So, imagine me, a worldly patron of this joint for a whole week, embracing it like a library for my scholarly studies (well, with a touch of booze, of course). Last Friday, things took a spicy turn when I was chilling with the waitress, planning a pool showdown amidst profound discussions. Then, out of the blue, this senior dude crashed our party like a meteorite landing in a hot tub!
He claimed my words were as welcome as a mosquito at a campfire and even accused me of resembling a "Trump supporter." Talk about a random roast! I tried to smooth things over, but Mr. Grumpy Cat wasn't having any of it. Maybe he felt like the bar's forgotten soul or had a history of "blackout" moments.
Next thing I know, the bartender head is spinning as she verbally berates me for upsetting her senior customer and she goes all Gandalf on me, demanding an immediate exit with a whopping $30 tab. I'm like, "Hold your horses, lady! I'm not paying until my brew is done." She called the police, and I was like, "Sure, bring in the party patrol!"
Outside, I was smoking away like a mini locomotive every other hour, reminiscing about knowing two of the waitresses since the Ice Age. I wasn't fleeing the scene with a $30 bounty on my head; it was all about principle, baby!
What followed was a hilarious showdown between me and the bartender, like a verbal swordfight of epic proportions. But wait, it gets better! Four unexpected heroes stepped up, a duo of chunky dudes, a spry pensioner, and a boomer in a white coat and a fedora - talk about the Avengers of the bar world!
You'd think this was some Shakespearean drama, but nope, just an over-the-top comedy. I've traveled the world for work, and never have I encountered such a wild showdown at a watering hole in Saskatchewan or Manitoba.
Usually, when I dine like a king on a fancy bone steak for $45, they'd offer me another if I sneezed wrong. But here, they're going all medieval over a $30 tab! Can you believe it?
(I regularly spend 80$ here and tip handsomely)
At this point, I'm more entertained than a stand-up comedy show. I'd gladly pay a $230 fine as im dying for a smoke but the bartender "Meeka" and her merry-men have assumed a human wall, forcibly confining me and even escalated to physical attack adminitered the spry pensioner willing to draw blood over 30$. $30 for the lackluster service and the verbal brawl.
And guess what? The next day, I contacted the owner, who enters the scene , thinking I'm some kind of bar-wrecker, shouting at me like a dragon protecting its treasure. But hey, I just wanted some fairness and respect!
But fret not, my friend, this little adventure has bestowed upon me a treasure of knowledge and a tale to regale for ages to come. Next stop, the Chronicles of Bartender Wars! read more
