Really nice little country pub that really looks after you.
We like to go as a family occasionally as they are really good to the kids. They do do kids stuff but you can have smaller versions of the adults dinners if they prefer something different to their usual choice of junk food on offer.
Parking is a little scary with small kids as they are on the main road through Sharnford and you have to park over the road in the village hall car park.
The menu is small but vared and they have personal names for the food named after the locals like Johns Shepherds Pie etc. Even Bill 'Greengrass' Maynard has a named dish though I can't remember what it is.
There is a bar area with a TV for the footy, some tables near the bar and a bigger room for dining. Also, last time I passed thety'd added a small marquee on the side though I don't know if this is permanent or just an added function tent.
There is a reasonable sized beer garden for summer al frescoe dining or for the dirty unsociable smokers.
