The employee we dealt with was extremely rude and had a noticeable attitude toward us. She seemed hesitant to help us and made the entire experience uncomfortable. It was especially disappointing because we had six other kids who were excited to come back and shop there as well. Unfortunately, because of the way we were treated, we will not be returning. We are more than happy to spend our money elsewhere. Customer service makes a huge difference, especially when you have children who are excited to visit and enjoy the experience.

A Dress Change

4.1(74 reviews)

Stay away from this business…read more My wife consigned a designer two-piece outfit from Paris at A Dress Change. The outfit originally cost approximately $400 and had only been worn twice because it was too small. The consignment agreement was that it would be listed for $140, and if it did not sell within one year, the owner was supposed to contact my wife so she could decide whether to reduce the price, have it donated, or pick it up. We were never contacted. After 18 months, my wife called three separate times and left messages, but Jonni, the owner, who calls the shots never returned a single call. We then went to the store in person. The clerk, who was very kind and professional throughout this ordeal, initially told us the item had been donated. She wasn't able to confirm exactly what happened but promised she would have Jonni call us. Once again, Jonni never contacted us. When we returned to the store, we were told that the outfit had actually been sold and that we could pick up a check on Thursday. We came back on Thursday only to be told that Jonni writes checks on the third Friday of the month, so we had to wait another two weeks. We returned on the third Friday, and once again there was no check. The clerk was visibly upset and apologetic, saying the check would be available the following week. After multiple trips to the store, numerous unanswered phone calls, conflicting information about what happened to our merchandise, and months of frustration, we finally received a check for only $36. My biggest concern isn't the amount of money--it's the complete lack of communication and professionalism. We were never contacted as required by the agreement, our calls were ignored, we received contradictory explanations about whether the item had been donated or sold, and we had to repeatedly visit the store just to get answers. The clerk did everything she could, but the owner was essentially unreachable throughout the entire process. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend consigning valuable clothing here. I will also be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau because I believe businesses should honor their agreements and communicate honestly with their customers.

I am extremely disappointed with the lack of professionalism at this salon. I booked a facial two weeks in advance and even took the day off from work, excited for some much-needed relaxation. However, just an hour before my appointment, I received an email stating that they needed to cancel due to a double booking through ClassPass. No phone call, no apology--just a curt email informing me of the conflict. I called and left a message, hoping to reschedule or at least get some clarification, but I never received a call back. This is simply unacceptable. Wasting a client's time and failing to follow up shows a serious lack of respect and consideration. If this is how they treat their clients, I can't imagine how they manage their services. I won't be attempting to book here again. read more

BEWARE, not a trustworthy business!…read more My wife took our son to Makayla for an "acne boot camp" treatment on 11/30/24, during which Makayla recommended Face Reality brand products for him to use. We trusted her recommendation, and my wife paid in full for the products that day, as Makayla claimed she would place the order immediately. However, my wife did not receive any order confirmation from Makayla via email or text, which is standard protocol. But my wife trusted her. A week passed, and the products never arrived. My wife reached out to her multiple times for an update, but she completely ignored her inquiries. A week later, Makayla finally texted my wife to say the company's website was back up and that she would place the order. This contradicts her previous claim that the order was already supposed to have been placed on 11/30/24. She then asked for our home address again for delivery, which my wife provided. To make matters worse, Makayla claimed she had given my wife the wrong total and that the price was now higher than the original amount of $197. My wife went to the Face Reality website to confirm the cost of the six products Makayla allegedly ordered and found they totaled exactly $196. She shared this with Makayla, who then admitted she had ordered a professional size by mistake. This was yet another excuse that lacked credibility. When my wife requested confirmation of the order placement and an estimated delivery time, once again, there was no response from Makayla. She vanished for days without any communication. Unsurprisingly, the products did not arrive, and Makayla ignored multiple texts and phone calls. Eventually, Makayla resurfaced with the claim that the products had been mistakenly delivered to her home instead of ours. She attempted to blame Face Reality, claiming they had apologized to her for the mix-up. This excuse was hard to believe as well. Makayla arranged for my wife to pick up the products at her workplace the next day between 3:30 and 4:00 PM. Predictably, she failed to show up, stating she was stuck in traffic. My wife, being understanding, wished her a safe trip home and they arranged to try the pickup again the following day, Saturday. On Saturday, my wife reconfirmed with Makayla and waited all day, yet once again, Makayla did not show up. My wife attempted to text, call, and email her throughout the day, but received absolutely no response--not even a courtesy message indicating a change of plans. Makayla's behavior is unacceptable, unprofessional, and it's clear she is conducting business in a shady manner. It is our belief that she took our money with no intention of ever delivering the products. There are no products, no refunds, no apologies and she has gone completely silent. As of still to this day (1/8/25) my wife still has not received any products or promises of a refund.
