A truly wonderful pub/restaurant experience.
It was packed with locals enjoying a good congenial atmosphere. It looks old yet quite contemporary and clean inside.
There are three parts to it, the central pub, a small cafe as you enter and the restaurant in the rear. None of it is large, and all quite cozy.
Since the restaurant seemed fairly full of patrons were opted for seats in the pub area. It was fun to watch all the locals enjoying a beer and having some fun. An occasional dog added some energy and involvement too.
I ordered a burger and oh my goodness, as is usual in England the beef was incredibly fresh and tasty, and the entirety delicious. They heap cheese and lettuce, tomato, onion and with a double patty it is burger heaven!
Of course it comes with fries.
Having a local beer was great and the service was friendly and top notch.
We absolutely enjoyed the meal. The only downside was the level of noise, but hey it's a pub. read more
