I have been going to Rosie (the owner) at Razorz Edge for many years now. Her salon is VERY clean,…read moreher staff always seems to be well liked by their clientele, and the prices are excellent. What you will not find at Razorz Edge is the snobby atmosphere of other salons here in BloNo (for real....this is BloNo not Park Avenue) and you won't find the hyper inflated prices for a haircut either. Razorz Edge also features several (very clean) tanning beds and nail services for the ladies or the cosmopolitan gentleman. The salon is a bit off the beaten path by you can easily access it by exiting Veterans Parkway onto South Main Street and turning right at the Dairy Queen (everyone....and I mean....EVERYONE in BloNo know where that is). If you want an appointment with Rosie you're going to wait, but besides that they seem to do a brisk walk-in business and I've never seen anyone leave dissatisfied. I'm picky about my hair and I've been coming here for years. Give it a try.

I've been trusting my hair to Aja at Elevation The Salon for eight years. I find her always willing…read moreto listen to what I'm looking for, and offer suggestions on cut and color that work. I really enjoy the way they approach washing your hair. They treat it like an experience rather than a task. All this takes place in a separate room with dimmed lighting and often soothing music. It is a great environment to relax, and the scalp massage takes it over the top! Over the years, both my daughters have seen the results of my experience at the salon and started going to Elevation as well. This was quite a feat as my girls have curly hair and bad experiences with other salons made them hesitant to try yet someone else new. They've both been real pleased with their experiences too. Aja as well as Gena are at least two stylists at the salon who know how to work with naturally curly hair which is a plus. Great atmosphere, experience, and styles makes it a smart idea for Elevation to be your salon of choice.

The quality is not as good as my former stylist or the stylist that filled in for her at Finishing Touch. However, I am getting old, live out of town, and have had health problems. I asked my stylist for a simple trim. I showed her a photo of a girl with medium length hair. When…read moreshe said she was done, it looked much longer than the picture I showed her (and it looked bad) and I decided to go with a different cut, I thought it would help. I showed her an exact photo of the length I wanted. She chopped off all my hair, didn't blend or incorporate any layers, which made my hair at my ears in length, and in turn, made my hair feel and look chunky and awful. My hair is gone! She just kept cutting. I walked into Jenny's salon and Spa, and said "help me" and the girls reaction was "oh my gosh, what happened." I should have known the stylist wasn't confident in her abilities, she kept second guessing herself, had to focus on each cut she made to the point she couldn't carry on a conversation, and it took forever. I told the owner how bad my experience was and I asked for her help to fix it, she said she couldn't help me. I was charged $47 plus $35 (plus tip) to go to Jenny's and get it fixed. A total of $88! Very disappointed. Luckily the talented people at Jenny's were able to help as much as they could. I will never go to Jennifer Harmon at Envy again. This all resulted from wanting a basic hair cut and blending of layers. Not complicated stuff.
