The retail price posted on each item is already (supposedly) 40% the original price that is also posted on each item. Note - this is prior to the "sale". Then, when the sale begins, the "sale" price is NOT 40% off regularly posted price. Rather it is 43% off the supposed original price. This equates to the truth being the sale is a 3% discount; NOT a 40% discount. Just something to keep in mind so you aren't tricked into thinking you are getting a 40% discount. You are not. You are getting a 3% discount.

I chose The Shade Store because I thought they would provide quality products with excellent installation. Wow was I wrong. I experienced communication issues, defected shades, see through liners for what should be blackout shades in a nursery, multiple installation issues and more. 4 months later and I am still left with defective shades that honestly look terrible. They offered me less than 10% compensation for the issues I experienced. I asked to speak to a manager and no one made the effort to call me. I received an email with a meaningless sum of money and no explanation. The Shade Store products are not worth the time or the money.

I chose to spend my money at a local…read morebusiness vs. buying online, and I guess I learned my lesson since their customer service has been so bad and I believe they are even screening and not answering my calls as I've been trying to resolve an issue over $200 dollars for 3 months! I have been trying to return, for either a refund or credit, one leftover roll of wallpaper since late July. I had one complete roll of wallpaper left over from my project. Within 30 days of my order I called the store to say that i wanted to return a roll of the paper, they told me the process and how much i would receive and to just stop by , no mention of time limitation. When I called back again to check the store hours for the return I was then told that scheduling a pick up would be a better way to handle the return vs going in store and I would receive a call back to arrange the pick up. A week passed and i didn't receive a call, so i called the design studio back, i was then told that now i was out of the 30 day window (by 3 days) and i had to deal with the supplier directly. I was given the number and called the supplier. The supplier said "no problem" to a return or credit, but needed the account # which i didn't have. I called back the Portchester location, spoke with Ivana who said she'd call me back. I didn't hear back a week later, so i left a voicemail. I got an email two weeks later, 2.5 months after my initial reachout to get this one roll of wallpaper returned which said : "I spoke to my manager, and although Kravet is saying they will take the wallpaper back, it is our policy that we don't accept returns on any wallpaper after 30 days. It states that on the back of your receipt. I'm sorry." This is unacceptable customer service. It's taken 75 days, and weekly calls to get this answer which is different from what i was told two months ago. I wrote to their customer service email before writing this review and have called every week hoping to talk to an actual persion but believe they are screening and not answering my calls, which is bonkers for a business to do to a new customer who has been nothing but polite and tried to work this out. Their dealings in this matter have been extremely shady. And I do not recommend their design studio at all.
