From appointment scheduling to the front desk and my esthetician, everyone I interacted with was exceptionally poised and helpful. I booked a complete brow makeover (waxing, tinting, and lamination), but honestly, the results weren't for me. The shaping wasn't quite to my liking, and my brows looked almost the same as when I came in, minus some slight irritation from the waxing. But here's the true measure of a standout business: even though I didn't love the results, I loved the experience. My esthetician, Evelin, was careful and intentional with every step. She explained what she was doing, highlighted the benefits, provided a weighted blanket, and made sure everything was safe and sanitized between products. So while I probably won't come back for brows, I would absolutely return for a facial--especially since that seems to be their real specialty.

Once you walk into the back, it is an open concept salon and the tables are separated by a curtain. Then you get a weighted blanket that feels like a warm hug and you start you facial with an essential oil- I typically go with eucalyptus because it relaxes me the most but they also have a citrus oil. You're offered the option to either be talked through the steps of your service or have a silent service. I typically get talked through mine because I love skin care and like to utilize their methods into my daily routine. I've been to a few other Face Foundrie locations throughout Texas, one in Dallas, and I think this one might be my home!

There was one incident that I feel like someone else would've reacted differently than I did. The restroom (they only have one and it's in the front) I didn't realize and no one told me until i read a small sign, upon closing the door behind me that the lock was broken :( I had to use the restroom and wanted to do so before getting back on the road, since with pregnancy....well for the ones that get it get it, lol. I wrestled back and forth in my mind on if I should use the restroom or not... I chose not to and just washed my hands to get my mental state back in that "relax mode". I started to wash my hands and a man opened the door and literally got an entire glimpse of me, was startled, and shut the door. Wow....im so happy I wasn't using the restroom. That would've been very very awkward and I wouldn't have known how to even handle that moment. I told the man that it was okay, because of course it wasn't his fault, he didn't know..but Jenna, when I asked her about where the restroom was she told me where and told me that I could use the restroom. I think it would've been nice if she told the front desk staff so that way they could keep an eye out for me. The interaction between the man and I was definitely quite loud and so I'm surprised they didn't say anything to me after, like no apology or anything. Once they saw me they motioned me to check out and grabbed payment. I paid my $180 for the prenatal massage plus tipped Jenna $40, because I really did enjoy her service but there's always room for improvement anywhere :) hopefully they take this as a loving critique. I would hate anyone else to get that restroom experience and actually have been using the restroom.... I didn't say much at the end, but I think I was still in shock. To make matters worse, the scalp massage we explicitly agreed on at the start of the session was completely forgotten. They tack on an automatic 20% gratuity that is only disclosed at checkout. She's 41, this is her first baby. It will probably be her ONLY baby. The women's body is crazy like that. Happy I'm able to decide what I want to do with my body. Tangent. I booked 2 massages. A maternity one and a regular Swedish massage. My friend goes in right before the appointment time. Perfect! My turn is coming right? Someone calls my name. Oops. She meant Catherine. Not Caroline. Idk that mistake happens often. I know because I have a sister whose name is Catherine. So I sit down. 20 minutes after my appointment time, the manager comes in and tells me the therapist didn't show up and they're fully committed today. (No wonder they confirmed the appointment a million times) she basically said "you ain't getting your massage today" but, nicer, wayyy nicer lol Am I annoyed? 100% Am I irritated? Totally I text my husband who is the rational one in the relationship and he said "give them some grace, it's not their fault someone didn't show up to work." He is right. They totally made up for it. I did the halotherapy which is this salt treatment thing and we got 2 pedicures. She even ended up comping my friends massage. The whole thing was comped. Honestly, she didn't have to do that. I could sense that she REALLY felt bad. Sometimes people apologize because they feel like they have to and it's not genuine. She was genuine. If I was a local, I'd come back just for the service. My friend loved her massage and really that's all that matters. The products Kendal recommended were perfect as well. They have a large selection of some g medical grade skin products. A staff member, who I strongly suspect had little to no experience, administered tear trough filler after talking me into it. The results were immediately wrong. I asked for it to be dissolved right away. What followed was weeks of runaround. They had me return every two weeks, and with each visit their attitude worsened, especially once I declined their repeated pressure to purchase additional services. I came in wanting a small, natural result. They saw a revenue opportunity. After multiple attempts, they were unable to fully dissolve the filler. I am now seeking treatment from a licensed dermatologist to fix what they could not. The practice is run by someone with no medical credentials, not a physician, not a nurse practitioner, not an aesthetician with any verifiable expertise. The medical authority here appears to be a nurse who seemed undertrained for the procedures being performed. A medical spa performing injectables should be overseen by a licensed physician on site. This one is not. If something goes wrong, and it did for me, there is no qualified person there to fix it. Avoid this place. The consequences can be permanent.
