I took my husbands phone On October 12th The man told me that he would call me the next day when the tool got there to diagnose what was going on with it have yet to have heard a response almost a month and a half later never can get anyone to answer on top of that when my husband went in the next day to go pick up the phone the man tried to get him to pay for what I had already paid for again at this point I'm just pissed off and I would love to have my phone back but you can't get a hold of them because they don't answer their phones and also they keep the door locked/or closed during their so-called business hours 1000% do not recommend this place I've been trying to get a hold of them since I drop the phone off!!!!!!!!!!!!! Starting out my service was awful. No other words for it. I left my laptop that I use for college there and I was supposed to get a call on pricing. Well I waited and a week went by and no call. I called them and they put me on hold for over 10 minutes so I hung up and called again the next day. Same thing. So after a few weeks I went to pick it up and they were closed during business hours. Now for the reason to give them 5 stars. I went in today and they were open. I find a Male working and ask him about my laptop demanding that I have it back since they would not fix it. He tells me how they've had issues lately, and they fired everyone there. Now they only have two people working. I said I still wanted to take it back and have someplace else fix it because of how long it took to get it. He asks if I knew about the $30 charge for them looking at it and I said no. Then he waives the fee for me because of all the trouble. So if you've had issues with them I think they deserve another chance to prove them self's. read more

For starters the place is very hard to reach and it never seems like the guy there is happy you called him. I called on a Wednesday to get my phone fixed and was told that a part would be overnighted so that way i could come in and get it fixed the next day, i call the next day to find out it wasn't actually overnighted because the new screen that was ordered was nowhere close to being at the store. I ended up having to wait til Tuesday of the following week. That's not even the worst part, i finally get my phone fixed with a new screen and shortly after i get a phone call and my front speaker doesn't work and so now i have to use headphones or be on speaker when i want to make a call. I would never recommend this place to a friend and am going to try to get my money back. read more

I took my phone here recently (5/27/15) because it stopped allowing me to take photos or listen to music that I had downloaded. The guy who was working that day was a heavy set guy with glasses who looked at my phone for 3 minutes and told me that I had a prong that was bent. He said he could hear a strange sound when he slid the SD card back into the phone. Funny that I did not see a bent prong as he had claimed nor did I hear a funny sound when sliding the SD card back into the phone myself. Turns out there were no prongs bent. The problem was with the SD card itself. It had gone bad and all I needed was a replacement. This is something I figured out on my own. I went to Walmart today (5/30/15) and bought one and now my phone works like brand new. I can take pictures again and listen/download music as I had before. I almost threw this phone away and was almost ready to buy a new one because of this liar. He lied to me just to get me out of the store. I don't see this business being around for very long. First, I had an appointment at 9am which they were late to show up to work. Second after observing my phone issues they charged me $400 up front to replace glass on my front and back of phone (which I was ok to pay), but they never gave me the impression that there could be more charges. I told them my speaker was not working before I ever payed. They replaced the glass but then did not repair the speaker and also messed up my camera that was working. Now neither of my cameras work and they want more money to fix issues they caused plus they did not even fix one of the main issues I had. When I went to pick up my phone that was not completely fixed they were a smart Alec and told me to have a good day and laughed in my face as I turned to walk out. Wanting phone # to be transferred from a smart phone to a flip phone wish can't be done, it can only be done by Verizon and told me that John at the Corbin Verizon Store would do this for me. John did a great job and thanks to the Tech Guys I got the #'s on an old flip phone. read more

