I have been a client at The Train Station for almost six years and can not imagine working out anyplace else. The trainers are the best, the atmosphere absolutely inviting, and not intimidating at all. Best of all is the wonderful community of women that make up both the staff and clients at The Train Station. Oh, and I guess I should mention, these half-hour workouts really work. I've lost weight, gained strength and confidence, learned how to eat cleaner and make overall better food choices, and just can't wait to get to my three times a week workouts. Kim has been my trainer off* and on for the past several (maybe 5?) years. I'm not overweight, but I wanted some one on one attention in the weight training department and I didn't want the big gym experience. I'm actually a member at a local club where I go for cardio and also do some strength training on my own, but I liked having a more private training session like what was offered at the Train Station. (I mentioned off* because I've had two kids, and after both births, I did take a break from working out because I couldn't juggle it right after the births.). I love how on time their sessions are. All the trainers are super knowledgeable, they care about their clients and they push us (without going crazy!) I came here because I was getting back into shape after back surgery, and they have worked with me to get me strong and moving. It has been wonderful! I came to The Train Station in it's first year - about 20 years ago. What is profound about the philosophy that owner Liz Zamadics has is that moving the body helps to move the mind and heart. The best training facility for women (or perhaps anyone, but only women can participate ;)), hands down! I have been coming for almost ten years and have found nothing better or even comparable in the Houston area. I love the Train Station. The trainers are excellent. Before I found this wonderful place I was way off balance (didn't even realize it) and my strength level was minimal. Today, I am so much stronger, and balance is amazingly better. I started to see a real difference after the first month. This gym is for women only and non-intimidating. It doesn't matter what shape you are in everyone at the gym is supportive and encouraging. This was really important to me for I needed lots of work, and still do! I've been a client at The Train Station for 1.5 years. It is the best decision I've ever made. I've tried several other avenues, but this works best for me. I have been working out at the Train Station at least three days a week since 2006. All of the trainers are highly competent. There is a great vibe at the Train Station that comes from the pro-women trainers and clientele. It is so nice to walk in the door and have a plan ready for you. Personal attention with great trainers in a wonderful old home that has been converted to an exercise studio. It is so convenient in its location. What more could anyone ask for. They are adept at helping everyone from those with no physical problems to those who have had injuries or may be coming back from surgery. For the past 8 years I have worked out at the Train Station. Nothing has ever worked for me before. My dress size is now 2 smaller, my figure has a great shape, and though I didn't need to lose much weigh, even with the added muscle, I lost 8 pounds. I use to fall and trip a lot but I now have great balance and the strength to catch myself if I do trip. All of this is due to the wonderful trainers who have become great friends.
