I like to keep my sanity when it comes to shipping anything. Plus I usually compare prices between UPS and FedEx to see who has the lowest prices- that way I'm not caught by surprise on the spot. Especially since I'm mailing my daughter more care packages to the West Coast. But this time, all I did was print a return label my daughter had emailed me to mail some sneakers to her and decided to come to this Ardsley location since it was closer to my previous job. Most of the reviews here point jabs at the owner- and I definitely saw it too. Even for my quick 2 minute stop, I did a double-take and personally remember his cut and dry demeanor about him. Transaction was quick though, but some acknowledgement from him is all people ask. I on the other hand, thanked him as any normal person should. And yes...I did hold on tight to my receipt- because you never know. And yes...my daughter's package arrived at her home fine. But if you're reading this Mr. Owner- no one is asking you to go out for a cocktail- a quick smile and a bit of warmness- goes a long way. read more

I had a pre-paid label that they just needed to scan and ship, package didn't have to be packed, but I had it in a box anyway to save time, I just didn't have it taped. If I could give this location 0 stars I would. They help you out with nothing, if you forget anything it's an issue. I ran home to print out a receipt instead of being charged $2 from the store. I came back with tape that they said wasn't good and asked me to buy there's for $3. I also asked them for a seat since I was having leg pains because of a surgery a month back and was told "no, no seat, just leave." Terrible service. Nasty attitude from the young Asian man with glasses. He began tapping his fingers as I was returning several items to be scanned for Amazon. A truly disappointing experience here that can ruin your day. I stopped by here with a shipping box, a book to send, and the labels printed out. I placed all the items in the box and asked the owner if he could tape it shut for me. He said there was no free tape available for customers and I had to buy a new roll. I asked about the rolls of shipping tape on the counter. He stated that they were not for customer use. I'll be taking my business elsewhere. Hello, my name is Ron and me and my wife was being helped by Oscar from UPS store located at 923 Saw Mill River Rd Ardsley, NY 10502. Oscar was very condescending in regards to a amazon package and how it was sent to me in the box provided. I explained to Oscar that this is how it was sent to me but he insisted on not helping me with this package and that I should just come back or go to another store to ship off the package. As my wife was leaving he didn't give her the receipt and when she asked for the receipt, he stated "you are going to need it" but in a very condescending way. I also looked up this store on here for reviews and see it has a 1.5 out of 5 stars , which now makes sense. This person needs to be fired or retrained. I dropped off a package to the UPS store location #2202. The package weighed 71 pounds. I am only 115 pounds, so I had my 75 year old Father help me load the air conditioner into and out of the car. I then had a trolley with me so I could easily roll it into the store. The Customer Service Representative was exceedingly rude. He was a young white male and he told me I needed to lift up the package and put it on his scale. I complied, picked it up 3 feet, put it on the scale. I received a Receipt. I was turning to leave the store and this Customer Representative told me I had to move the box off the scale to the front of the store with the other packages waiting to be picked up! I have never in all my years of shipping with UPS been told to do anything with a package once it was receipted. I complained to him, and he just laughed. I picked up the package as best I could put it by the others, effectively hurting my neck and lower back in the process. I then went back and asked to speak with a Supervisor. The two employees said he was not available. I then proceeded to let them know angrily that once they take responsibility for a package and issue a receipt it's their job to put it where they need to, it's not my job. The white male just kept laughing. I said, no UPS store behaves in this manner - he told me to go elsewhere then. I asked the other employee a Asian lady, the name of the white male, she wouldn't give it to me, saying today is his last day anyway. The boy continued to laugh. I asked her for the managers information, and she gave me a UPS business card, with zero information about the Manager. I had to ask her twice to give me his name, she said Chris Lim, and she has no other information about him. So a couple of issues here, after I was receipted that boy had no right to tell me to move the package to the front of the store. Thats not my responsibility. Number two, it seemed to be racist as he was helping all the white clients just fine. Number 3 there is no accountability as there is no Manager available. Absolutely abysmal store. There is a UPS store on McLean run by women, and they help people who are struggling as soon as you enter the store. What a difference a location makes. read more

Very nicely done. I needed a book copied and binded. Not only did they do it quickly, but it was so easy to do. I simply sent them an email of the book, and within the next few hours it was done! I have been dropping off packages at this UPS Store for years. I always have the packages taped up and labeled, so I never had much interaction with the owner, although I did notice that he has a nasty disposition. One day, earlier in the pandemic, I dropped off packages at this UPS Store, and didn't want to go inside due to possible virus exposure, so a young guy who works there was nice enough to come outside, take the boxes, and bring me the receipt. This week, I drove there, and the nasty owner came to the door, opened the door, and told me to go inside. I asked him if he would please take the small package, but he said no, that I had to go inside. I wasn't going to have any further discussion with this jerk, so I walked away. I will never go back to this UPS Store. I am shocked that such a horrible guy with such a bad attitude can stay in business. read more

The nice thing about this place is it saves me 10 minutes each way driving to the real UPS customer center in Elmsford. I dropped my package off at 4pm- the woman who checked my package in at the front counter was pleasant enough but when i checked online it turned out that my package didn't make it to the main branch in Elsmsford till the next evening at 6pm.... I should have trusted everyone else's feedback! I went into the UPS store to return 2 amazon packages, which Amazon had said should cost nothing. The owner, it seems, told me that I had to pay if I wanted to send them separately. I said I did not mind posting both in one box as Amazon had given only one refund slip. I remember a bad experience at this place from 2 years ago, but out of convenience we tried to use this store again to return an Amazon damaged-on-arrival low value item. Simple drop off with preprinted and prepaid label...what could go wrong? Well it was unpleasant from the 1st second. The owner was first rude with his "greeting", then he "recommended" is to buy new packaging from him. We politely declined and requested a tape. He said he wants $2 to use the tape. I now remembered it's the same rude owner from 2 years ago. Can't encourage such a jerk. We said no thank you and left. He acknowledged in a very rude way. Listen I get that we're still in a pandemic and I understand things can be frustrating. With that said as a job dealing in customer service you need to maintain your professionalism and kindness. I only come to this UPS because distance wise it's convenient and Amazon does free returns with them. I came here a few months ago and the young man working at the register was extremely rude and gave me an attitude about taping the box. Hate to break it to you, but you have a LONG career ahead of you so figure it out, bro. I usually would have thrown him into the box myself after being spoken to in the manner that I was but selfControl comes a long way. Today I returned and this time had the pleasure of being spoken to in a rude manner again, but this time it was by the older guy (possibly his father). The woman who works there has always been nice, but at the end of the day I usually have encounters with the rude guys who work there. I'm almost considering driving the extra few miles to another UPS store for my returns. I will definitely not use this store when shipping personal packages and paying out of pocket they will not get a dime out of me. If you guys who work at the store read this, learn some damn manners and appreciate and respect the customer. Especially when I've been friendly the entire encounter. The people that own this store are the nastiest people ever. I thought I was on candid camera. I was there twice and gave the first time the benefit of the doubt when they man told me that because I had a baby I didn't have to move the 30 pound boxes over to the desk. We had to ship a huge 9' by 12' and 140 lb rug. This was a crazy project and this store was SO helpful every step of the way. Both team members on site helped me and my two companions fold the rug up, find the right size box (needed two wardrobe boxes!) and then tape it all up securely. I can't say enough good things about the experience! Highly recommend. read more
