The night was fun looking at designer duds and jewelry to make your eyes say "Ohhh!" On top of scoring a BEAUTIFUL fall 'go to' bag which i sport right now, a Tan bag by linea pelle and WINNING a snake skin clutch by Biern from their raffle at the end of night me and my friend made out like bandits with all the goodies from the night. She also bought some J brand Jeans on sale! and a few cute tops. AND a cute little swag bag with a few perfume samples (one i fell in love with) I'm a fan of designer clothes that you can't find around at Macy's or Neiman marcus. Boutiques are cute, small, and personal like this one. The decor is light and bright. The owner Suzanna was so sweet when I asked about her bags and was kind of enough to hid it for me so it wouldn't be snagged by another customer. I love shopping at this place, its very trendy and they catered to my friend's 4 year old son who also attended the event. Not snobby at all and that's how I like it.

Towards the back is a clearance section, and there were some sale items around the store as well. I definitely didn't walk out empty-handed. The employee was super duper extra friendly and made me feel very welcome, as I was presenting non-binary while in the store. Yay! *sparkles and rainbows*

From the minute you step in you're greeted with a warm welcome, and so many different colors and designs! This shop definitely has an Austin vibe, as it has many witty and funny things to cute and witchy. I was in love with how versatile it is! The other thing I wanted to give a gold star to are the employees who are very helpful and cheerful to everyone! It makes the shopping experience 10/10 ! I will definitely be coming back, because this is a favorite of mine now!

Exclusive Framing Inc is a little store that pulled me in with the odd promise of gifts, cards,…read morecandles and pet food. An interesting combination, yes. However, I found the majority of the store to include random, cute and useful gift items. The random: a longhorn cell phone holder that screws onto the wall and provides a little cup for your cell phone while it charges. Odd, but the lady told me she had sold 2 that day. The cute: a glass nail file that will never wear down in a monogrammed black sleeve. The useful: a leather luggage tag. Not to mention the dog food, which is also useful. There were two ladies in there chatting while I walked around and the atmosphere was a little quiet for my preference. I mean, they could hear every step I took (and my steps even echoed) and I could hear every single word they said. I guess that is to be expected in a small shop, but some music might have helped. Overall, this store is a fun place to look for gift items or to find something to splurge on for yourself. As a bonus, you can also grab some food for Fido. Talk about one stop shopping.

My oldest found a charming gemstone pendant ($12.99). I remember the music being upbeat. The cashier friendly. The custom print t-shirt option. And the good-humored magnets on display. Fiesta at North Star feels like a celebration or party! Talk about sensory overload...your eyes see nothing but bold colors. As you scan the room, you see bright embroidered pueblo dresses hanging from racks (still own a couple), strings of papel picado flying overhead, and shelves overflowing with decorations with the spirit of San Antonio's Fiesta. The store is bold, busy, and totally festive. The space is larger than it looks from the outside...deep and wide. There is virtually no dead space. Everywhere you look you find a new discovery...handcrafted items that reflected a deep connection to Mexican and Latin American culture. The store has a wide range of authentic Fiesta merchandise and cultural goods. In fact, I saw the tissue paper flowers, large and small, throughout the store. I have fond memories of placing one the flowers or a band of flowers in my hair during the Battle of Flowers or Night in Old San Antonio (NIOSA) parades. The decorations, music, and overall layout are designed to immerse visitors in the culture of Fiesta. Most items are pretty reasonably priced. However, the larger pinatas and more intricate items could cost more. In addition, staff is available throughout the store to assist you. Fiesta at North Star Mall truly captures the essence of Fiesta. Look forward to my next leisurely visit...
