I have a membership that includes spray tanning only. When I first purchased the plan, it was unlimited. Then a couple of years ago they changed the rules. You could only go every three days. For over a month the spray tanning unit known as the versa spa was down and not working, which was a huge inconvenience. I made several calls and sent emails as well to Corporate never got a response. It was very inconvenient for me to go to the other location in normal. Now all of a sudden they have changed their hours to closing at 7 PM instead of 8 PM. I was not notified this also is very inconvenient. I realize the girls that work there don't have any decision making in this process or at least I don't think so. therefore, their corporate policies are extremely lacking for customer service. In fact I would say there is no customer service. I do not plan on being there past the current month. I am so very disappointed and inconvenienced and like I said I have put in phone calls and emails and never ever received a response of any kind from any person. The employees and management are extremely unprofessional. I have heard them gossiping about both customers and other employees. If you are a male I do NOT recommend coming here, if you are a married wife do not let your husband come here the managers will try to flirt with your husband and be creepy. They overwork their employees for minimum wage and have to work 8 hours with no breaks which is ILLEGAL by the way, and their Bluetooth beds almost never work. Way too overpriced for shitty service and and broken beds. Take your money to sun room or any other tanning salon. My girlfriend used to work here but had to walk out due to the disrespect from the managers. On July 10th I asked an employee if the facial tanner bulbs had been fixed in room 1 because....and she interrupted me by yelling and screaming "you don't come in here yelling at staff." Well I merely asked a question. I never once raised my voice. I never once yelled at anyone, let alone an employee. And I never once cursed at anyone. So this tirade of hers keeps going on and on and she then tells me "you need to calm down." I was just standing there this whole time. Like I said, I never raised my voice, yelled at anyone or cursed at anyone but I'm the one who needs to calm down. I looked at her and in a calm voice said "don't tell me to calm down." She's still yelling at me when I turn to the employee at the desk and say "cancel my subscription." And I walked out. The whole time she is still yelling at me. I contacted The Ultimate Tan via email, cause I couldn't get a manager on the phone. No one got back to me. I sent them a message via facebook and was told someone would call me in a couple of days. No one ever called. I stopped in at another location to tell them what happened and was told they would review the video. A month goes by and I still have not heard anything. So I emailed them again. They finally wrote back and said that I was the one yelling and cursing at staff. Well had they really watched said video, they would've seen who was doing the yelling and screaming and it certainly wasn't me. They said "well we talked to the employees and they said you yelled and cursed at them." No I didn't. They really need to watch that video again because I showed an extreme amount of restraint in my behavior when I was being verbally abused by one of their employees. For a business to blatantly lie about a situation is despicable. And to twist it around and put it on the customer is even worse. I will never come to this business. read more

Ultimate tan charged my account without authorization. I took it up with them and kept getting thrown from manager to manager who said they would try to refund me and would "hopefully get back to me in a few days. I heard that multiple times until someone told me I could not speak with a manager and when I asked when I could speak with a manager they could not tell me that. I am absolutely appauled that their service is so awful. I am just out the money due to their mistake with no recourse. I cannot recommend this place at all. read more

Staff is rude and hardly at the counter when you come in. It's the only place with the versa spray tan so I still go because of that. As for the versa spray tan, I love going! The room is clean! read more

I have been tanning here about a month, I'm not usually one to write a review but since I travel a lot for my work, I visit many tanning salons, this one, The Ultimate Tan is really not a very nice place, employees aren't trained to explain the the equipment very well, but then the equipment has seen better days, the rooms are hot, not well ventilated at all. I upgraded to a better package, by asking them which is one of your best beds for best color, with the least amount of time, I was upgraded to a old tanning bed, with burnt out bulbs, after that session I have decided to go else where read more

I have been a loyal customer at this location for a few years but froze my membership over the past year due to my being pregnant. My freeze was ending & I needed to either lengthen the freeze or cancel my membership because caring for a newborn would not currently allow me the time to tan. I called to see if I could do either of these things over the phone so that I didn't have to drag a newborn out but they said I would have to come in & sign something so I packed up the car & headed over. When I got to the shop I had to wait in a long line & when it was finally my turn I told the girl behind the counter what I was needing to do. She (quite curtly) informed me that since I was freezing my membership she would go ahead & help me but for 'future reference' they do not allow children inside the shop. She said that this is a state law but I have done extensive research on her statement and minors under the age of 14 are not permitted to use tanning equipment but I was obviously not trying to sign my infant up for a membership. I ended up cancelling my membership (mostly due to frustration)& only discovered after returning home that the cancellation notice I signed stated that all of the Ultrabronze tans & upgrades I have purchased are now voided. I had over $100 worth of tans sitting in my account & the girl did not mention this to me. I realize that it is my responsibility to read anything I sign but a business providing good customer service would make their customer aware of this. What an awful experience. read more

This has to be one of the rudiest, untrained, unprofessional, unfriendly group of people working all in one place. Hard to imagine. The room was unsanitary and the bed had not been wiped off. I had to put my clothes back on to get the timer started, as three girls chatted behind the counter and were on their IPhones.They were not trianed as to the policies....gave out inaccurate information.....were just a hot MESS. I would not recommmend this salon to anyone! What an awful experience. Please read over your mission statement clearly framed and posted on your wall. You need to hire a better grade of help. I have never been to a tanning salon where they had no fans was hot in the whole place..To hot to lay in a bed but i guess the owner saves money that way..I will never go back to this one again spend over 150 on tans and to hot to use them..if you ask staff a question they have a stupid look on their face..if this is a franchise i would pull it from the prospect road owner before she runs the name into the ground read more

I was charged $80 for a lotion that runs $38 online. It a shame they take advantage of customers that way, but i have learned my lesson. Hopefully my tip will help save somebody else some cash. Otherwise its clean and the staff is pleasant enough. read more
