since he didn't have a name tag and it wasn't on the receipt. His name is Aaron. As soon as he realized he was being an A**hole and I knew his name, suddenly his entire demeanor changed and he was polite as pie realizing that I may tell UPS about the experience. I don't go 'full Karen' very often, but the way he treated that poor woman before me was enough to set me over the edge. read more

I went there to rent a mailbox and they charged me $400 upfront for the first year plus three free additional months because of a promotion. Everything was explained EXCEPT the fact that I would not be given a key to access my mailbox UNTIL six months has elapsed. I believe that the fact that the UPS Store national website advertises 24/7 access to my mailbox and I am not being given said level of access until the second half of my lease that this is dishonest especially since I was not told this salient point until AFTER I had executed the lease and paid in full. I wanted to pass along my gratitude and say what an outstanding staff this location has. Kelly, the General Manager, went above and beyond to track down a package of live honey bees that was suppose to be overnighted, but was diverted due to lack of knowledge on my part when changing delivery location due to heavy rains. This location takes care of their customers time and time again and proves it through their committed service and dedication to ensuring you fell satisfied they did all they could do. They did just that! He provided an update for me and advised I call the sender to have them work it on their end as well. Kelly, picked up his cell phone and personally reached out to a contact at the shipping hubs for verification. I say this because when I call the 1-800 Number I was hung up on twice when asked to speak to a manager. Then when I drove 30 mins, one way, to the Dayton UPS hub, the individual there would not give me direct answers to my questions and did not want to deal the situation. Be aware that each UPS Store sets their own prices. I had 6 pages notarized at one store close to my work on Friday and paid $12, $2 per page. Realized they needed to be signed in blue ink, not black. Went to this Beavercreek store the next day and assumed it would be similar price (my mistake). Once it was all done I was told the price was $42. Same exact service!! Their price was $6 per page, a charge for extra witness who literally just signed her name, a service fee. The staff was excellent but they have no say on pricing of course. So be aware that this UPS store is price gouging for notary services, in my opinion. I get that profit must be made, but this is ridiculous. read more

Went to a previous store to drop off a return and they totaled me out at around 2 dollars. Unfortunately I didn't have my wallet at the time so I had to go home to get it. Came to this store today and for the same return I was shipping out the charged me 6 dollars for a small box and when I asked if there was another option the lady responded with an attitude. Ultimately, I wouldn't say they have everything in terms of packaging that other stores have. Don't recommend. Will he driving the extra length to go to the other one next time. Despite my review the owner had the audacity to mock me and/or my values in life in their comment to my post. Had one of the craziest experiences of my life here and wanted to warn others that one of the managers who works here is mentally unhinged. My wife went in to try and ship a set of air pods (small package worth about $200)  at the most basic speed with insurance. The person she dealt with was the manager. He initially rang her up for $175. When she told him that was unacceptable he rang her up for $75. Assuming that the high cost was for insurance, she paid and left. When she arrived home and looked at the email receipt, she realized the manager had charged her for second day air. We called the store back within 30 minutes of dropping the package off to inform them that they had overcharged us. A different employee answered and told us there was nothing that could be done as the package had already been picked up from the store (this turned out to be a lie). We then requested to talk to the manager. He got on the phone and was extremely short with us, told us to bring our credit card into the store, then hung up on us. When we arrived at the store he had us swipe our card and then handed us our package back without saying anything. Confused, we asked if we could still ship the package basic ground like we originally wanted. This is when the manager lost it. He started shaking and told us to get out of his store. We said we didn't understand as we had been calm and polite the whole time. He told us we didn't need to understand, we just needed to get out of his store before he called the cops. At this point we were getting glances from the other employees there as his behavior clearly made them uncomfortable. We again asked him politely if we could send our package still as we had made 2 trips to the store at this point. Without saying anything he pulled his phone out, walked to the back and proceeded to call the police on us. We were so shocked by this crazy, erratic behavior that we left not knowing what to do. We just figured everyone else should be made aware that this store clearly has a culture of deceit as we were lied to by more than one employee there. Will not be using that store anymore. read more

I have to hand it to the owner of this place, he is one of the most profitable business men out there, pretty lacking in customer service however. Thier policy on cards is pretty interesting, cash only for under $5 then debit is ok as long as it's under $20 and then if you unlock the premium pass they will allow you to use a credit card for anything over $20. Unless he feels like changing it that day for what ever reason. The owner yelled at a fellow customer causing me to absolutely shake in my boots. No country for old men? He is the country when you walk into this make shift UPS establishment. Everything is over priced and they are pretty good at making it very difficult not to spend over $30 at this place, earning that guy the title of most profitable businessman ever. Now I'm a reasonable guy so here is my ultimatum, get rid of your nonsense "policies" and be nice to your customers and perhaps I'll stop shaking in my boots and delete this review. I would give this place a negative star if I could. To send a camera to cannon from ohio to virgina insured was going to cost $106. The same camera and package for usps cost 21.20. I tried to call the place back and corp. The individual store said that this was typical that they charge 5x more. I asked corp if they would pay over a hundred dollars to ship (not even next day) that cost $600, she said yes because it would get there safe. I said that you are saying that no other shipping company can get a package safe to a location and she said yes. So not only are they really expensive they are also really conceded.
