Totally disappointed. Placed order through Telefloral. I was later informed that they did not have the arrangement I ordered but I was assured by Telefloral that I would get a comparable arrangement. Not only did that not happen but it was two days late. Unacceptable. I contacted Telefloral and was told how sorry they were and I would be refunded $17.98 ( the service charge). I ordered a flower arrangement through Teleflora for Mother's Day, which was sent to The Tulip Tree to fulfill. But instead of the bright purple and green orchid arrangement I ordered, mom received an arrangement of succulents. Not exactly bad, but not exactly what I was going for either. I called The Tulip Tree the next morning and spoke with Laura. We figured out the mixup, and it turns out that both arrangements have "Zen" in the name and one was mistaken for the other. Being a busy week in the flower business it's understandable that mistakes can happen. What's more important is how they're addressed. Laura promised to take care of it and get a replacement sent out. Mom received the replacement later the same day, with an apology from the delivery driver about the mistake. I am sorry there are no negative stars . to say we are disappointed would be an understatement, we have ordered flowers for our CM's Birthday today and this pitiful arrangement of mostly wilting flowers arrived . I am sorry but 90 + dollars worth of flowers should never look like this . So we reached out to the shop and were told that due to the difficulties from receiving the flowers from Ecuador the flowers are sometimes less than fresh ??? Excuse me how is that the paying customers problem ? So the shop agreed to replace the bouquet to replace it with an even smaller , not at all what was portrayed on the picture bouquet . My boyfriend ordered me flowers for Valentine's Day this year and I was not disappointed and neither was he! He later told me that the staff was super friendly! He even ordered me some chocolate from there.. Mmmm :) There was all kinds of heart shaped chocolates in there with a few Ghirardelli's thrown in! I purchased an arrangement online from Tulip Tree from here in Seattle to be sent to my mother in Phoenix for her retirement. My dad sent me a picture of them upon arrival, and they looked great! I also received good customer service (a nice lady called to clarify some details of my order and make sure it was what I wanted), and for the price I paid including delivery it was an awesome arrangement. I have been very impressed with the Tulip Tree on a number of occasions! I worked with Judy on my wedding flowers and she did an amazing job! Although I had an idea of what I wanted, I wasn't sure of types of flowers exactly or what would look best with the design of my dress and colors, etc. She asked me a bunch of questions (she obviously has done this a LOT!) and then went to work. The results were stunning! I was so pleased! On another occasion, I asked them to provide flowers to decorate a stage for one of my clients for a business conference and again, the results were wonderful! Sue from the Tulip Tree did the floral arrangements for my wedding a few weeks back and they were just MAGNIFICENT!!!! She really listened to me during the initial consultation, and she absolutely delivered an even better version of my initial vision. NUMEROUS guests commented to me how amazing the flowers were, and I'm still receiving compliments weeks later because the flowers really were so impressive! I live in NYC and have pretty high standards as to what I think is in style and what I feel has been "over done" and I have to say, Sue has an amazing and very tasteful eye and she actually steered me toward a vision that was WAY better than the initial ideas I had in mind. I even showed Sue some photos of this amazing floral artist here in NYC called Ovando (google them, they are amazing, totally modern and SUPER expensive floral arrangements. Perhaps not everyone's taste but I really love the avante garde look) Sue took one look at the Ovando photos and said, "I can do that!" She absolutely delivered on her promise, thus giving me the super unique look I dreamed about, for a fraction of the cost. She also worked very closely with my mom since I don't live nearby, and she regularly kept us updated by creating mock ups to help us envision the larger picture. She had lots of other useful tips for other ways to cut costs (i.e. when/where to buy vases for 40% off, and which flowers we could substitute in place of the uber expensive flowers that were in the pictures I initially brought in.) She also did the flowers for the cake, and I just could NOT be happier with the way that looked as well! SOOOO glad we went with The Tulip Tree, and I can't say enough wonderful things about Sue. So here is the thing about this awful place. I called and ordered peonies for my August wedding. Over the phone she said oh they will be beautiful and big so you'll only need 5. That's great I said. I go in the day before my wedding and they are tiny and brownish (dead basically) and she tried to say they arnt in season. Ok well that's not what you said on the phone! DO NOT USE!!! The Tulip Tree did not provide professional customer service, their manager (Sue) was rude and not patient. I also wanted to buy a specific item, but could not find what I was looking for. The staff was rushed and not interested in what I truly wanted to buy. I ordered flowers for my mother's birthday. The flowers were scheduled to arrive at 1:00PM, they actually arrived 3 hours late and did not get their in time for the event. When I asked for a refund, the manager refused and said that everything was delivered according to schedule. The flowers were half dead and the service was not professional. I would avoid them at all cost! Call around before you spend a dime at this store. I found another shop in Sun City (Sun City Florists Cards and Gifts) that I have used since and their flowers are fresh, elegant, exotic, and always meet my expectations! I ordered flowers for Mother's Day through Phoenix Flower Shop who apparently contracted The Tulip Tree to complete the order since it was out of PFS new delivery boundaries. They charged us an 18 dollar deliver charge (we normally pay 13 with Phoenix Flower Shop). I ordered week's in advance to make sure that the flowers I wanted would be ordered and available. I ordered a spring bouquet that was to include roses, my mom's flowers were delivered and were an arrangement of carnations and lilies. The bouquet basically looked like a $14.95 arrangement from Safeway not the much more expensive arrangement I had picked out and expected. I called Phoenix Flower Shop on Monday to find out what on earth happened and they told me that they no longer deliver to Surprise and now contract all the orders out to other florist. Lucky me... They apologized and said they would contact the other shop and have a new arrangement delivered to my mom the following Thursday. Thursday came and went and no delivery was made. I called PFS today to find out what the issue was they called The Tulip Tree and determined in the "processing" that the Tulip Tree that the re-order was never picked up by them. Truly disappointed all around both with The Tulip Tree and with Phoenix Flower Shop. I did tell them they have lost my business after 16 yrs, of ordering flowers for my mom since I know now that they contract out. read more

I called the Tulip Tree at 5:00pm from out of state on Tuesday for two arrangements for a last minute memorial service for my dear aunt on Wednesday at noon. The staff was efficient and helpful and didn't bat an eye at my request (except to inform me that they would obviously be limited to flowers on hand). I selected the arrangements from the web site, with some minor substitutions based on availability which were fully explained by the staff, and by accounts of my other family members the flowers they delivered (early!) exceeded the description. I couldn't be more pleased and I will return to Tulip Tree when I visit my family on the West side.
