Specifically, Atlas provides everything you need (on terms of a PT facility) but it's clear that the therapists and exercise consultants are qualified and really care about their patients well-being and goals. In addition to offering useful services like dry needling, massage, exercise plans, etc. onsite, I felt that Atlas (specifically Jeremy & Dave) did a great job of giving me realistic goals to work towards on my own. They also were an excellent meter for gauging my progress and helped me through the concerns/feelings that everyone goes through while recovering from a major surgery/injury. I highly recommend Atlas and will be back for any of my PT needs.

I was having knee and hip pain due to not being able to activate my right glute properly and the rest of my body overcompensating for it. My squat and deadlift were struggling as a result. Over the last month I've had monumental improvement in my lifts, as well as, no more pain! Cami has made an effort to give me exercises that I can work into my programs. She's also done a lot to help me brace properly when lifting, which isn't an easy skill. Very glad I found this place and have been able to work with Cami! Another shout out to the front desk staff who are always incredibly kind and helpful. If you're looking for top notch PT care this is definitely the spot!

In December, I learned that the owner of the practice was holding onto my money because they were moving locations and funds were tight. This is just plain wrong. When I was called back the PT rubbed my lower back then had her assistant take over. I did two single-set exercises as directed and was told that I could go. I met with the PT and her assistant for a total of 12 minutes. I was in and out the door in less than a half hour including wait time. Only 12 minutes of actual physical therapy!! My previous two appointments lasted 30 and 25 minutes respectively. I cancelled my subsequent appointments and will never set foot in any of their facilities again. 12 minutes! That's shameful. They ripped off not only me but also my insurance company. No wonder why medical costs are so high.

In my experience most places that take traditional insurance do not have the same philosophy and can only focus on one target area. I am overweight and never felt shamed or told to lose weight at anytime. I have not always had the same experience with other providers, so it was refreshing. Andrew got to the root cause of my symptoms and provided me with stretches and exercises to help alleviate pain and improve my workout goals. They just had me walk the room back and forth a couple times, and stand on one foot, asking which leg felt less stable. I also feel like they're way too dependent on gimmicky one-off treatments. (They jumped right into dry needling the very first session, which even if you believe isn't a pseudoscience, isn't usually the first course of treatment.) These things would help me feel good for a day or two before things went back to hurting. Meanwhile, I felt like I never got useful at-home exercises to help build strength and flexibility. I will say I got a few useful tips on stability and alignment improvements, but even then, I had to extrapolate on my own to figure out what exercises and running form changes actually helped. But it wasn't enough to keep paying $100+ a session.
