Yesterday was my second visit to the Oakwood UPS. After many unpleasant visits to the Brandt Pike venue, I happened to find the Oakwood branch while visiting my Oakwood HS classmate who owns the Oakwood Club restaurant. I lived across the street behind Central Perk for many years. My experiences were amazing. The place is very clean and well lit. This is important for the older of us who do not see so well. Bright lighting can really help when filling out small-print forms. Both times I arrived, I was served immediately by a "welcome home" smile. The staff is personable as well as very knowledgable. Yesterday I walked in with a rather large item contained in a yard trash bag. NO PROBLEM. They found a box and in five minutes, I was out the door. I took the trash bag with me. You would do well to consider making this your package "go to" Other businesses would benefit by taking a page from the UPS customer service handbook. They treat you right! read more

On two recent visits they closed during posted working hours. Workers were there, but ignore customers outside. Avoid.

Joe who works there told me that I have to provide a box and label or purchase those from them in breach of their contract with Amazon for Amazon returns. Amazon specifically lists this location as a UPS Store, not a UPS drop off, where it's free to return Amazon items. Is this store charging for a box to make inappropriate profit despite their contract with Amazon? I will contact UPS corporate and Amazon as well to report the situation. read more

I needed passport photos and over-night shipment of the photos with the documents. The gentlemen who assisted me was personable, efficient, and delivered excellent service. My name, the name and address of the UPS store and the date had to be printed on the back of the photos. I was uncertain that I could get that much information in such a small space. The clerk offered to print the information on the back of each photo and did a great job. He took care to make sure the ink was dry before putting the photos in the pouch. I never have had good service. Always disapointed, always feel like I'm a burden and they never have the boxes you need.

I keep going and I continue to be disappointed with this UPS location. Shame on me but I tend to give chances. No more. From rudeness, lack of services advertised, to not following specific directions given and causing me to miss a deadline, I will now find a new store. I highly recommend this owner take a long and hard look at their UPS store in Oakwood and make some changes. It's getting one star but only because I had to in order to post. read more

I went in to ship a Christmas return. I had a pair of boots and was told they could not ship "shoe boxes". The boots were in a corrugated cardboard box not a Nike box. I said that this was the way they were shipped to us by the manufacture via UPS. I was told that the "manufacturer can get away with it". Then the clerk tried to sell me a $13 box. I left the store and went to the Warren St location. They shipped my box no questions asked and it arrived at the manufacturer two business days later. I'll drive past this location to go to Warren St the next time I need to ship something UPS. read more

This location advertises a Notary in house. This is not the case. Don't waste your time going there for that.

As I entered the small store I noticed 2 people being served with masks down below their noses. I spoke to 2 staff. One acknowledge me but did nothing. The second who served me rudely dismissed me. One of those customers was coughing as she left. If shop owners can't ask people to kindly wear their masks right we will never see our numbers go down. So disappointed read more

If I was able to give this store a 0 I would. I took some papers into the Wilmington Pike location in Centerville to have bound, using their comb binding machine. This packet was notes that were specifically put together for my style of learning for my upcoming semester in school. The employee, Aaliyah, took the packet and went over to the binding machine. I waited a while, two other employees came in. I heard her ask "Do you know how to use the binding machine?" That is the first time I heard of any concerns. I waited a while longer while she finished up the job. When she handed it back to me, she had bound some pages on the right side of the paper, some on the left, and it was all out of order. I looked at her and let her know this was wrong. She then stated "I'm sorry." That was it. I let her know that this was a packet that put together for my style of learning, and she didn't care at all. I asked for the managers phone number, which I got. I proceeded to call Elizabeth, and she told me that she was unable to come up to that location because she was managing another, the Oakwood Store. Okay, I told her that I would come in there. I got to the Oakwood, Ohio store in about 15 minutes. I waited in line, and was greeted by an employee named Lilith, I told her my situation, and she seemed to want to help. I handed her the packet and said maybe she could work on helping me while I waited to talk to her manager, Elizabeth. I had to wait a short while, no problem, until Elizabeth was free. She listened to my complaint, and I let her know that that was the only copy. I needed to figure out how to get it back in order, but the problem was is that there was no way to get it back in order because that was the master and only copy. She mentioned she would do whatever she could to help. I said that is fine, I could come back about 6:00 to meet with her. I left and proceeded on to work. I come back to the Oakwood, Ohio location and I see Lilith attending the counter. I walk up and she warmly greeted me and said she did the best she could by putting it back into order (the PowerPoints, and some notes) but there was no way she could get it correct, because she didn't know that topic. I said that is fine, if I could speak to Elizabeth. At this time she left me know that she had left for the day, because her child was sick. She had a fever. I asked Lilith if she had left further instructions on who would be reaching out to me. She said she wasn't sure. Earlier in the day I also spoke to Carey, the General Manager of the stores. I called her (both her an Elizabeth had my phone number), and asked what was going to be done, or if I would be hearing from Elizabeth. At this time she proceeded to tell me that Elizabeth had to take her daughter to the hospital because she had a 104 temperature. I said I can completely understand that, but that doesn't help the fact that I was not notified, and they had my numbers. She said that she spoke to the owner, a Ashwin Narayan, and I was offered at $25 in store credit to be used for services in the future. A $25 credit for over $200 worth of services that I paid a tutor for to have printed out and copied, I only brought it to the store to have bound. I was astonished. To be fair they kept asking how they could make it better, and I bluntly told them I was not sure. This was the only copy of the packet of notes, PowerPoints, and such. That I didn't have a clue. I reached out to my tutor, who I paid to put this together, and she said that she wouldn't be able to get it done by the start of school as she had personal issues. I thanked her. You would think that this would be enough, but no. When I was on the phone with Carey, she mentioned that this last year has been horrible for them. They have had a 60% turnover and they were short staffed. She also mentioned that they put staff out on the floor that was not fully trained. Yes, you read that right, NOT fully trained. She mentioned that she and her store managers were working overtime and trying to keep up. I let her know that that is how every company is, that I work in the medical field and it is worse for us. The lack of professionalism, care and attention to detail that this company has is astounding. To be promised that an employee would be there to help correct the issue, and then have them leave for family emergency, I can understand. However I was not notified. I would not recommend using any of the stores by Ashwin Narayan in the future. It is obvious that this company is not treating their employees correct if they have a 60% turnover rate, and also if they do not have any care to follow through on promises made by the employees. The lack of disregard for their customers content, having it be packages or packets to be bound, is astounding. read more

We went to this UPS store to use one of their copiers. We needed to make a color copy of an achievement certificate for framing and really wanted it to look good. We were immediately greeted when we entered the store; one of the employees walked over to us and, in a friendly professional manner, asked if we needed help. We explained what we needed and she assisted in making the copy we wanted. She even offered to supply a better quality of paper so we'd have a perfect result. Best customer service we've received in a while from practically any store - UPS or other. I'll be going back to make scans of some large format photographs. read more
