My floor was installed when my house was built 3 years ago, in year three I noticed that the planks stated to separate in three different sections and when I contacted Fleming a service rep came out, at the end of the visit his conclusion was since I had settling cracks on my patio that my foundation was crack all over where it was separating. I found that a little hard to believe since it wasn't consistent, and they would admit that maybe it was installation and wouldn't replace but only offer caulk as a courtesy. read more

Inconsistent customer service. Picked something that was sitting in the showroom and yet was told it is custom and cannot be returned. I did not asked for that to made specifically for me. There has been a continuous display of dishonesty, lack of integrity and sheer incompetence by this company. They did not respond to our warranty needs until we wrote an honest review last month. When they finally came to our home to inspect the work that they initially failed to inspect for quality control, not only did they show up on the wrong date but then acted as if they didn't see the defective work until I called them on it and asked them to bring out their leveler. They then admitted that our floor has a hump in it and they would get in touch with their contractor to discuss how to fix it. I am not sure why they need to contact a contractor for the purpose of fixing their shoddy work. They came to see the work on November 3 and they have not followed up since then. It appears that their tactic is to wait you out until you go away, but unfortunately for them, this tactic won't work with us. Carefully consider your options before employing this company or entrusting them to do any substantial work for you as there are more trustworthy and truly competent flooring companies in Marietta and the surrounding area. read more

Fleming was amazing from start to finish. We replaced our laminate flooring with LVP on our entire first floor. We were able to take large samples home to choose from unlike other stores and we were lucky that our flooring was in stock. A five person crew arrived on time, worked hard for two days and finished the job. They carefully moved our furniture out and placed it back. They did a phenomenal and professional job. The best work we have had done in our home and we've been remodeling for the last year. After seven months of running around trying to find THE best pricing for my teacher budget, the materials I desired, and the professionalism I demand, Fleming served up top notch EVERYTHING on my list. There are two stand out employees that I have to recommend for their outstanding efforts to make sure their company carries out excellence in customer service and impeccable work. They are Jeff Browne, the project manager who I met one time face-to-face, and Pamela Snow who helped me do business almost solely via emails back and forth and a few trips up to the Kennesaw store. Most importantly, I had to trust that the communication between the three of us was in alignment with the desires of the outcome of the project I envisioned for my home. Expectations surpassed! They were both amazing! Additionally, I had to let Jeff and his team access my home through a lock box without my being there. Strangers in my house all day doing work for me while I was away at work sometimes until late at night, BUT through all of that, they did a fantastic job on the tile floors, the wood floors, and the carpeted staircase. I heard some where that the true testament of great character is to do it right even when no one is looking. They passed the test! Sorry no pictures, please. This IS the inna-net. I drove 40 minutes to get to their location by 5 p.m., going by their website stating they were open till 5:30. The dingbat who answered the phone, when I couldn't find their new location, gave me very specific directions and I was there within 2 minutes (5:04) and their doors were locked. I called and got somebody who just answered said this is "Steven at Fleming Carpets, can I help you?" When I asked are you not open until 5:30 he said "Well sometimes, but sometimes 5:00.... depends. Why?" Well why is because I drove to get here. So then he says well MAYBE I can find somebody to open the door for you. "No thanks. I'll go elsewhere." If you are going to advertise you are a retail location open until 5:30 you should be open until 5:30. Your website does not say I need to make an appointment. I was ready to buy; knew exactly what I wanted. Too bad you lost the business. read more

We recently bought a house and learned a lot about flooring installation. First, it is really hard to find a good company. We asked friends and no one could recommend who they used. Someone finally recommended Fleming for their carpet installation. They had good reviews so we thought we found a company who would do a great job. We spent 10K to have engineered hardwood, carpet on stairs and in a closet. I would consider this a large enough amount that we should have gotten great service. We did not. What we learned...make sure the person who comes out and supervises the work is actually there more than 2 minutes a day and comes back to see the final product. Make sure the crew that is doing the work has been with the company for a long time and has a good record of doing work. Make sure that you are around during the project. We were told to stay out of their way. So we left one day one when the wood was installed. This was a huge mistake. Our walls had been freshly painted and were ruined. They literally left marks about 3 feet up the walls and down to the floors and black, greasy marks on the doors. They also left some large gaps and there was no wood leftover. Said they used it all. (really?) I made sure I was there when the carpet went in. If not, it would have been done wrong too. Overall, the floors look good at first glace. Some things didn't get done that I wanted. There are some large gaps that I am not happy with. My walls will never be right until they are entirely repainted. Touch ups don't work well on gray paint. There were other issues too. Needless to say, we won't recommend Fleming. read more

They are terrible. They installed the carpeting and hardwood floor for my Traton Home and the hardwood floor is already separating and buckling. I have only been in this newly built home for 11 months. Of course, Traton Homes contracts this company out. I have lived in a home before with hardwood floors and never have the floors looked so terrible. The sad thing about it, Fleming did nothing to try to fix the problem. They just simply said the humidity should cause the flooring to expand. They even suggested I buy a humidifier. Just a sorry company all around. Find a larger, more well known company install your flooring needs. I guarantee you will be disappointed in the long run. Don't even waste your time and money on them. read more

Fleming Flooring and Design is absolutely the best! My husband and I spent almost a year interviewing floor companies to refinish our hardwood floors. A few of the companies were dishonest in their measurements and were adding extra square footage to inflate the price. Being obsessive/compulsive retirees, we knew the exact footage. We were so impressed that Fleming's measurements were exactly the same as ours. They are very honest and trustworthy. Robert was always on hand to follow up and had a excellent rapport with the staff who was doing the refinishing. They were always on time and did everything that they promised. The end result is amazing; we love our new special walnut floors. They did a fabulous job at a very fair price. We recently shopped at their store for area rugs. We met the owner who was working there on a Saturday along with his staff. Robert was also there helping out. We had royal treatment from them and their very helpful and pleasant sales lady, Katy.
