I specifically instructed technician to remove my gutter guards and set them aside next to the house because he said they didn't have time to reinstall them. I never authorized anyone to take them off my property. When I got home, every gutter guard was gone. The company initially told me there was "nothing they could do" and falsely claimed that my wife and I had approved their removal and disposal. Only after I pushed back did they admit their technician still had them. What followed were multiple broken promises and three failed attempts to return my property, including sending a technician out who performed another gutter cleaning instead of returning the guards. When the gutter guards were finally returned, they were damaged and unusable. Replacing and reinstalling them will cost approximately $2,000-$3,000. To make matters worse, I specifically instructed the company to clean the downspouts as part of the service. After the first significant rainstorm, the downspouts backed up all the way through the drains and overflowed, showing the drainage system was not functioning properly after the work they performed. After paying over $1,600 for professional gutter cleaning, I expected the gutters and downspouts to drain properly--not back up during the first storm. I had to go out multiple times to tap out all the debris from the downspouts. As if that wasn't enough, the company later recharged my credit card for the same $430 partial refund they had already issued. I never authorized this new charge. I have reported it to my credit card company as part of my ongoing dispute. This is now the third time I've used Spotless Gutters, and I deeply regret ever trusting them again. Between removing my property without permission, making false claims about authorization, damaging my gutter guards, repeatedly failing to keep their promises, leaving my drainage system backed up, and attempting to take back a refund by charging my card again, this has been the worst customer service experience I've ever had. I have filed a credit card dispute and a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I strongly recommend avoiding this company. My experience was one of damaged property, poor workmanship, broken promises, and unauthorized charges. I will never use Spotless Gutters again.
