Shop at another location frequently and always receive excellent service from the moment I walk in the door. NOT the case here. Many discontinued items are still being featured, the selection is greatly depleted and dated, current trends are absent, and, the disorganization of the samples / Items both with lack of pricing and product identification is ridi cultus. The store manager (Mason) attempted to blame poor service on staffing issues rather than take accountability. Salesperson (Tracey) blamed an inability to find product on customers, left to cheCJ availability without returning or letting me know a regular customer that came after required his attention, and failed to offer to cheCJ prices / research items I was interested In. Arlette (seasoned salesperson) is the only reason I didn't leave after a frustrating conversation with the manager about his other employee's unprofessional actions. Avoid this location like the plague. If you must shop here, ask for Arlette. She is attentive, courteous, knowledgeable and extremely professional. Had a good selection, but no customer service. We walked around for 28 minutes past employees just standing behind desks. Not one person approached us or asked if they could help. I am buying tile for my kitchen floor, backsplash, and four bathrooms. I had been working with Michelle at the Tile Shop in Marietta. But one day my contractor was working on my backsplash, and he needed more material. I immediately ran to the Tile Shop and Michelle was off that day. Arlette immediately stepped in and came to the rescue. She diligently searched in the store and warehouse for the specific edging I needed. When she discovered that it was not available in their store, she immediately called the Dunwoody store. Thankfully they had it. Arlette offered without my asking to drive on her personal time to the Dunwoody store and pickup what I needed and then drive it to my house, and that is what she did! The crisis was averted because the contractor had already told me that he would have to stop working if the material was not at my home very quickly. Arlette went over and above the call of duty. She did this on her own time, not the company's. She drove her personal car and refused to allow me to pay for her gas. Where do you get customer service like that? No where, I would say. I have not ever experienced such wonderful customer care ever before. read more

I recently ordered tiles for a bathroom remodel . I bought my tiles from the Barrett Parkway store . The store itself is a beautiful facility with a great selection of tiles . The problem is that they are understaffed . The sales people working at the store are set up for failure . They are constantly barraged by calls , irate customers and they are running around trying to please everyone . I feel bad for the staff working at the store . I had to postpone my tiling job as my tiles did not arrive on time , had to re-order tiles as my order was messed up by another store that shipped them . I called the customer service line in exasperation but none of it actually helped my cause . In the end I received my tiles but my gutted bathroom had to wait 3 weeks to be completed . I sincerely hope that management hire more people to address the staffing problems at this store . read more

After several false starts at the big boxes and even a couple "discount" tile retailers, we rolled in here needing floor and wall tile for a master bath redo. Shoulda come here first. Tons of well-done examples that confirm in 3D that what you are thinking of doing is possible. Also a coherent presentation of the tiles so you know what is what, also the proper span of grout colors and options, caulk too in MATCHING colors. Just invaluable. We were looking for a very muted, classic look but every other joint only stocked glossy 3x6 bricks, not the matte. Plus the "special" order here was just 3 days -- and they waived the order fee. Didn't really need any intense design help, but Danny our salesman did provide some great suggestions that really firmed up what we were going to do. And he was not intimidated by the math needed for a basketweave pattern. Plus they allowed us to return unused tile without a hassle, something you almost always end up with special orders as you do not want to get caught short in the middle of job. Very much suggest stopping here first for your tile project needs. Although they do skew to the high end, there is something here at every price point. The only thing that is keeping them from a 5-star is another different salesman who initially tried to upsell me well beyond what I needed for a redo of 25-yr old bath. Just have some idea of what you want and your budget and you'll have a great experience. read more

Very poor experience from the sales floor to post project customer service by the General Manager. We almost walked out the first time in because of their posted prices, but the guy working the sales floor said not to worry about those prices. According to him they always discount off of that unless you don't ask for a deal. After all was said and done it was a little more expensive than Floor & Decor but they had a specific tile we liked for the floors. Also, they do not stock any of these tiles like their competitors so we had to pay $200 for delivery to the store which made no sense because it took longer than if we would have just waited on their next truck coming from the warehouse.... My biggest issue was when I went to return unused tiles like our sales accounts said we could post project. When the GM went to process our return he informed us that only full boxes were eligible for return (even though they have loose singles throughout the store...). I showed him my receipt and asked where it stated this policy and he couldn't because it was not on the original sales receipt. He then proceeded to reprint a new receipt of our transaction and stated that during covid they took that portion off but that was still the policy. This is a terrible way to do business and he should be ashamed of himself for not being able to see the customers point of view and how this was clearly a Floor & Decor issue, not the customers. You can't just change a return policy on past purchases; right!?!?! All said and done we are obviously done doing business with The Tile Shop. If only one person reads this and chooses to take their business elsewhere this GMs poor customer service decision and lack of empathy will have cost The Tile Shop more than it would have if he simply took care of his customer and honored the return policy on my receipt. read more

