WW required payment in full prior to the trip, so travelers had to trust the company to provide the amazing trip they advertised. On their website WW claims to specialize in a unique concept of "standard accommodation" with 5 star reviews. We stayed in low budget hotels for 7 nights. We spent 3 of those nights in a hotel that was more like a 60 year old hostel. The bathrooms were musty and had no shower curtain, the sheets had holes, the rooms were cold and the thermostats did not work properly. Breakfast was to be included at each hotel. What a joke! At the second hotel breakfast was cold bread, hard boiled eggs, a banana and yogurt. Nothing hot was offered. WW markets its services to clients by promising educational trips with a fully guided tour, yet a tour guide was not hired for the Acropolis, the most important archeological site in all of Greece. People were disappointed. We were told, by Simone, to google sites on our smart phones and then take turns guiding our fellow travelers through Athens. Most of our activities were freebies meant to fill our time. One day we drove to the top of a mountain and stood under a modern windmill. Simone said it would be thrilling - I was not thrilled. When I got home, I researched the cost of hotels, car rental, and the three meals WW provided. I discovered I could have booked this trip myself for $1,575 less than what Wanderlust/Wanderlearn charged. Simone provided the cheapest trip possible and greatly profited from her clients. I feel cheated.

I first contacted Brandon via email to inquire on what I could do to get my rate back down. After a few days, I called and left a voice message. several days later he got back to me (over a week total) and said we needed to wait to get closer to the auto renew date on my policy before we could do anything. Once that happened I reached out again via email. No response. I called and left a voicemail a week later - no response. I called several days later again and still no response. I then called the safeco 800 number and got to someone who was able to answer a few simple questions for me - took all of 5 minutes. Long story short I shopped for another insurance vendor and saved myself almost $200 on the same exact policy through Mr Brandon/AAA/safeco. To be honest, had Brandon gotten back to me with any response at all, I probably would have renewed even at the higher rate just out of convenience - however because Brandon chose not to respond to my simple inquiry, I decided to spend my $$ with another company. Bad customer service has its consequences. Hopefully this feedback will not go unnoticed.

I tried to start my 2020 Hyundai Tucson, when everything flickered. The vehicle failed to start,…read moreso I called AAA's Battery Service. The Tech came out, tested the battery and said it was good. He stated this would most likely be the alternator. Because of this, I had it towed to Columbia Hyundai, where I purchased it, which was $59.00. Columbia Hyundai had to do a diagnostic before anything else, which was $128.00. After their diagnostic was finished, they found it was the battery. They replaced the battery for $259.45. All together, I was out $446.45, because of AAA's misinformation. My wife contacted AAA and was told she or I would receive an email of the reimbursement form page to submit. We never did. I called AAA to find out what was going on and was contacted by "Member Relations" Agent. During this time, I was in the middle of a project for my building and had a hard time concentrating on the call. Long story short: The Member Relations Agent asked me to tell her what happened and I did. She then proceeded to ignore everything I had said, refused to reimburse me for anything, and said she would credit my account to renew for next year. Again, I was working on a project while she fast talked her way through this. I didn't think about what she had done, until I got home and realized I had been taken advantage of. This is AAA, and if anything, they are well known for watching out for people...not taking advantage of them. The misinformation they provided me, cost me $446.45 and they refuse to take responsibility. I was without my vehicle for 3 days and money. This isn't the AAA I had known through all my times I, my family or parents had been members of. I cannot with good conscience recommend AAA to anyone after what happened to me.
