I was visiting England and we picked this pub by off chance as it we central to meeting a few people from different locations.
What an accidental find, this is a gem of place. It's a little pub in the middle of an estate with a nice pub garden.
Oh but the food, the food was excellent. We first sat outside enjoying some local bears then heading into the restaurant side later. They had what I would call traditional pub food menu then some extras. I had their 10oz rump steak and it was cooked to perfection, coupled with their stilton cheese source it was perfection. I would highly recommend this place, great food, good prices, very friendly staff and no rush atmosphere.
After the meal we sat there chatting and finished up with a good cup of coffee, never felt rushed. Would go again in a heartbeat. read more