I didn't want to do this but I just can't help myself because I would really hate for this to happen to the next person. I went to "The Tech Guys" in Corbin, ky. I went there only to get the screen the glass replaced on my iPad Air. Well I had already spoke to someone over messenger on Facebook for a quote before I went into the store who quoted me $97. However because it's an iPad Air of course after I got there and they recognized that they said no that wasn't the price that it would be $111.00. Oh and the advertising how they can fix your screen in a couple hours yeah no that's a lie too. They only order parts once or twice a week because they obviously do not keep enough business to keep parts on hand at the store. So I was told on a Thursday it would be the following Tuesday before I would get my tablet back. Fine whatever well here comes Tuesday and now there is an LCD broke in it which for those of you who aren't tech savvy like my self it causes a line to go through the screen not a big deal but oh it will eventually get bigger if not fixed. So yeah sure fine first I was told it would be $65 then I was put on hold and I guess inflation happened in the mean time because oh that was the old price now it's $75. K so when do I Get my tablet back Thursday Friday at the latest. Friday afternoon come no phone call so I call them this time I spoke to a lovely lady who was actually very professional considering and who informed me it would be the following wed before the part even got there then proceeded to ask me if I had already paid or not.... Lol.. So anyways I went to pick up the tablet they will call me when the part comes in whenever time It decides to come in next week. I get the tablet home only to find out that now the "home" button isn't working on it... So save your money don't use them i went against what I had heard about the business I thought I would save my self a trip to Lexington but I guess that's what I get for. Thinking .. I will be going back to the business wed and they will definitely be fixing what I paid for but I wasn't about to Not give them a review after what happened to me and what I have heard about them. I'm honestly concerned that they actually lost my iPad. Have to pay for part upfront and they act like they are bothered when you come in to check on it and make excuses that the owner in gone every time I arrive. I took my computer to get fixed which they told me 3 days 3 weeks later they still did not have it fixed after 4 weeks they said it was fixed and I picked it up got it home and they did not put the all the parts back in the computer. brought my ipad to get the broken screen fixed. took 3 months to get it back. the screen wasnt on all the way and it broke that night. they refused to give me a refund. the place I took it to to get it fixed again said the people used super glue not real glue. and fake glass thats not meant for tablets. these guys are jerks. theyre rude. unprofessional. and take way to long to repair something incorrectly. i wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. read more

My iPhone 6 Plus needed a new screen it was usable but not pretty. 100$ and a new screen and now it will not work at all. I took my sons iPad Air in to have the screen replaced. I bought a screen and took it in. Today we picked it up and got it home, the screen doesn't work. It won't unlock or anything. (Did not have this problem before) then the screen cracked just from normal light touches. This was all in the span of 2 hours. I called and calmly explained the issue and he was so rude. I told him that I should get atleast a partial refund of the $50 I paid him since my once usable iPad had been rendered useless. He then compared my iPad to a used car. Total scam artists. DO NOT GO HERE PLEASE! Horrible service is one thing, but theft is quite another. About 4 months ago I took in a Samsung Galaxy S8+ for a screen replacement. The quote sounded fair so I left my device with them. I was told to call back by Friday if nobody had called me by then. So I call and the girl tells me that what I paid was not enough because somebody misquoted the price on the Galaxy S7 Edge. Uh, I don't have an S7 Edge I explained; my device is the S8+. She puts me on hold and I can hear quarreling in the background. After 10 minutes or so, she remained undaunted that my device was the S7 Edge and the price would be nearly double what I already paid because the touch screen digitizer would need replaced as well as the LCD display. After another ten minutes of arguing with the lady -- to no avail by the way -- I hung up the phone and went straight to the store. I demanded a refund and the return of my S8+. Not only did I not get a refund, I was returned a Galaxy S7 Edge that was not mine. It was also password locked and Google locked so I could not get into the phone to find the rightful owner. So I lost a $500 S8+ and $110 I gave these crooks. When I told the owner what had happened (some a-hole named Thad) he asked to see my receipt (which is supposed to list your device name & serial #). I never got a receipt in the first place. Without a receipt, he curtly explained, it was simply my word against theirs. That's okay though. I took my iPhone 6 here and paid $150 for a new screen to be installed after water damage was inflicted. The phone worked fine for a few months until one day the screen quit working. My touchscreen was no longer responding to my touch so I started examining the phone and saw that the actual screen was coming detached from the phone. Clearly an installation issue. I took it back and was not even offered to have it looked at. Instead was told up front I would have to pay another $150 to get it fixed after being told it was a parts issue that only had a 90 day warranty! I then had a person I really trust take the phone apart in front of me and low and behold, the screen was missing FIVE screws needed to hold it on, another part had been placed in the wrong spot, and the cover to my battery was missing. He called to explain this to them (as I am not a phone genius, but he is) and they were very rude. Did not offer to fix it even though it was clearly something they did wrong. Bottom line, save your money and take your phone to apple or to someone who actually knows what they are doing/how to properly run a business. I run my own business and I can tell you one thing: anytime a customer has a problem with something that was clearly my fault, I will definitely offer some type of compensation and own up to my mistakes. The "tech guys" were of no help and showed no sign of manning up and owning up to their problem. It's sad to see grown men twice my age handling their business that way. read more
