I don't have a lot of free time so I got the full shebang when I went here. I got a facial, mani and pedi and brazilian wax. From greeting at the reception to leaving everyone was very nice and professional and the whole process was very pleasant and smooth. The girl I had , Hannah, was super sweet and very skilled! Major bonus and why more places don't do this: playing Friends on the TV while doing a Brazilian wax!! Genius!! It distracted me from any pain but even then I felt very little pain as she used a hard wax which I hadn't been given before and it was amazing for waxing that area...very painless. They hardly spoke to me and then they finally saw me once I went to the counter again, 20 minutes after my appointment was meant to begin. Turns out there was a scheduling error, and they were nice about it... I was still pissed. Then the tides shifted. I got my arms fully waxed in under six minutes and it was under $30. But most recently, Kim, did my opi gel manicure and it was pretty great. I haven't had this precise of a polish application in a long while. I'm not super picky when it comes to manicures because it'll only be on my nails for a few weeks and I don't have the energy to be super nip-picky but I was so pleasantly surprised by the manicure quality. I walked in for my appt and was surprised. Everything is in place and looks so nice. Once in my room for the wax I couldn't believe I saw a tv where I could watch tv while getting my wax done. Honestly where else do you get that? I love the fact they don't double dip and that they alternate between using wax strips and just the wax to remove the hair. They do a very thorough job - I got into positions I never got into before in my life! (may come in handy for other things though...!) This place is a little pricier than what I usually pay, but maybe it't time for an upgrade. I will definitely try out their other services. I like that they have a location Yonge/Eglinton/Lawrence area (another one is downtown).

This consent form asks you to waive all your legal rights if you are injured .. even due to Ten Spot's negligence. I wrote an email but got no reply. So for me it's goodbye The Ten Spot. I'll find a place where there is no paperwork and where I know they'll take responsibility for any wrongs.

The room had a tv playing an old Friends episode, and friendly reminders about what to do post-service. I particularly liked the sign on the ceiling that reminded you that the pain is worth it. Haha. I liked that they used a combination of waxes. Shanna performed the entire service in 20 minutes (there's even a clock on the wall). She moved quickly and was very professional.
