I came across this place during the Jeff Park Street Fest. While I only bought a candle this time, I would consider buying everything in the store when I stop by again. I walked in expecting to maybe grab a small…read moreplant... and walked out with an awesome variegated Ficus that kept screaming at me to take it home. (Seriously, I think it was screaming, "You need me.") The selection here is top-tier--healthy, vibrant plants that look like they get better self-care than I do. But the real highlight? The incredibly friendly staff, especially Maddie who made me feel like a VIP plant Dad. She answered my million questions, didn't judge me for already having too many houseplants (her words, not mine), and hyped me up about that Ficus like I had just adopted a rare exotic pet. Will I be back? Absolutely. Will my wallet cry? Probably. But I don't care.

They also have a special room on the side for rarer specimens that seem really well cultivated. This place is also a VIBE! It has a jungle tropical feel filled with neon signs. And the owners walked us through all the options for a lovely house warming gift, telling us about all the lighting and watering needs of each one. We couldn't recommend this place enough!

When you walk in, it's full of gorgeous decor and plenty of plants, true to their namesake. There is a lot of places for people to come in and take photos, read, buy books, and enjoy the atmosphere. The price was equal to what you'd pay at a big book store chairs (so why not support local!). They also have a selection of used books that are greatly discounted. The person that was working when I went in, was very kind and gave us some recommendations, and also talk to us about our day. Where's the negative star option?…read more Wow - quite possibly the worst customer service I've ever experienced. Called to get a quote on Gerber daisies - a woman answered the phone, "Hi, I'm wondering if you carry Gerber daisies?" to which she responds rudely, "I'm sure we do, but you'd have to talk to someone in sales." Wouldn't you just say, "Sure, let me get you to the right department?" Anyway... So I'm transferred and a second woman says, "Hello?" hello? I repeat my question exactly and she says, "Yes." Yes, that's it - nothing else. *crickets* So I finally ask what the per stem cost is and she says, "Who is this?" Exsqueeze me? I baking powder? I asked her if this is how they talk to their customers and she said, "Yes it is." Their mission statement, BTW, is "Amato Wholesale Flower is committed to improving our customer's experience." Yup. And I'm the freaking Queen of England.
