I hate to have to right this review but not sure what my options are at this point. I've been coming here for a few years since I moved to the East Bay, and have had a great experience every time. I've probably seen the same 2-3 therapists and had no issues booking them both times. It is pricey but I think it's more so the lack of options they have for lymphatic massages in the East Bay as well as beauty services in general. However, it's definitely a treat. Flash forward to earlier this year, I got a gift card for Mother's Day, and waited to schedule my massage before our trip to Hawaii in June. Unfortunately, they reached out canceling the appointment and did not offer any options for rescheduling. Now the to issue that has prompted this review is that you absolutely CANNOT GET A HOLD OF ANYONE! I have called, left several voice messages, emails, tried texting and I refuse to drive 35 mins just to reschedule my appointment from May. It's ridiculous. I keep getting the automated emails that invite you back in to reschedule however it requires you to pay in full for your appointment, which I don't want to do since I have a gift card. So I'm stuck here leaving this review because with the prices they charge customers, their service definitely needs improvement. read more

I booked an appointment about 2 months in advance for February 12th. I was going out of town and was really looking forward to the massage, which I pre-paid for. On February 7th I got an email saying the appointment was cancelled, with no reason and no offer to refund my money. They never called. I called twice, no one ever answered and no one ever responded to my voicemail. Now I'm trying to get a refund. We'll see how that goes. read more

I scheduled two massages for me and my friend on a Friday morning since that's all that was available. We took the morning off work and were excited to come. The night before, I receive a text message that the technician is sick and they'll need to reschedule. I responded that it was fine and to go ahead and refund me. I got a 90 min lymphatic massage with Shivani and she was amazing! It was similar to a deep tissue massage but with a machine that suctions and pushes the lymph out. I could see and feel results immediately. I normally don't like it when people massage my face but Shivani used a gua sha tool and it felt nice, I really liked her technique. My friend goes religiously to the one in studio city so I wanted to give it a try. I've done treatment and it was fine but I tried to book another and that's where the "fun" began. Less than thirty minutes before my appointment they needed to cancel on me... mind you I live far. Then I finally re-book because I need to use these sessions before they expire and they need to adjust my appointment time. Why is not offered on the website booking not actually available? This is a bit frustrating and leaves disappointment in the overall experience. I love the Tox so much and feel really great every time I come out of the massage. The last time going I came out with bruises everywhere. I definitely recommend telling your massage therapist to take a little easier if it's your first time because it's a pretty painful process. If I could give zero stars for customer service, I would. Came to my appointment today and asked Shivani if she could please wear a mask during the facial portion as I have a newborn baby at home. And I said that for the remainder of the appointment I would have happily worn a mask and she could remove hers. I was told no, she is going by county guidelines and would not wear a mask. Again, I said I understand however I have a baby and I would feel more comfortable if she would please wear one for the 15-20 minutes where she is working directly on my face. There was zero understanding, or any sort of customer service, something along the lines of "I understand where you are coming from, however why don't we change your appointment to work solely on the body and remove the facial services entirely." I would have been happy with that, any sort of understanding! I was so shocked, not solely by her response as I understand masks are not for everyone, but also by the lack of effort/initiative to come to a solution. It was a blatant disregard for my concerns and an absolute lack of customer service and initiative. And this is after they charged me $305 for the services. When I asked for a refund, again nothing. I drove 45 minutes there, 45 minutes back, and was charged $305 for services I did not receive. Not a single apology, how can we make this up to you, what can we do to fix this, NOTHING! I have been coming here for over a year, but my husband and I will not come back to place where customers are not respected and are treated as though they do not matter matter. read more

Wow! Under the other ownership this place was a gem! Now is comparable to a foot massage place or worst. This is a lymphatic massage salon, right! So you need to drink water before and after. Well, when I ask for water they look at each other like I was asking for an expresso! They said no we do not have any water!! Really???? They used to give you water as soon as you step in and out! The previous owner removed furniture and decoration so it is like they have been robbed! Nothing was replaced or redecorated. I paid long ago a package that includes face and body. Of course they said it will be only body. They tried to sell what was part of the treatment before, the lotion with caffeine. The therapist, Victoria was very sweet. Not bad considering she started doing this in January . By text I asked several time to get someone with experience since I was always treated by Donna, Goddess of the lymphatic massage, they said Rachel will do it that has experience but I got Victoria. They called me to say I was late. I told them no that I was not but they insist. Once there they apologize because I was right. It was such a beautiful place and everyone so professional! I had the pleasure of getting a Master Tox done by Rachel. She was very adamant on giving me a full relaxing treatment along with making sure that all of my stress points were taken care of properly. After the experience I made sure to drink lots of water in order for all of the toxins to flush out of my body. I had Donna as my therapist. Received the facial and master Tox. Incredible experience. I had no idea what to expect but it was so worth it. She stared with the facial which is more of a face massage. Working along the jawline into the neck. Ending with a caffeine mask. She then moved to the body Tox. Different from a regular massage in the sense that the pressure point is more general to an area. They also use a light suction machine to help move fluid as well but it is 90% hand treatment. This is not knot (haha) focused but rather flushing of an entire area. Absolutely incredible feeling of regeneration of each area. The abdomen area is probably where most might get uncomfortable. Just ask for pressure reduction if needed. Also- embrace the possibility of feeling like you may pass some gas or hear noises. But knowing all that stuff stuck in your gut is being gently moved through is worth it. I had immediate results. It's an investment that will triple in return. Booked myself an appointment after seeing a friend post them multiple times. Wanted to treat myself. I booked a Master Tox and facial. I've been doing gua sha on myself for years now and I honestly didn't feel like the facial at The Tox did much. The only thing that felt great with the facial was the facial sheet mask, but you can get it anywhere. Now when it comes to the lymphatic massage. The table is warm so that's no an issue, but the lotion was FREEZING! I wish there was some way to have warmed it up, even if the masseuse had just rubbed it into her hands to warm it up. Something! I got chills from how cold it was. The lymphatic massage was great! But when it came to the machine, my goodness. It's definitely 95% masseuse and 5% machine, but that 5% is brutal. And I have a high pain tolerance! (18 piercings and 8 tattoos!) Another con would be that the area where the massages are down is pretty much in an open area. The only thing separating you and the person next to you is a curtain and you can hear everything. I don't know about you, but when I'm doing my self care treatments, I'd like to do it in a relaxing environment and not have to hear gossip. And lastly, I was not aware that I would have swollen lymph nodes post massage. I had a huuuge swollen lymph node on my neck and another on my groin. I wish that would've been mentioned because I didn't even put two and two together until a couple of days after I noticed them. read more

The person at the front desk was very rude and got upset that I didn't book a second session. I also never received the pictures they took of me, very disappointed.