I tried to return 20 tiles which I purchased last month and were leftover from our project. The MANAGER said he could not locate our purchase history from my last name nor any of our phone numbers! We met with Tracy and he was very knowledgeable and helped us find what would look the best in the space. It was a painless and quick process. We picked up our tile order today. We haven't had a chance to open all the boxes or install the tiles yet, but we wanted to tell you how much we loved the customer service!!! First, Michelle took the time to talk with us about some design ideas we had. We came in knowing what we wanted because we saw it online. We found a sample and took it home to verify. We came back in and bought several more samples to see how it looked in a larger number, and we were well satisfied. We called and asked about the ordering process. The manager we spoke with (I wish I could remember her name!) was so fabulous and looked up what we bought and verified it wasn't in stock and there wasn't any around Georgia. Instead of having time to get disappointed, I was quickly told it was no problem. They didn't have an order coming soon, but she was going out of state and would pick some up for us from another store. We came in the following Monday and confirmed our measurements and order with Michelle. She made sure we had what we needed, and helped again with some design questions. Today, she greeted us like we were old friends, helped us get our 21 cases of tile to the truck, and even offered another help with our layout. She's so enthusiastic and asked for pictures of when it's done, and I think she's as excited about our new bathroom as we are. It really made us happy to do business with The Tile Shop instead of the big box stores. We ended up with a much better design than when we started, and we ended up feeling like valued customers because of these two women! read more

Absolutely horribly structured organization. The stores stock virtually no tile and their turnaround time to get tile in will ensure that projects will be delayed if tile isn't ordered far in advance and you don't run out. Over order and you will be charged a restocking fee to return. Basically a showroom masquerading as a tile supplier. Our 2nd experience as a contractor dealing with this company has cost thousands in lost professional time. The manager, CJ Sullivan, in Kennesaw doesn't even have the authority to honor pricing and then failed to order the remaining tile for the project for delivery. His solution was to have the client drive a 4 hour turnaround trip to pick up tile in another location. The regional manager, Brian Deering, fails to follow through with pricing adjustments or return phone calls and claims that ONLY the CEO can approve a pricing adjustment. If that's the case, the CEO clearly has too much time on his hands and should perhaps spend more time working directly with his clients within the stores to understand his inefficiencies and lack of reasonable customer service. Solution to a nightmare of an experience is to blame the client. We'll see how long this business model lasts, but in the interim... there are plenty of suppliers for tile and not a single one we've dealt have such issues. A pretty showroom doesn't make up for poor service and an inefficient operation. Well... now the regional manager finally called. His solution was for me to drive the 4 hours to pick up tile rather than just starting over with new tile. Apparently he goes to court regularly to represent his company as they tend to be sued often for similar reasons. As a former contractor he seems to have plenty of business advice to offer on how his client should run their business and that week long delays are just par for the course. Could be why Brian is now working at a Tile Shop instead of running a contracting company. If you are looking for a supplier with zero customer service skills and a blatant refusal to accept any accountability... this is definitely your store! read more

Worst customer service ever! Great products but terrible sales and management. We spent over 30k on a large project and were repeatedly assured that ANY unooened boxes could be returned. Not the case. Tried to return about $1500 worth and were told that we were a few days past the time limit (that we were originally told didn't exist). The salesperson,Tracy, was ever so overly helpful until we tried to return something. Then he avoided us like the plague. The manager just said "Well, sorry for the mix up but no exceptions ". Note - They do not "make their own tile" -- trust me, they buy on the world market like every other seller. I think this store is a good place to start to see what you might want. The prices are quite high because you are paying for all that lovely showroom space. Example: I purchased (Miami Circle) the Calcutta Bianco Matt at $3.50 a piece as opposed to $5.99 at this store. That really adds up when purchasing 250 pieces. Customer service was spotty so I had no compunction to buy here because of service/assistance. Took off one star because all sizes are shown in cm. I was told that I could return any open box as long as it contained the correct amount of square footage. When I went to return 3 boxes with even more than the required square footage they refused to take it back. Lesson learned. read more

These guys were super helpful. I just needed on tile to replace a broken tile. They didn't have the exact tile color in stock, but recommended other places I might find it and advice on how to replace the broken tile. If I'm ever have additional tile needs will definitely stop back here. read more

I was afraid to come into the store after reading the reviews; however we decided to go in anyways and I am very happy we did! The store is beautiful and the staff was very friendly. We were not pressured into buying anything. We were greeted when we entered and assisted when wanted by a very knowledgeable Designer. She answered all of our questions and gave us great advice on what size tile would work for our space. We will definitely return soon! read more

If I had read these reviews before I went into this store I probably would have never shopped there. I had the most wonderful experience at The Tile store, Kennesaw. Not only did I purchase tile for 4 bathrooms but I had them ship it out of state. All went so smoothly, honestly, pretty much without a glitch !! I think part of the success was that I always made an appointment. I don't think they say you have to but I did just because I needed individual attention to figure all the details of the bathrooms I was doing. CJ helped me and I could not have been more pleased with the service, selection, store displays, suggestions,pricing.....CJ went above and beyond and even did rendering of the 4 bathrooms to help my tile setters get the design right. I have shopped for a lot of tile and The Tile store really does offer more than most in supporting you and your design. I found it very easy and most rewarding when we finally finished.
