Overall really good experience! The food was good and the drinks were delicious. I'm a bit of an introvert at times so the ambiance was a little much at times (not the place for a chill/quiet night out) but since we were there trying to have a good time celebrating a birthday, it was a fitting environment for the occasion! Even with the size of the crowd the service was timely and efficient as well. Would definitely recommend and am very likely to come back if in the area again.

OMG! I love a good hole in the wall! The food was slamming! Spicy mango habanero sauce was great on everything! Getting it on your wings and shrimp is a must!!! And the pork skins! I thought I was home in Texas for a minute! Drinks were FIRE! Get a screaming orgy! The music was great! Crowd had good energy too! It was supposed to be karaoke night, but the DJ never really called anybody up to sing. That's why I gave this place 4 stars! This was a really fun night tho!

Food was good. Although I don't like huge wings. Upon arrival, we were ID'd and pat down. Once inside, we stood there a while being ignored. We were only approached cause she needed something in our area. After five minutes of being watched standing she said it was open seating. Service after that was cool. Very nice waiter. Ambiance was okay. Almost $100 for 10 wings, fries. & 2 alcoholic drinks. Birthday dinner was okay other than that.

This place has some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced. It is not that the waiters here are horrible. It just looks like they are permanently under staffed. All night, this one waiter was running around trying to service everyone. This place has some very good food specials and drink specials. I was able to order a 64oz pitcher for a very good price. They have a ton of beer on tap. I heard that the cocktails are very strong also. My friends ordered wings, steak, and burgers and they all thought the food was good. It took a long time to get any of the TVs changed to the correct sporting event, get refills, or even get our food.

overall the review here to me can't be that long. Thirsty is a place you can get reasonably priced drinks all day anyway and from 3-7 they have a happy hour. They have a pretty long menu of things you can get but there's certain things I obviously would just not get here. They are nachos, wings, and quesadillas are pretty good and to me on the safe side. I wouldn't venture out until like the seafood section of things or anything that's looking to be a lot more expensive. The waitress I had was really nice and they usually always are the couple of times I've been here other than that it's a cool spot to go just to drink and eat.

Strawberry daiquiri for $8. Minimal alcohol included.

I came to update my review because I loved the April pizza of the month, but I realized I never…read moreposted an original review so this is long overdue! My husband and I come here with our family and dog often because there is patio seating and it's conveniently located next to the outlets. You just can't beat a pizza and beer on a nice day outside. And they keep it interesting at Tailgate, with a rotating selection of craft brews on tap and a pizza of the month. I am a creature of habit and will usually order the tailgate orange wheat beer (tastes even better on tap than in cans from the store!) and a hot honey pizza. On occasion I'll venture out on a limb and try the pizza of the month. For April 2026, the pizza of the month was ham, blackberry jam and ricotta. It was a hit for all of us (even my dog!) and I wish I could order this again and again. This last time we also ordered a flight to try some of the new beers on the menu. The most unique sip we tried was the TG blast, Tailgate's boozy version of Mountain Dew Baja Blast. Go check it out while it's still there!

The beer is pretty good here and the pizzas always impress. We've tried a few different pizzas…read moreincluding their garlic white sauce, meat lovers, and whipped ricotta. Each one was better than the last. We have also gotten some of their apps and they didn't disappoint. The only thing that left us confused/annoyed is that they charge for ranch... I've never been charged for ranch after buying a $30+ pizza, $12 appetizer and $8+ beers. It feels like they're just nickel and diming you. This location has a cool atmosphere, and it's probably my favorite of all the Tail Gate locations. I love how open it is and there is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. They also have a good amount of TVs, making this a solid option to watch a game at. This place can be a nightmare to get to during the holidays, specifically when it comes to parking. There aren't enough parking spots in this shopping center and it can be a madhouse.

3.5 To borrow a page…read morefrom my Salsa review: "Nashville has Dominicans?" I had a friend in town from Miami and I wanted to show him that Nashville had a Latin scene beyond Central America. A furious search later and we came upon 809. When I saw that the name and colors were legit, I felt good about bringing him here. We walked in on a Wednesday night and we were the only people in the bar. At the time, they were transitioning from being a bar & restaurant to just a bar. That meant that I would not be enjoying any mangu or sancocho. No me gusta. After sidling up to the bar* and having the bartender pick the wrong one of us to be Dominican, I opted to have a strong rum drink since I wouldn't be enjoying any food. She asked what I wanted and I told her to surprise me. Some blending later, I had a perfectly strong rum drink to make me feel like I was going to the islands. She told us that the weekend is the top time to check 809 out. From the ample bar space and pool tables in the venue, I thought that sounded right. She also mentioned that, to her knowledge, this was the only Dominican bar/restaurant in the Nashville area. That's just crazy. I know Nashville is still growing and the city hasn't fully settled into what it's going to be but... Imma need Nashville to hurry up and attract more of my peoples.** For right now, 809 is a solid 3.5 for me. The lack of food is a bummer and I'd need to see the joint in full swing to go up/down but for what I experienced, I appreciated what they're doing and I hope they have the business to support it. I'll be back. *An insane telenovela was playing above the bar, which made me all sorts of happy. **Depends on the day/circumstance.

They just opened their kitchen and are offering a variety of Dominican, Mexican and Central-American dishes. I tried their Sancocho (Caribbean beef stew) and Tacos (al pastor and Chorizo) which were excellent. Their tacos are very well seasoned and not too greasy. As an appetizer I recommend the fried plantains and fried yuca with Chicharrón. People are very friendly; do not be surprised if someone invites you to dance salsa or bachata. I really enjoyed this place; I highly recommend it.
