Just been introduced to this wonderful pub. No good for ale fans, choice of lagers and smoothpour only - but the food!!!
There is a Carvery everyday for £3.95. Good thick slices of a choice of joints (beef, turkey etc) plus a good choice of accompaniments such as sprouts with sausage, lovely roast spuds, green beans, peas etc.
If carveries are not for you there is a full menu of pub type grub to choose from - from around £3.50 upwards to T. Bone staek for around a tenner.
Now, this morning I went for their all you can eat breakfast! What a feast - bacon, sausage, black pudding, mushrooms, potato shapes, scrambled eggs, fried eggs, fried bread, toast etc etc. 2 of these plus a tea and a coffee came to a very reasonable £9.90. You just help yourself to whatever you want from the massive choice in front of you. Of course as it was my first time I made a pig of myself and filled my plate. I ate this at 9.30 and did not eat again till 7.00 tonight! Go on treat yourselves - oh and they have entertainment every night, quizzes, bands, discos, etc. What a wonderful community pub, I wish we had something like it near where I live. read more
