I bought a Yard/Ton Of arena sand…read more Apparently you sell it by the ton rather than by the yard because if you wet it down in the evening the excess moisture around the pile evaporates by the time you open in the morning. I drive my truck on to the scale the guy loading me only dumped 1/2 the 1 yard bucket before leaving to top off the bucket only to again dump 1/2 the bucket in my truck. I get back home to remove the sand from my truck by backing up fast and slamming on the brakes to get the sand to start sliding out the back the sand has soo much water in it that nothing moved. I go back to Earthworks and talk to the assistant manager about this and ask for 10% off my bill and he tells me that all other suppliers in the area sell sand by weight not volume and he's not going to help me. Well since I'm up losing sleep over this and letting you know before I call the Arizona Department of weights and measures this morning at 8AM. It wasn't a big purchase Hell I had you guys deliver all my driveway rock for my property. After this I will never go back there for anything.

When I came in to exchange it with the receipt I was told by the Manager (Ray) that they did not have 1/2" in stock. Okay fine, I said. Please issue a refund for the tubing I was returning. Then he said that they did not carry the brand I was trying to return. Obviously, they did because I bought it 2 days ago off their shelf, the cashier rang up the sale and gave me a receipt. I had the receipt. The receipt showed 1/4" inch tubing, 100'. This was entered incorrectly by the cashier when I purchased it. Ray proceeded to tell me about how it was wrapped in plastic and they don't do that with their tubing. He then told me it had the wrong kind of label on it, that they don't use that label. He then told me that they don't carry that size. Obviously, he was inferring that I didn't buy the tubing from their store. Interestingly, Ray was doing something on the isle when I bought the tubing 2 days earlier and we spoke briefly. I reminded him of that. The cashier said that they would honor it, but that wasn't the point. Ray made it sound like I was trying get away with something.......in front of 2 other customers. It was insulting and embarrassing at the same time. For a lousy $11 of tubing. I'm a Chino Valley resident and have been going to that store for over 7 years. I was treated like I was being dishonest. I will NEVER go back there.

I found myself looking at a used bow that was reasonably priced and ended up talking with both Isaiah and Mark about it. Although not too knowledgeable on bows, both gentlemen trusted me to tell them anything I could about it (ie, Repairs needed, Pricing of others similar to it, etc). At the end of the day, Mark and I were able to work out a deal with me leaving the shop with a "new" bow and red dot sight at a reasonable price! Cory and Shanti always have a great variety of whatever is in season or what can be grown in their greenhouses! Everything is so fresh! With a couple of storage tips from sites like stilltasty.com, the produce from here can last for weeks! They also have the best tomatoes and roasted chilies when the season calls for it! One year when they were at the Flagstaff Market, Flagstaff Chef John Conley brought Guy Fieri to the market as he was filming for "Guys Family Road Trip." It was just awesome to see Cory and Shanti being interviewed. Our friends and family got a kick seeing us in the background on the show! Right now they have dried flowers, but when in season, they have the most beautiful fresh flowers that last, last, last! Many varieties as well!
