We came here as found out from a local (Anna from the Clarke's store) that this shop had see Gordon Ramsey and family come here for dinner the previous night. So we thought it its good enough for Gordon, definately need to come and check it out and were very lucky to get a table booking for the next night!
The location is awesome, as its this cottage situated right by the bridge, but you have to drive around a bit to find parking. Inside decor is warm, welcoming and friendly. Also you have to put in your order at the bar, there is no table service for orders. Foodwise we got:
1) Tom Yum Ruam- Specials Board - noodle soup with prawns & fish. It originally came with chicken, but when asked, were okay with having it seafood only, and for me, this was the best dish of the night.
2) Prawn Pad Kee Mao - Thai style drunken noodle. The sauce was too sweet for my taste, but good amount of veg and shrimp.
3) Geng Massaman - with veggies - my 2nd fave dish of the night. bright flavourful notes. Good amount of veggies
4) Geng Kiow Waan - Green curry. Holy Moly! This was way too spicy for me! I would have liked some potatoes or cauliflowers to keep the spice level in check
They had sold out of dessert, so decided to end the night only with mains. Overall, enjoyed the flavours and if was a local, would definitely return.
