I can't say enough positive things about my wedding hair and makeup services at Girl Friday. They fit us in at the last minute and were so kind and professional. My airbrush makeup held up the entire day and barely even came off when I took a shower! It was an entirely outdoor, August wedding so this is no small feat! My hair was also gorgeous and exactly what I was looking for. I get so many compliments on both when others see pictures from the wedding day. My mother and sister also loved their makeup and false lashes. I went to get a spray tan and did their air brush tanning. It was amazing!!! Stacy is the sweetest gal and I was so comfortable there. We just talked the whole time about school and life. Somewhat satisfied with my hair, not satisfied at all by the service provided. I had an appointment with Lindsey. She seemed nice on the phone. However she was almost 40 min late for the appointment and during our appointment, she took a phone call from who I assumed was a boyfriend, and was screaming at him and using foul language and being very disrespectful. I was apalled When she finished her phone call she put me under the dryer and left me there while she went outside. She came back in smelling like a perfume factory and a pack of lucky strikes. Also she seemed kinda out of it. Night and day difference from before she went outside. Definitely not the salon experience I was told about. I give my hair 3 stars and the service 1. Very unprofessional. I hope that girl gets herself together. read more

We used Girl Friday to do everyone's hair and makeup for my sister's wedding. Her local sister-in-law did all the research and made arrangements for everyone so I'm not sure how they compare to other salons in the area, but it seemed that their pricing for doing everyone's hair at our hotel suite was really fair compared to other places in town. Katie and Deanna did our hair for the wedding and both of them were great to work with. My sister was really happy with her advance trial with Katie and everything turned out great for the wedding day. She got exactly what she wanted both times. Stephanie did all of our makeup and also did a great job. Most of us don't wear tons of makeup and wanted natural but defined looks that would last all day and we all walked away really happy. I felt like my makeup really did last and keep me looking great from 9am until the party ended at 1am! Having them come to us on the wedding day made things so much easier and convenient given our busy day and tight schedule. I would definitely use them again for my wedding if it was nearby! All three ladies were really lovely to work with and created a relaxing environment for us in our hotel suite that morning. read more

My husband's coworker referred me to this great little salon, and I'm so glad she did. I don't have enough great things to say about this place! I had my hair trimmed and styled for my wedding by one of their stylists. We had two trial appointments and she came to my venue on the day of the wedding - every interaction we had was successful, efficient and fun. My husband had his wedding haircut done by another stylist and he looked great. The women at Girl Friday are fun, and I loved the house location. The icing on the cake was when my stylist made manicure appointments for me when my previously made appointments fell through. This kind of personal and thoughtful attention is what will keep me coming back to Girl Friday. I wouldn't go anywhere else! read more

We had a terrible experience with Wendy at girl Friday. Long story short, I have a son with sensory processing disorder and Epilepsy. Haircuts are hard! However, having long hair is also hard for him as it bugs him when it touches his ears. He had a hair dresser we used pre-covid. She was great. After using her for a long time she really calmed my son down and haircuts weren't so bad. She was not cutting hair all through covid. So someone suggested Wendy. The first couple of time were good. Haircuts are not as frequent because of covid and they have become difficult once more. Please keep in mind Wendy was fully aware and we had a conversation before we ever brought him into her salon. She said no big deal, she's cut kids of all types. The last time we were in she seemed kind of annoyed. We got though his cut. This time, she was just flat out rude. She told my son, who is 4 that he stresses her out. Again, this was all discussed before we took her on as a stylist. Then she proceeded to tell him, "when my daughter is bad we make her stand in a corner, should we do that to you"? Um, what? I kept trying to calm him, he picks up on energy really well and he could tell she wasn't being nice. She refused to cut him with out a cape which has again, always been a thing. He for sure doesn't enjoy the hair on him but I bring extra clothing. I finally decided just to go and let her know we discussed this prior to taking her on. I get it, no one likes cutting a child's hair who does not enjoy it, but don't accept the appointment. It's already stressful for both parents and child with SPD, but it's completely gut wrenching when someone makes you feel so bad. He isn't a bad kid, he is just afraid, picks up on bad energy and needs a little guidance and reassurance with change and new experiences. To say I'm appalled by her behavior today is an understatement. When we got in the car to leave, my son said she just wasn't nice. He was right. I do not recommend Wendy or Girl Friday at all. read more

The place has the friendliest atmosphere, they do hair, facials, and the jewelry that is sold their is hand made by Stacy which is beautiful, and personal . Yes the shop is cute and inviting and the girls are friendly but, my last two appointments were cancelled by the stylist at the last moment. One being the Memorial day holiday weekend. So I suggest if you want to make an appointment with Girl Friday you might want to call and make sure you're really going to be seen. After the second cancellation in a row I took my business elsewhere. There is nothing worse than looking forward to your hair appointment, especially when you really need it and you are cancelled two hours prior to your appointment. I would say that's not a very good way to keep clients. read more
